Tuna has high tenacity of mercure and eggs colesterole but you can eat the white .

Some other things you can eat for proteine .

greek yogourt, cottage chease , lentille and all kind of beans .

Avocado,Olives, Olive oil , nuts , Natural peanut butter .

I like Hummus too .

Anyways you should have a ratio of 40 % proteine 40 % carbs and 20 % fat(good fat)
each meal .Each time you eat, you should always question you what will be your activity for the next 3 hour .If you go to the gym, you eat more , if not reduce your portion or take in consideration the amount of energy you will need. Slack on pasta, potatos and rice . If you want to gain mass and be lean reduce your portion of this kind of carb and eat more fruit . Ah and taking too much proteine don't do much if your body don't want it . He will take what he needs and eliminate the exedent .

You are not going to get the number of grams of carbs you need to increase mass from just fruits and vegetables. Oats, pasta, rice and potatos definitely need (and good).

Different people respond to different macro breakdowns differently, but I do actually use 40/40/20.

If you're not doing steroids, and your bodyfat is <15%, the odds that you will ever be "too big," that you'll look like a big bad meathead, even if you tried to be, are vanishingly small.

A while back, when there was a thread about this here, I asked on a bodybuilding forum if any guy, in the course of getting bigger, had ever seen his results with women get worse. No one said yes. The threat of being "too big," for the vast majority of people, is pure myth.

He's not 220 in that video. Remember that atheltes a) exagerrate height/weight b) always get quoted at that height / weight throughout their career despite fluctuations.

1974. George Foreman. 216.5. 27.1 BMI

And boxers get weighed publicly the day before the fight.

Ali isn't slim. Trim yes, slim no.

My point was not to replace completly this carbs by veggies/fruit but, reduce their portion and adding them .
Pasta, bread, rice, potatos are your belly nightmare .

Roosh, how much are you losing? I recently didn't lift for nearly a month, but only lost 5-10 lbs, much of it fat. It's pretty common to lose 5 lbs quickly after ending a bulking phase. If you're losing any more of that, it means you're not eating enough to just maintain. I just got back to my peak, gained ~10 lbs in the space of a week or two.

I've gained 50 lbs since starting to lift, 65 since I got to my current height, and I'll never get anywhere close to my starting weight.

Fat is your friend. Butter, bacon, coconut oil, olive oil, heavy cream, sour cream, suet, lard... learn to cook with them. Steam rice with some butter, then fry the leftovers with more butter. Fatty cuts of meat in the slow cooker.

If you stick to low fat foods, it will be incredibly hard to eat enough calories.

The point it's to take good fat, not low fat . We need good fat .
Butter, bacon and all kind of cream and all kind of fry it's direct in your belly . Avoid it .

For roosh.. if your loosing weight it's because you don't eat enough or miss protein in your meal. After a while if the pattern continue you will be weakier but with some fat on the belly . Your body when He doesn't had enough supply he is smart he will take everything in reserve in case you cannot supply him anymore . Even if I don't doing any weight I don't loose any weight if I eat properly .

Agreed. Most of the regulars at my gym look like gorillas, a look exacerbated by their baggy clothes. Past a certain point, adding muscle is going to make you look worse unless you really focus on your proportions (like Arnold in Pumping Up).

You knock meatheads and then compliment Ali's physique. That's like saying, "Fuck man, luxury cars like Maybachs are a waste of money. A Rolls Royce Phantom is all you need." Maybe we've all got different ideas on what constitutes a Meathead.

This is what the Dic says [Image: smile.gif]

"An enormously muscular guy who cannot hold a conversation about anything other than weight-lifting and protein shakes. Gets upset very quickly when he cannot complete his own sentences and thoughts. Can be found at nightclubs wearing shirts that are 10 sizes too small (if at all). They are by far the most closely related human beings to that of apes, chimpanzees, and other primate. They are evolutionary hindered and are less capable of following directions than a dead hamster."

For me it's guys who are just interested in getting Big and Bigger and not much else..not really interested in sport or being athletic. And usually on the juice.

I just prefer an athletic physique, and I could never eat the amount needed to keep a Big physique..fulltime job I think.

One meathead ,One supreme athlete...what metamorphosis would you prefer? [Image: smile.gif]

Bulking is a bitch to do if you have a fast metabolism. The costs and time you need to pack in calories sucks. I admit tho even just filling out 5-6 pounds so far has been worth it, how long do you guys stay on your bulk cycles? They say healthy weight gain is at about 1-2lbs a month, anything more and it may be shitty weight that's going strait to your gut.

I stay on my weight gain for most of the Winter and three months min then shred it during spring. I don't know about tht 1-2 lbs a month fuck that noise. my gains have been more like 1 to 2 a week. But I'm on that mass gainer and I think it helps that my metabolism slowed once I turned 30

Even with my moderate bulks, the minute I slow down my eating or workouts I deflate right back. Muscles are really high maintenance.

Story of my workout career. The only time I could keep it on, and keep adding was when I was in college, living in the dorms my first two years. Food was more or less in endless supply, so I could eat at will. Couple that with no longer being involved in high school sports and it is very easy to see how freshmen girls gain so much weight.

I was going to ask what are your recommended sources of omega 3 and D3, but google works wonders.

Looks like flax seeds, walnuts, soybeans, sardines, salmon and some other sea foods are the big winners for Omega 3:

And for D3, I'm seeing salmon and sardines again, as well as, milk (duh), eggs and cod liver oil.

Now, I will ask would you recommend taking dietary supplements, or trying to get these out of the foods listed above, or perhaps something else?

Honestly I would HIGHLY advise AGAINST soy, milk and flax seeds for Omega 3's. None of those sources are very good compared to Fish Oil.

Standing out in the sun in shorts for 30 mins or longer and NOT showering for 2 days is the best way to get D3 into your body. If you choose not to do that you should supplement D3 from a capsule. preferably 5000 IU's.
Take 20,000 - 30,000 IU's (4 - 6 capsules) 2 times a week.

make sure to take the pills through out the day NOT all at once.
here are some links to help get you started.

Fish Oil (Omega 3)

Vitamin D3

It really depends on how you train, what you are currently eating and what goals you have. What is your Ht and Wt ? I would need to see some kind of daily sample diet and workout routine before I advised anything.

Probably somewhere in between. But you have to take into account height, bodyfat and proportions. ALi's physique from that pic looks like something that can be attained without lifting weighs while the meathead's physique from above is something much harder to achieve .

Personally, I wont to show to go with the go and I want to look reasonable big and athletic at the same time, so I combine my werightlifting with Hill sprints, Burpees, boxing and the like. The results are the best of both worlds.

Approx 6', 164. I'm pretty underweight, IMO. Then again, I don't think I'd ever really want to be more than 185.

Good thing meat heads aren't trying to attract you! Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I've rolled with these kinda cats before, and plenty of chicks want to rub the biceps. So if he spits, she initiates kino, it's pretty simple from that point on.

More importantly, a lot of dudes aren't going to jump into your set if you look like you can kick their ass.

Plus getting that kinda testosterone becomes part of your daily life..

Do you think girl's would turn you down for looking like this? For being natural, 6'4", 290 and ripped?

Nah, I don't think so.

Stop trying to feel good about yourself by calling other men "too big." It's like you chose to buy a Honda, and then justify it by saying that no one *really* likes Mercedes or Bentleys anyway.

Quote:Quote:

Karelin is proof you have no clue what you're talking about. One of the greatest athletes of all time, and he was impossibly huge.

You sound like a fat chick. "I just prefer to eat what I like. I could never exercise and eat healthy enough to keep a slim physique." You're just belittling something because you don't want to do the work to get it, and not because that thing is unattractive or undesirable.

If you want to be skinny or fat, have boils all over your face, whatever, but don't try and bullshit me that your condition is the height of aesthetics. This is what all these "too big" debates turn into. The person who talks about guys being "too big" is argued into a corner, and then he pretends that the whole time he was only talking about his own, personal preference. That his opponents have simply misunderstood him.

Another thread where the little guys HATE.

They are mad because they can't "fake it until they make it."

Either you have a body, or you don't. No card tricks are going to trick 6's to sleep with them.

In any event, this is a thread for guys who actually look like they lift weights, to talk about food.

The pencil necks and guys with 13" biceps can find another thread.

theres not a hope in HELL someone can gain 25lbs of muscle ONLY in a few months if your natural.absolutely impossible

if you are natural the most you can gain of muscle in a year (or even more) is a measly 6-10 pounds, and thats at the high scale, when people start getting beginner gains!!.

dont know where you pulled that from in a few months.even if your training and diet are on point for say 6months,id say youl only even gain around 3 pounds of solid muscle,no fat

I agree on tuna. Avoid it.
You can eat eggs every day as far as I'm concerned, the cholesterine myth has been debunked, total bullshit.

Why no tuna?

It containts mercury which is bad for you.

I just prefer an athletic physique, and I could never eat the amount needed to keep a Big physique..fulltime job I think.

One meathead ,One supreme athlete...what metamorphosis would you prefer?

You haven't argued me into a corner pal.
I said I think the meathead look isn't what I would want and don't understand the attraction, and that people seem to have different ideas about what one is.
The photo I posted is my idea of a typical meathead..juiced.

You sound like you have a problem with people having an opinion different to yours.
But that's not my problem !

I laugh at you, because you can't even read past the first sentence. He gained 55 pounds total, and 31 pounds lean body mass. And you also don't know how to capitalize letters. It's uncanny how the dumbest posts routinely also have the worst capitalization, punctuation and grammar.
