I have them. Best investment I ever made. However there are a few things:

I consider resin veneers a waste of money, they break and they stain.
Porcelain is the way to go but will run you about 300 a piece compared to 80 for the resin.

Also realize this isn't a one time thing, you need to have cleanings, the veneers are going to chip, you also have to consider the warranty. Porcelian usually come with a two year guaranty and resin come with a one year guarantee. That's not how long they will last, it's just how long they will replace them free of charge.

I started off with 10 porcelain and 9 resins, that's 19 in total, the reason it wasn't 20 is because I have a crown and you can't put veneers on a crown. One year later I got the resins replaced with porcelain.

I got mine in Colombia. Go to Serbia or Thailand if you live in Europe.

Ask for color OBII. OB I is too white in my opinion.

Again, I am very happy with mine. I couldn't afford them in the states and don't know how much they would cost. Also, you may need to get other dental work done before you get the veneers, like your mercury fillings replaced with white ones.

@RatInTheWoods

Mind if I ask where you had them done, and how much it cost? I’m also in Thailand and looking to have similar work done. Thanks.

Would you guys consider this if you have perfectly aligned and normal teeth but just want the Hollywood white smile? This is one of the short cuts that money can buy to instantly make you look better. I’m a coffee drinker so I always have that yellowish hue on my teeth. Teeth whitening didn’t work for me. Otherwise, my teeth looks good and I’m hesitant to have the dentist reduce my otherwise healthy teeth to fit the veneers. Thoughts?

Most dentist offer minimally invasive veneers where they don't destroy your original teeth. Mine can be removed if I choose to, which I don't, unless I can no longer afford the upkeep. The most important thing when getting veneers is getting a good dentist. It's the same as getting a tattoo. Find someone who knows what they are doing, instead of the cheapest and most convenient guy. Instagram is a good way to judge this, look at the before and after, as well as the clientele of the dentist.

I have perfectly aligned teeth that are very hard and should last the rest of my life. With that said, they’re not pearly white. I don’t drink coffee. Coffee stains are generally superficial and removed during the polishing phase of your regular cleaning. It’s very possible your teeth are pigmented like mine. The dentist offers to get me some shit to whiten them but I’m not doing it. I’ll deal with their slight discoloration. No grinders or harsh chemicals for my grill.

Looking more into this. Looks like Lumineers or no-prep veneers is the way to go.

Incredible investment! I got my resin ones like 3 years ago. So far they have stained a little bit but stil look amazing. Planning on changing to porcelain when I have enough cash to do so. I drink black coffee every day and casually smoke but the veeners still look really good!

it is important to get maintainance done on them every couple of months.

A friend of mine is a dentist in Europe and from what he tells me, a large portion of his clients come to him with botched dentist jobs they got done cheaply in Thailand. I have no doubt that there are good dentists in Thailand, but be careful.

In Mexico/Thailand they are about $400 each.

US $1500-2000 on average in decent metros.

I’m now considering Cancún instead of Mexico. Specifically, Cancún Dental Specialists as they look very pro and have tons of positive and legit reviews.

I got 6 porcelain veneers on my front teeth in Bangkok 4 years ago. They still look brand new, and I’ve received many compliments on how amazing my teeth are now. A girl I know had hers done in Australia for more than double the cost, and isn’t happy with them, but loves mine, which goes to show there are good and bad dentists everywhere. I highly recommend getting veneers- definitely one of the most effective ways to increase your confidence and success with women.

This is a timely thread, I've recently been looking into getting veneers done also.

Tho I was blessed with a decent set of teeth I haven't been very good at looking after them and have some pretty horrible looking silver fillings (courtesy of the NHS) around the back. So will probably require a fair bit of pre-work to sort shit out before getting the actual veneers done. Although I've put it off for an eternity, now I'm making decent coin these days I want to finally go get them sorted out.

Zero point paying through the nose to get it done in Singapore when Thailand is so close. I'm sure I should be able to get it sorted in 2-3 weekend trips to Bangkok/Phuket.

Want to make sure I get a good dentist and happy to pay a bit extra to ensure it'll get done properly. Will PM a few of you here for recommendations

Did anyone get the veneers created in-house at the dentists?

Cancun Dental Specialists crest the veneers themselves in-house so it only takes a day or two. Most send them out which takes a week or two.

What's the point of changing silver fillings? How often does one see the back fillings of another's mouth? I always thought the front would be enough. Or would the contrast be too visible?

What about future dental work? Would veneers hinder any future shit that needs to be done or can a dentist still fix your tooth just as easily with them?

My understanding is those are not as good as the porcelain veneers but are substantially less expensive. But I'm hardly an expert.

You are correct. Most dentist make the resin's in their office. Porcelain veneers usually take around 8 business days to be made by an outside lab.

I would be happy to recommend two dentist in Colombia, both in Medellin, if anyone wants to go Colombia. you'll need to plan to be here around 3 weeks to do everything, consult, cleaning, fixing old teeth, changing old fillings, a mold for your veneers, a test run by placing the veneerers on to see if they all fit and what minor changes need to be made, the actually fitting and placement of the veneers, coming back for last check-up, receiving your mouthguard bracket. It's a process, not something you can do in a weekend, if you want it done right.

It really makes no sense to get them in the states, but you can probably find out how much they cost in various cities on realself.com. But in Colombia, the market is competitive so the prices usually stay around 300USD per tooth for porcelain and 60-80 per tooth for resin. You usually do 20 veneers, 10 on top and 10 on bottom. If you absolutely can not afford the porcelain veneers thoughout your whole mouth, then get the top 6 and bottom 6 porcelain and the other 8 resin and change them as you make more money.

Venners are somewhat transparent, that is what makes them look like actual teeth instead of making you look like a retard in a rap video with some sort of make-shift grill. If you have a grey filling behind a somewhat transparent white venner, it's going to look out of place compared to the rest of the teeth because of the way the light reflect. I'ts really not something to stress about though, you can get 10 filling done in Colombia for about $200. It's a small price to pay for perfection. I had 15 fillings redone that the military fucked up.

As far as future work on a tooth with a veneer, maybe if it was on the back of the tooth, otherwise you'll need to remove the veneer, do the work, and then get a new veneer.

@linux

Can I get the recommendation for the dentists in Medellin? I’ve been thinking about going down there for a couple weeks anyway...

I was planning on only getting my top 8 teeth done as my bottoms never really show and are fine. But I suppose I could go the full grill...

If you can PM me the info on the dentist you recommend that'd be greatly appreciated. I tried PMing you but your PMs are disabled.

Thanks brahsef!

Found this website. See below. I’m considering getting mine done in Manila, Ho Chi Minh, Medellin, or Cancun.

While Im highly considering Medellin or Cancun due to their proximity to the US, Ho Chi Minh could also be a good place to get this done. Quality work while not paying US prices. I’ve been there 4x and I noticed that they take aesthetics very seriously there. I dated girls there who’ve had veneers and other cosmetic enhancements done. I messaged them just now to ask for recommendations. Waiting for reply. It does really make a difference on their appearance.

Here’s the website with the prices of veneers and lumineers. Let us know here if anyone is in Saigon and decides to check out this place. Disclaimer, I don’t have any affiliation nor experience with this dental clinic. It is just the first one that showed up when I did an Internet search of “veneers Ho Chi Minh”. The website is in English. And they definitely seem to be geared towards marketing to medical cosmetic tourism.
