Hefner had four adult kids. I'm sure as a retired man of considerable means at 80 he spent lots of quality time with them. And then went back to banging hoes.

Hefner did life right. He tried the traditional henpecked American 9-5 in an office, married in the suburbs, lifestyle. But decided it wasn't for him, and instead devoted his life to setting up and running his own hugely successful business, while having lots of fun on the side. Its hard to find a better example of someone who chose his own independent life priorities and succeeded tremendously at them.

91 is a good old age though, I think most people would be satisfied with that.

Define "legacy". Hefner is survived by four adult children, three sons and 1 daughter. Pretty sure he had millions in the bank and a magazine that still in publication. He was banging young tail until the end.

To me it sounds like he winning in every category of his life.

Maybe not, but I imagine the point about the hedonic treadmill is valid. When you're 40 having a couple of 9s compete to lick your ass every night is a thrill. But after 5 decades of it, how exciting can it really be?

He also created the Hugh Hefner 1st Amendment Award for people who were courageous in standing up for free speech, was brave enough to give black comedians equal platforms at a time when most things were still segregated, and was by all accounts a man of great intellectual integrity. From what I can tell he was a champion of the individual.

For a forum dedicated to travelling the world and banging snatch from all four corners, is it not the height of mental masturbation to condemn, before the first wreath has even laid by the Playboy Mansion, that player of players, who created the empire of yestercentury that embodies the carnal desires of every warm-blooded straight man.

Let's face it, none of us will ever swim in the depths of pussy that he did, maybe that's what drives the moral crusadership of some of the posters here who are decrying the societal amorality that Playboy stood for. Who knows, before too long, someone will point out that Hefner was of (((them)))! [Image: tard.gif]

At the end of time, Hef, may the creators admit you into that eternal poosy paradise of the great beyond.

Can't say I sympathize with the fascination.

Sure he may have been the quintessential playboy in his youth. Yet are y'all sure the marketing & PR of his old age was a real reflection of his situation?

On a side note, how about this gem [Image: rolleyes.gif] :

While Bridget may not be as close to Hef as her former costar Kendra Wilkinson is, she stayed pretty neutral after fellow Hefner ex Holly Madison dropped an explosive memoir about her time in the mansion. Nonetheless, it seems Hugh has forgotten all about Miz Marquardt as she continued:

"He told me there was always an open door, but I heard that that's not quite true lately. I called and tried to go to the mansion earlier this year…but I'm just getting the run around."

Awkward! Perhaps the industry vet's 2012 marriage to Crystal Hefner has something to do with this tension? Who knows.
Still the 43-year-old's falling out with Hefner is nothing compared to her recent fertility struggles. During Monday's interview, the reality TV star opened up about how her multiple fertility treatments have failed. Apparently, Bridget and her man tried to get pregnant naturally and via IVF before thawing the eggs she had frozen years prior.

Sadly, Marquardt's frozen eggs didn't last as she admitted:

"None of my eggs survived. It was devastating for me. All this time I thought I had an amazing insurance policy, but it didn't work out."

What a heartbreaking situation. Although, the TV personality hasn't lost hope as she concluded:

"I thought I was doing the smart thing and the right thing, and I do still think it was. It just didn't work out for me."

Aurini attacked the glorification of the Playboy lifestyle, not Hefner himself. As Moldbug once wrote, "PUA" rhymes with "gay".

It is one thing to have a great wife, many great children and an army of younger mistresses on the side. However, the glorified Playboy lifestyle is eternal bachelorhood, which is not only utterly barren, but it also does not age well.

In the over 50 years he was in business, did Hefner ever actually help other men like Roosh, Heartiste (Roissy) and the other giant teachers of game have in the last decade ?

I dont remember ever reading or seeing anything related to playboy magazine that ever taught me anything useful....certainly not in terms of gaming women, teaching about true female nature and behaviour, being more confident or improving myself. If anything, the advent of mass produced legal paper pornography made a whole 2 to 3 generations of men into masturbation addicts who found themselves unable to do any real life approaches.

You may admire his alpha lifestyle, but he was in it for the cash, using & manipulating men's base desires for pure greed & profit.
He didnt give a fuck about impoving the lives of males everywhere. In fact, the decline in masculinity and men's status in the world in the past 50 years is also thanks to this loser pornographer.
He gave nothing useful to his fellow man except feelings of envy and low self worth when compared to him.

For me he was like a pimp selling you the worst hoe possible.

I think most of you aren't seeing that Hefner and Gloria Steinem are two sides of the same coin. Other than maybe Kinsey, very few people were as instrumental in destroying the foundation of traditional western society: the family. Actually it is no surprise that Steinem and Hefner are closely connected, she's worked for him, and both have links to the deep state.

Steinem was brainwashing women, telling them that the family was an inherently oppressive patriarchal scheme, that men were scum, and that they would only be truly fulfilled as careerist single women.

She's basically telling them to live like lesbians.

Hefner was telling young men that they should be playboys, men fullfilled by the hedonistic pursuit of notches, as opposed to "tied down" by marriage, and the outdated role of household heads and fathers dedicated to taking care of their wife and raising children.

He's basically telling them to live like homosexuals.

Do you see the parallels here??

Yea I'm sure he was jealous of married people. Not everyone is wired for monogamy.

The "wiring" of people is in large part determined by cultural drivers. Far fewer men and women are wired for monogamy today, and there is no doubt that modern social engineering is the reason for this radical and destructive cultural shift.

One of Henry Makow's best columns ever was on the subject of Hefner and his nefarious influence on society, everyone should read the full post linked below:

"What kind of man is [the Playboy man]?

He is fastidious about his appearance, his home and his possessions. He wants as much sex as possible and chooses sexual partners mostly on the basis of appearance. He is self-absorbed and doesn't want emotional involvement or commitment. He thinks a woman would stifle him and children would be a burden.

Does this sound like many gays? It is also the masculine ideal purveyed by Playboy magazine to men since the 1950's.

The essence of manhood is to lead and support a family. But in 1972, 3 out of 4 male college students got their ideas about masculinity from Playboy, at an incalculable price to themselves, women, children and society.

The similarity between the Playboy and homosexual ideal is no coincidence. "The Kinsey Report" (1948) shaped current mainstream attitudes to sex. It championed unfettered sexual expression and became the manifesto of the counterculture. It inspired Hugh Hefner to start Playboy in 1953.

Essentially "The Kinsey Report" said that aberrant sexual behavior was so common as to be normal. Thanks to psychologist Dr. Judith Reisman, we now know that Alfred Kinsey was a homosexual and the "Kinsley Report" was a fraud.

...

Hugh Hefner said the Kinsey Report "produced a tremendous sexual awakening, largely because of media attention..." This shows how the elite orchestrates social change using media hype. (See Reisman, Kinsey, p.307)

With messianic fervor, Playboy took its gospel of sexual freedom to the American male who in the 1950's-1960's still consecrated sex for marriage. Playboy's aim, the aim of all pornographers, was to hook men on the glossy fantasy. To do this, they had to prevent them from finding true satisfaction in marriage.

In Reisman's words, "Playboy was the first national magazine to exploit college men's fears of women and family commitment. Playboy offered itself as a reliable, comforting substitute for monogamous heterosexual love." (Judith Reisman, "Soft Porn Plays Hardball," p 47)

Thus sworn enemies, Playboy and radical feminists, found common ground in hatred of the nuclear family. As a result, society now suffers from epidemics of family breakdown, pornography, impotence, child sexual abuse, sadosexual violence, teen pregnancy, a cocktail of STD's and, of course, AIDS. The birthrate has plummeted by 50% since 1960 and is barely at replacement level.

...

Gay and feminist activists think traditional morality was invented to perpetuate an unjust status quo. In fact, morality is the accumulated wisdom of mankind regarding what is healthy and ultimately fulfilling. Perversion is deviation from what is healthy.

Heterosexual morality places sex in the context of love and/or marriage because it is healthy and human. It ensures that the most profound and intimate physical act between two people expresses a commensurate emotional-spiritual bond. Promiscuous sex is a desperate plea for love. Love and marriage answer that call and provide for the natural and necessary outcome of sex, children.

With Hugh Hefner's help, Alfred Kinsey detached sex from love and procreation. He reduced it to another physical function like urinating. Homosexual activists champion anonymous sex: a majority of gays have 10s-100s of partners each year. In less extreme form, heterosexuals have adopted this model. Recently a social columnist enviously described straight friends whose relationships have ended: "they're out partying, having the time and the sex, it seems of their lives."

In conclusion, the "sexual revolution" was really a triumph of an elite program of arrested development. See also "The CIA, Homosexuality and Underdevelopment." The elite agenda is to redefine healthy as deviant and vice-versa and they have succeeded. In 40 short years, almost all sexual constraints have dissolved and heterosexual society is reeling. The cultural and social breakdown will only get worse unless there is a counterrevolution."

It's worth pointing out that Hugh Hefner was so bored with women by the time the 1960's came around that he started experimenting with gay sex:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/5020806.stm

According to reports from some of the bimbos who lived in the Playboy Mansion near the end of his life, Hefner also had to watch gay porn tapes during his orgies in order to keep his Viagra-induced boner up.

Don't get me wrong: he was an interesting guy and Playboy was several grades above the smut of today (even if you could argue that it started us on the decline to furries, demisexuality, and the 31 flavors of gender), but don't ignore the dark side of the guy's life.

A important detail in his life is that his fiancee, the woman he most likely lost his virginity to, cheated on him while he was serving in the military during World War II. He admitted that her confession before their wedding psychologically broke him, and she let him sleep with other women when they were married in part to atone for what she did. Even after they divorced, she kept working for Playboy.

He conceived of Playboy (and the whole philosophy of life behind it) in response to the love of his life betraying him, he lived the dream (he admitted that banged nearly every Playboy centerfold for the first 20-odd years of the magazine's existence)... and then he devolved into a brain-dead hedonist seeking increasingly depraved ways of getting off, including with other men. He's a Hellraiser protagonist come to life and the embodiment of the Cherokee curse "May you have everything you desire!"

Something tells me that even after all the fun he had, the first love of his life was still at the back of his mind.

Also worth reading is this article from AntiDem on why Playboy and the playboy lifestyle gradually lost popularity and died:

https://antidem.wordpress.com/2015/11/27...fter-dark/

It's not just because Playboy was too tame for a world increasingly accustomed to hardcore porn. It's because Playboy was aspirational. In order to be a playboy, you had to make money, dress well, take care of yourself, and cultivate your mind by reading books... in other words, you had to improve. It wasn't a status you could claim for yourself unless you had earned it. Playboy's content reflected this in articles on style, making money, literature and fiction (they published stories by Ray Bradbury, Haruki Murakami and other novelists).

Nobody wants to aspire to anything anymore, aside from finding more exotic ways to explore each others' buttholes. And that's why Playboy is dead.
