When the girl asks me to buy a drink I go to bar and return with a pack of skittles instead.
Nightgame: Buying her a drink
If a girl asks me to buy her a drink then I for sure will not buy one.
But if I'm feeling the vibe and I'm enjoying a girls company then I will gladly get us a round of drinks at the bar.
The key is to not expect anything out of the drink. It's just a drink. If she sticks around and likes you, that drink serves a purpose of social lubrication.
If she doesn't stick around, then whatever. It's like $7 for a drink. If you're too broke/cheap to spend that, then don't. Doesn't need to be complicated.
Buying her a drink isn't necessary for a pull, but it can certainly lubricate the interaction if you know what you're doing.
On the other end of the spectrum, I've went out with my "high roller" friends. Guys that have a lot of money from partaking in certain illicit activities. Dropping a couple of racks in a night on bottle service is nothing to them. It attracts a lot of girls. Most of them are leeches / bottle rats, but they are all really gorgeous and dressed to the nines. And some of the girls aren't only bottle rats, some are legitimately attracted to the drug dealer bad boys that drop thousands of dollars on bottles and are covered in tattoos and nice Hugo Boss t-shirts and full of male bravado and machismo.
I have some of the best nights when I am out with these guys. But it's not true "game" in the sense because as soon as you remove the bottle service booth and the money, the girls would disappear QUICK.

Grant me serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference
At most if I am drinking a pitcher then I'll offer a cup after a bit if I enjoy her company. Otherwise she can get some other slob to pay for her drinks.

If you are doing this at a cocktail bar (a) have the place on lockdown and know exactly what to order and (b) carry it like it's an average Tuesday night for you.
If a man asks for a cocktail menu, you are no longer talking to a man.
You are talking to soy

I would never open with "hey blah blah blah let me buy you a drink* that's weak.

A) you're a socially well adjusted guy.
B) You're not a cheapskate.
C) You're signaling "hey, I'm interested in you sexually" in a very socially acceptable way. You're playing a card. After that, it's her turn to play a card such as buying you a drink, taking a selfie with you, initiating a little kino, suggesting you go play a game of pool, ect... If you buy the drink and she doesnt move her little checker, then its a very reliable indicator that she is shutting you down in a polite way.

I always get the first one and tell them "you can get the next one".
If they do, good.
If they don't, it's a sign.

I think it is generally better to not buy, than to buy "two cheap beers on tap". Hot/classy ladies dont drink beer when going out

Opposite to many guys, my intent when paying a drink to a woman is not to buy time to keep her around bantering, or listening to her boring stuff. My intent is to make her loosen up and get more tipsy so that my escalation to inside her pussy is swift and with the least possible resistance.
I can count by 1 or max 2, the times I payed a drink to a woman and got nothing in return (at least a make out), over the last years.
Also, the number of times I bought a girl a drink and didn't at least get a makeout+number: One.
Once when I was 19 a girl chatted me up, 2 minutes later asked for a drink, I got her one, she picked up the drink and left. That redpilled me pretty quick.

But yes indeed girls are cheap and they do go to cheap bars and they do drink cheap beer but they sure as shit aren't going to fuck the drunk dweeb who suddenly got all "flirty" 6 beers in -- and that's where you come in. That is exactly why it works.
I like the sentiment of "two cheap beers on tap" but not the execution. Girls don't drink beer. Guys shouldn't either, it's loaded with estrogens from the hops, and tons of carbs (save for Light beer).
Most girls just drink vodka + mixer anyway. They rarely have a choice of label because they mix it so you can't taste the liquor. I'll order a call and get her the well vodka, no matter how nasty it is. They don't care.
Rocha is right - the point is to get her loosened up. Most girls are broke. A lot of them don't spend a dime when they're at the bar. Toss em a drink when things are going well and it'll pay off.
