Khreschatyk is already done anyway. Didn't number close anything there, but as soon as I move a bit away from the center, I get interests. Just got 3 numbers in Auchan today while buying food. Great spot [Image: banana.gif]

I appreciate some of the value I was able to extract from this thread.....I will be making my first trip to Russia this summer (2 weeks) and then after hitting Romania and Ukraine (Kiev y Odessa) a week in each city.

I have lived the past 6 years in Colombia and from what I am reading it sounds like Kiev is faced with many of the same issues I see taking hold in Medellin. Overrun with sex tourist, thirsty guys running "spam game", and guys flocking there thinking its a paradise to realize it's not as easy as the internet says or mostly guys are doing p4p. A small % with knowledge of language/culture/good looks or social proof do the best.

It will be mostly a recon trip to get a feel for the city and the culture, girls are a bonus not the end all for me....yes I know language goes a long way....and to have Russian fluency just like Spanish in Colombia is a game changer and to be clear I have very little Russian under my belt.

From what I gather Moscow will be the crown jewel on my trip (I like big cities with layers), but I do want to see Ukraine if I am in that part of the world. Both cities also have a potential job opportunity in the future and I realize the benefits of long term sunk in living in a city compared to a few weeks....again just seeing day to day life helps me in my decision making.

(yes I know it's summer and that is not the best time but it's my free time to travel)

If anyone cares to add more info concerning cool daytime activities, gyms, and other night venues/restraunts (above average dining venues) I appreciate the help.....before I get asked I am in my 40's...on the taller side and in decent shape and won't be slumming it....any Colombian concerns or issues feel free to pm...

I've mentionned a few favorites of mine in Nola's Moldova 2018 Datasheet thread.

The fact is that you have an abundance of very good dining options in Kiev, many of them mixing excellent cuisine and enjoyable atmosphere/decorative features. Culinary-wise, I would even rate Kiev above Paris, maybe not in the variety of cuisines and products, but in the effort to create venues with atmosphere. Not as cheap as one might think though (it's quite easy to spend 70/80€ for two and this not even in top high-end venues), especially when it comes to imported wine.

Being a gourmet myself, and enjoying to indulge myself (and also treat my dates or GFs - I know that it's not the mindset of most of the posters here), I can send you more recommandations by PM if you need.

Are the Beach Clubs picking up yet in Kiev? I have to briefly hop over from Moldova for business and trying to put it off for another month but might not be possible.

These birds are solid 8s in my view. Some people here have ridiculous standards.

Note to self: If Batka says someday that a place is "a paradise filled with 8's+", don't go there - it means in fact that it's a dump filled with (at best) sub-7's.

Are you pissed yet Prosal?

Off topic, and just for your information, the price for bespoke (what you call "handmade", and which is different from "made to measure" or "made to order" - a shoe that may be in the finishing you request, but in your closest standard shoe size) shoes is more from around 3,500 € +. For some 800/1,000 € you "just" have a top men's shoe designer (Weston, Bottega Veneta, ect ect ect), high-quality, but mass-produced pair.

Manufacturers of bespoke shoes that I know (but there's many more I guess, especially in Italy - and also in Spain and Portugal, with lower prices, but don't know if quality is there) :

John Lobb ≈ 6,000 €
Berluti ≈ 6,000 € (v.s about 1,600 € for a mass-produced pair)
Corthay ≈ 5,000 €
Stephane Jimenez ≈ 6,000 €

Laszlo Case in Budapest and George Cleverly in London will make you a pair for a fraction of those costs.

I am one that also would really enjoy hearing more about these beach clubs and other things that actually relate to Kiev in this thread.

Nice Datasheet, Belarus.

I'm in Kiev now until May 5th. Would love to meet any members here. I mainly do online and night game. Asian-American in 30s. Intermediate game, dress/style above-average (for an American), 0 Russian, high bank role (for this forum). I've met members in Estonia, Finland, US, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Phils, Indo, etc. and generally have had good times. Used to know a couple local girls here but it seems they have moved away. I'm situated stone's throw away from Gulliver/Arena. I may not get the flag on a short trip but I'm staying open-minded and am on the look out for any luck that coming my way.

Avoid it until you're 30+. Western, central europe should be all you need. Follow the advice about social circles. (Think what kind of girl you want to meet, engage in the activity / join some class or group that has a lot of them in it).

Kiev is for older dudes with good game. The girl game here is super computer strong. Even among the youngest / low experience set--maybe even stronger. Also, almost everyone here will want to bite a little piece of you as a foreigner. It's wearying.
