Now that being gay and "out" among skaters is cool, the lispthing thing among male commentators is outta control. (It was OK before, when they were possibly closeted and I didn't have to think about their gay-ti-tude incessantly.)

They should tell the IOC to fuck off.

If that phaggot Rippon wanted to wear the LGBTBBQ rainbow flag on his tutu, they probably wouldn't have a problem with it. Lady Liberty! Oh noez, can't have that. IOC is made up of a bunch of bureaucratic busybodies.

They pulled the same shit with the Korean Mens goalie. Time to dust off my old Admiral Yi costume.

Anyone see the article about the 100,000+ condoms they're distributing in the Olympic village? Apparently every olympics is a huge fuckfest.

I think it would be great if the olympics brought back the amateurism requirement and simultaneously got rid of all the annoying commercial advertising that destroys the true spirit of the games. Make the Olympics great again!

I went to the Olympics in Vancouver back in 2010. It's not just the athletes that go wild. I had a very good time there.

I have heard the summer games are 4 to 5 times more partying... probably due to all the people from the tropics attending.

I'd also rather see NHL players at the Olympics. The World Cup of Hockey was gay as fuck in 2016, and didn't have the same atmosphere. Hopefully they'll make improvements.

Yeah it's a total disgrace, those greedy NHL brass bastards couldn't tack an extra couple of week before and after the season to accommodate for the top players participating in the olympics every 4 years.

I usually enjoy the Olympics quite a bit. Since Rio I have gotten rid of my TV and now I'm a bit sorry I can't watch them...Tempting me to buy a TV.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

I disagree. Olympics would be quite boring this way. People want to watch best in the world compete, and only professionals can provide that.

The media is trying to make out Chloe Kim to be a beauty queen, she's a dog.

Most female athletes aren't that feminine looking. Think about it. Higher T-levels = more manly looks and strength/stamina. I don't think Kim is a "dog". The most homely looking female athletes in my experience tend to be soccer players and basketball chicks. Bulky, broad shoulders, manly faces, thick bodies. In fact, one survey showed that the bulk of women watching the WNBA are actually dykes.

Speak for yourself. The games were fine pre professional involvement. As for competition, 80 was compelling without the Americans and 84 was stellar without the Soviets. Prior to that Brundage kept the focus squarely on amateur sport. Seoul 88 was the last pure Olympic games.

Apparently using the word "Ladies" instead of "Women's" is now sexist.

Fake news said this “The use of ladies suggests a physical frailty and need for protection,” she said. “So, yes — I think it does matter.”
