For The Next 24 Hours Only: Free 124-Page Report -- Best Places To Live In The World

For the next 24 hours, as a Christmas Special "Live and Invest Overseas" is releasing its 124-page PDF report for free: "The World's Best Places To Live."

I have not had the time to read it yet, but they usually release a quality product. I have no affiliation with them. Merry Christmas to all!

For The Next 24 Hours Only: Free 124-Page Report -- Best Places To Live In The World

The publisher has just extended access to this free report for another 24 hours. It discusses a variety of low-cost countries in which to live, discusses the pros and cons of living in each country, visa and immigration procedures, and other assorted evolving matters. For example, for Colombia it discusses how AirBNB is now newly regulated in that nation:

Quote:Quote:

Airbnb in Colombia is now required by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism (MinComercio) to register with the National Tourism Register. On Aug. 7 of this year, Colombian Minister of Commerce María Lacouture announced, “Those who have properties on the platform have 100 days to formalize their situation. The registry will allow us to standardize processes with businessmen and create formal tourism guidelines and clear rules.” It will also keep their tax department better informed.

Under Colombian law, Airbnb hosts will be treated in the same way as hotels. They will be expected to clearly state prices, taxes, tariffs, and additional charges (as do hotels). In the face of unfair competition, Gustavo Toro (CEO of the Hotel and Tourism Colombia Administration) happily responds, “This is excellent news for hotel managers because it shows government support for our industry after previous failings to regulate digital platforms. Those platforms announce hosting services in the country without complying with national regulations.”

This is part of a Christmas marketing campaign, where L&IO hopes that you will subscribe to some of their newsletters after reading some of their reports for free.

Since it's free would be nice if you could share the file so we don't waste time signing up (and be bombarded with spam later). Not to mention not having access in a few days.

Usually I go to numbeo.com and search for Mercer Cost of Living Report.

I do not steal other people's intellectual property. They are offering it free for a limited time as a sales promotion, so grab it while you can. The report has very little to do with cost of living. It discusses the pros and cons of various low cost countries, provides the highlights of living there, and discloses recent developments in law and immigration.

There is no spam involved. You simply click on a button to download it. It is in a PDF format, so that you can save it and then read it at your leisure. Besides, you should have a free secondary email address devoted to receiving such offers -- and such potential spam. I have had one for more than a decade. You are operating in the dark ages, my friend.

Sometimes people need to hear hard truths. You have a losers mindset. I say this as constructive criticism, not as an insult (I've been there myself). You want other people's property for free. Then when it is offered for free, you lack the initiative to simply click on a web link and then click a button to determine whether your email address is even required, before asking someone else to do your own work for you. You lack a secondary email address to receive free information for which other people ordinarily pay -- and are therefore worried more about spam more than improving your own life. It should not be necessary for people like me to spoon feed you, when such opportunities present themselves.

I say this out of love, man. I have two brothers with such mindsets. They have lived hard lives -- and their lives get harder every day. It was all fun and games when they were young, until cold hard reality hit them in the face. I have failed so many times in my life that a huge book could be filled with my tales of woe, yet I rarely repeat the same mistake twice. Instead, I accept the pain that naturally follows the path to accomplishment and make it my friend. Do not live in your fears. Learn to take initiative when opportunity presents itself and grab life by the balls. Good luck.

Let me second Tail Gunner here: This is not Reddit. This is a place for people willing to work for what they want in life. Remember when we only let you register on the first of the month? We did that because we only want people willing to work to get what they want on this forum; this is not a place where we expect something for nothing and whine when the world does not bend to our needs.

I read through the PDF; it's not for me because I have already done the "travel to a Latin American country, learn the language and culture, enjoy the local pussy" routine and know enough about Latin America to comfortably retire there should I choose to do that. But it's a very useful guide for someone who has lived in the USA their entire life who is looking to retire in another country.

There's nothing about getting foreign pussy in the guide; that's why we have the RooshV travel section that you are reading right now.

Yes, it is a 124-page report, so it takes awhile to read. I am only halfway through it myself. The first half of the report (which I just finished) pertains to countries in Latin America, but the third quarter of the report pertains to countries in Europe (unfortunately, Western Europe rather than Eastern Europe) and the fourth quarter pertains to countries in Asia (including Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam).

I will just point out that people should read the report but take it with a grain of salt. I have read other material by the same company in the past and sometimes when they described cities I had actually been to they made it sound like a completely different place to what I had seen with my own eyes. Talk about rose tinted glasses! That being said there is some useful information buried among the hype but its up to the reader to determine what is hype/marketing and what is real useful/useable info. Just remember its in the interests of the publishers of such newsletters to talk places up especially since they tend to sell conferences, investment "opportunities" (i.e. collect commission from property developers, lawyers, etc). Expat blogs about living in a country tend to give a more unbiased/untainted opinions and hence such newsletters should be cross referenced with expat blogs, rooshv, and other sources.

I am still reading through the report. One of the more interesting tidbits from the report involves the first low-cost Asian carrier to secure approval to operate passenger flights between Asia and the United States:

Quote:Quote:

New Low-Cost Flight Routes From Asia To United States

Long-haul airline AirAsia X has received clearance from the FAA to develop routes to destination in the United States — great news for those living in or looking to move to Asia, but who fear the high costs of trips back home. The FAA has allowed for the operation of five Airbuses to land Stateside through the carrier.

“This is a major milestone for AirAsia X,” said CEO Datuk Kamarudin Meranun. “The airline is the first Asian low-cost carrier to secure approval to operate scheduled passenger flights to the US,” AirAsia X proclaimed.

The carrier plans to begin their expansion with routes from their base in Japan to Hawaii, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. An ultra-long-haul route from Malaysia to the United States is also in consideration.

Just click on the web link in the original post and then look for the red envelope that contains the following language:

"Download Your Free Report Now! Click Here"

Then look in your downloads area for the PDF file.

For The Next 24 Hours Only: Free 124-Page Report -- Best Places To Live In The World

After a week, I am just now finishing reading this report. It took some time to read. This is an amusing story from the Singapore section:

Quote:Quote:

When In Singapore: Head To The Vending Machine For A Fancy New Car

One of the world’s largest vending machines now lives in Singapore, and what it carries may rev your engine. The machine is being dubbed the “world’s largest luxury car vending machine.” If you’re thinking Lamborghinis, Bentleys, and Ferraris, you’re right. Autobahn Motors opened the 15-story showroom in December of last year. Customers can choose a car to view from the touchscreen on the ground. Vehicles are on display across 60 slots, from which they arrive in approximately two minutes via a process of being vended.

During this retrieval time, the cars are not dropped to the ground in normal vending machine fashion, as would be a bag of chips or a candy bar. Instead, the advanced method is called a “fish-bone type lift system,” with which the cars are safely transported to the ground for potential buyers to take a look up close and personal. The vending machine is currently stocked with everything from classic cars to modern, luxury sports cars. Be forewarned, prices aren’t exactly relative to that which you normally stick into a traditional vending machine, however. You might need more than a few spare coins to get the item you desire this time.

Another great contribution from Tail Gunner, despite what the entitled members or detractors might say.

Even if there is some info that isn't precisely correct, this is a solid guide with good presentation.

I went to give a rep point then realized I already gave one years ago.
