IF you really want to waste your money (as i definitely want to but hey I'm an idiot) here are the power symbols


1. A bespoke suit. With the millennials killing suits in the workplace a well made, perfectly tailored, quality suit WILL catch eyes and feel great.
2. A Niche fragrance. Get something that smells nice and matches your personality. Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille or Perfume De Marley Hermes are my go-tos
3. A Nice Watch. You can get something cheap or minimalistic, OR expensive and complex. However, make it yours and pass it down generations
4. A Nice House. Doesn't have to be big, but make it YOURS. Make your house your oasis to the world.
5. A Nice Car. I say Porsche 911 turbo s is the best car made. However, even a 1K piece of shit can be made to look good.

Before I finish the list, basically just focus on quality. People notice high quality. Plus high-quality stuff last. Don't worry about name brands just buy something that looks, feels expensive. Do a little research before you buy and craft your appearance around your personality

6. A great long lasting pair of shade that perfectly fit your face.
7. The whitest teeth money can buy. If you can only afford toothpaste then that's fine
8. 4 pairs of Nice high-quality shoes
9. A really High-Quality leather jacket
10 Charisma. I know it sounds stupid, but the vast majority of people (including myself) doesn't have charisma NOR a sense of humor (typically just sarcastic asshole humor)


Those things are things the vast majority of people will respect and admire you over. Plus they're timeless and something that'll make you feel cool and special without begging for attention

Now in my generation (im 24) here are thing that catch attention

1. A grill. Gold is best but diamonds is perfect
2. A watch with diamonds
3. Any name brand outfit (the whole outfit is that brand)
4. Polo or CK underwear
5. Over the top shoes, (I personally like the red bottoms for men and the Prada shoes with the roses on the)
6. A Chain (a gold rope chain is timeless as long as it isn't too big, however, diamonds will catch more attention)
7. A concealed Gun.
8. A money clip full of money
9. A body full of tattoos
10.Very expensive weed


Get cultured, learn a couple languages if you can. Practice your etiquette, Learn how to taste cigars, foods, wines, and liquors. Learn how to Pair those things also (trust me it makes the experience twice as great). Develop a strong sense of self. Figure out what makes music great and get a good ear.

If you're young go out and explore the world, learn things, create interesting experiences.

But grills? Haha, that would never give any sort of status in Europe and I'd guess it won't give much status by normal people in the US aswell unless you're still in the hood.

A few other thoughts I had...

It seems like the richest people that care about showing off, like Floyd Mayweather, prefers the Koenigsegg sports car, they seem to be on a different level.

Apple products seem to have higher status. If you pull out the latest iPhone when you grab that hoe's number at the club you'll be perceived as having more status than if you actually pull out an equally good Android phone.

I also don't know about tattoos. I think it's a question about what class you come from.
At least where I am at, tattoos are looked at as being kind of trashy and pathetic but when I used to be among working class people all the time a few years ago, the tattoos were looked at as being cool and edgy.

When I look at my generation, it seems like it's a HUGE thing to have multiple Instagram followers and get likes. Having +30 000 followers today seems like it's pretty much equivalent to what it was like having a Ferrari 15 years ago.

Apparently it's status to have a lip plate like this in some places in Africa. Just made me think that it's pretty astounding how we humans are still so primitive when it comes to about obsessing with status.


Beats by Dre is another status symbol I forgot about, but probably much more so a few years ago when every footballer was seen having one.

Maybe because I'm in the south, but every girl of pretty much every race down here enjoys grills. It gives off that "bad boy" image.

Koenigsegg is a 4 million dollar car lol I wouldn't even tell ANYBODY to buy one (although if I had the money I would by 3 lol) I would much rather have a 200k-400k supercar (Porsche 911 turbo s, Ferrari 488, Audi R8) than a 1M-8M hypercar.....With that being said I would personally love a Lafarrari or a Pagani Hyudra, The McLaren P1 is also growing on me

Here tattoos are conversation pieces and just attractive. Hell even I enjoy smaller tattoos on women (such as Rihanna's tattoo, or the paragraph on their side or upper back) All my friends have tattoos and some of which only get girls because of it

I think the style status symbols that have been posted are for women. CK underwear is not a status symbol. It's not an aspirational brand. Just about anyone could go out and own CK underwear by the end of the day, meaning it's common.

Let's think about it, any tool can buy a belt, a tie, a watch, ect. All you need is a credit card.

However, it takes far more money to have nice hair, beautiful white teeth, nice skin, a muscular body, ect. These things signify you can buy good food, have access to health care, you have time to go to the gym, ect. If you have this area squared away you can look good in quite a lot of clothing, even if it doesn't cost much. But if you have a pot belly and yellow teeth, everything else looks like shit too.

But I agree you are the Status symbol. As ANYBODY on here can tell you if you focus on charisma, sales, body language etc, You can definitely command a room!

People who groom themselves properly have a certain glow about them. People who take care of their teeth have a perfect smile. People who get form-fitting clothes look more attractive. All of that adds up.

Agree with everything here except the watch. The people that notice it will be the people that matter. And yes, they will almost all be men. Status matters to attract certain women but it's also important to attract contacts. A subtle sign of success can help open doors. Status is nothing more than a form of influence, so I'd also consider who it is you want to influence.

I follow on this, the only status men have to pursue is not "How to dress" but "How to behave" first, "How to display status" second once those subjects mastered you'll have no problem complementing with good clothing.

1) no women will look at your boxers brief and get wet because of the brand printed on it, branded & delicate underwear is a woman thing.
2) nobody will ever compliment you on your beats by dre headset because that's what sheeples are buying days & nights (apple associated), better get some Bose headset (even if they got the bar down to accommodate peons) or if you're really into sound system buy a Bang & Olufsen sound system for your house
3) The Rolex is a great watch but only Men and gold diggers will notice it and to display real status you'll have to get >25 000$ ones.

Clothing has nothing to do with status, you can be well dressed because luck got you enough money to buy expensive clothes but not enough experiences and reparti to fit into the world of high status males but nobody will look down on you for displaying how well you know and appreciate good cigars, wine or whisky and jazz bands.
