Agreed. Most of the regulars at my gym look like gorillas, a look exacerbated by their baggy clothes. Past a certain point, adding muscle is going to make you look worse unless you really focus on your proportions (like Arnold in Pumping Up).

Get a crock pot. Put your food in (on low) before bed. Then pack it up for work/save the rest for dinner.

You can do all sorts of roasts. Line the crock pot with veggies and potatoes. Throw a lean roast on top.

Throw some ground beef/turkey in with beans or lentils.

Season some chicken thighs, throw them in.

I do whole rotisserie chickens. No need to add veggie stock. Just toss it in and it'll stay moist.

On weekend, throw stuff in crock pot when you wake up. Hot dinner will be ready for you around 6 p.m.

Mike, yeah man, it's looking like getting a crock pot/ slow roaster would be the money move especially to cook meal that may last a few day. I really need to bone up on this roast game, I'm sorta of intimidated when it comes to meats I haven't cooked before but damn I'm down to get it in... Thanks for the idea and to everyone else talking about the crockpot game

Salmon burgers from costco, 4 minutes per side on the stove. eat 2, 40gop.

pasta + good jarred sauce (Rao's - delicious, all natural). 4oz of pasta = around 80 carbs. takes about 10-15 minutes to cook depending on how hot your flame is.

organic brown rice bowls from costco. cook in 90 seconds, around 60 grams of carbs. uncle bens sells a similar product at grocery stores, but it has a bunch of processed stuff in it.

peanut butter

Example of my diet:

Meal 1 (and 2)
Smoothie ( 20oz Oatmeal, 8 oz Blueberries, 12oz Milk, 2 scoops whey isolate. Drink 1/3 of this soon as a wakeup and the other 2/3 after i train before i go to work

Middle of workout
Post-workout supp (simple carbs, creatine, glutamine)
2 scoops Whey

Meal 3
~8oz Chicken Breast
1 Rice bowl

Meal 4
Hard Boiled Eggs
Peanut Butter

Meal 5
~8oz chicken
banana

Meal 6
10oz filet
4 oz Pasta
bowl of brocolli

Meal 7
2 cups of cottage cheese

Theoak ... man that salmon burger sounds money... I can already see my self putting one on a potato roll. Thanks for this,

stupid question but I like white rice, why is brown rice better I think a lot of pro also eat brown rice too, do you know?

Hey Roosh,

I've got a thread coming from pictures showing how I'm doing it I don't want to ruin it but I started at 155 this year rock bottom, wait till you see where I'm at and the difference. I think this thread will help just to reference what I eat.

To me Meathead is more a state of mind than an actual size... it's just people who love lifting or working out seriously rather than every now and then or a few times a week. The dudes that know what the fuck they're doing it

Pros generally eat very little red meat. Lean cuts of meat are what we're looking for. Bulking isn't a free ticket to eat high fat, high cholesterol foods. Cheat meals are more abundant in a bulk, but the majority of meals are still clean

I think you are seriously underestimating how much food a professional boxer eats in a day. Manny eats 7000 calories a day and weights much less than Ali did. If your not on steriods and want to get as muscular and cut as Ali, you will need to EAT.

You are probably lacking high levels of omega 3 fat and Vitamin D3. Increase your fat and d3 and you keep what you work for during hunger and even starvation periods.

Ali was fighting at 220+ lbs. Sure he was lean as fuck, but that was not a small dude.

Yeah, they're awesome - the ones at Costco anyway (Trident brand). I got a different brand from Sam's club once and didn't like them. Protip- put a pickle slice on top, makes them taste even better.

This, plus glycemic index is supposed to be lower as well. Not that I totally avoid white rice, but brown is definitely better to eat daily.

Bulking is a bitch to do if you have a fast metabolism. The costs and time you need to pack in calories sucks. I admit tho even just filling out 5-6 pounds so far has been worth it, how long do you guys stay on your bulk cycles? They say healthy weight gain is at about 1-2lbs a month, anything more and it may be shitty weight that's going strait to your gut.

nothing wrong with good cuts of steak. heaps of protein, natural creatine, etc. not sure why you are using 'pros' (bodybuilders) as your measuring stick for overall health - bodybuilders are not healthy.

You eat to much carbs and not enough vegetebale/fruit .

I don't know if you eat tuna/eggs each day but you should not .

Tuna has high tenacity of mercure and eggs colesterole but you can eat the white .

Some other things you can eat for proteine .

greek yogourt, cottage chease , lentille and all kind of beans .

Avocado,Olives, Olive oil , nuts , Natural peanut butter .

I like Hummus too .

Anyways you should have a ratio of 40 % proteine 40 % carbs and 20 % fat(good fat)
each meal .Each time you eat, you should always question you what will be your activity for the next 3 hour .If you go to the gym, you eat more , if not reduce your portion or take in consideration the amount of energy you will need. Slack on pasta, potatos and rice . If you want to gain mass and be lean reduce your portion of this kind of carb and eat more fruit . Ah and taking too much proteine don't do much if your body don't want it . He will take what he needs and eliminate the exedent .

You will not have any major problem , especially at a young age . But it raise your % for sure . I eat a lot of eggs ,my self and I would eat eggs each meal If I could . My point was not a warning but maybe take a break from eggs maybe 2 days a weak and eat something else . You can also take a shake the morning with a scoop of protein,1 banana, natural peanut butter , liquid white egg and take it on the go . It's a good alternative .

Roosh, how much are you losing? I recently didn't lift for nearly a month, but only lost 5-10 lbs, much of it fat. It's pretty common to lose 5 lbs quickly after ending a bulking phase. If you're losing any more of that, it means you're not eating enough to just maintain. I just got back to my peak, gained ~10 lbs in the space of a week or two.

I've gained 50 lbs since starting to lift, 65 since I got to my current height, and I'll never get anywhere close to my starting weight.

Fat is your friend. Butter, bacon, coconut oil, olive oil, heavy cream, sour cream, suet, lard... learn to cook with them. Steam rice with some butter, then fry the leftovers with more butter. Fatty cuts of meat in the slow cooker.

If you stick to low fat foods, it will be incredibly hard to eat enough calories.

Agreed. Most of the regulars at my gym look like gorillas, a look exacerbated by their baggy clothes. Past a certain point, adding muscle is going to make you look worse unless you really focus on your proportions (like Arnold in Pumping Up).

You knock meatheads and then compliment Ali's physique. That's like saying, "Fuck man, luxury cars like Maybachs are a waste of money. A Rolls Royce Phantom is all you need." Ali was fighting at 220 lbs, 6'3", for a BMI of ~27. Far, far from "normal," or "typical." Besides, you'd see Ali more often shirtless than shirted, making him seem even bigger - do you walk around topless in daily life too?

If you're not doing steroids, and your bodyfat is <15%, the odds that you will ever be "too big," that you'll look like a big bad meathead, even if you tried to be, are vanishingly small.

A while back, when there was a thread about this here, I asked on a bodybuilding forum if any guy, in the course of getting bigger, had ever seen his results with women get worse. No one said yes. The threat of being "too big," for the vast majority of people, is pure myth.
