Not sure whether you should be that depressed. There are hot women (some have attitudes) but it sounds like you've got a story to tell and some experience so you have chance to break down their bitch shields (or better yet break into a social circle or two).

Brixton is pretty ghetto albeit that there is a growing hipster crowd and the market has been revamped over the past few years with indepedent cafes and restaurants (so the scene is changing somewhat from a predominantly black community to a more multi cultural one).

Not sure I'd necessarily agree that E&C is where you'll find latinas. You're probably better off checking out some of the popular Salsa venues (around London) assuming you can dance or are prepared to give it a go.

Not yet, I have booked an airbnb room for few days in a flat which is 25 min walk from work. Apparently it is few minuts walk from Crossharbour DLR station, I have no clue how the neighborhood is, I just hope the room will be comfy and quite as I need to start my job in good conditions.

I've been checking some apartments on websites like Zoopla but I need to put my feet on the ground to figure out if I would like to live in Canary wharf...living on a walking distance from work is very appealing but if the hood is a desert at night and weekends it will be boring.

In terms of nightlife CW is quiet busy on Fridays after work until 11-12 or 6-9 on weekdays. I'm talking about the bars / clubs in CW.

Docklands generally have big and new houses, which means bigger rooms and more space, but don't expect too much in terms of vibrant nightlife, it's a quiet, graphic and romantic place by the river, if you wanna take your date for a walk.
The best thing about Crossharbour is the big Asda where you can get cheap and quality food 30% or even cheaper than the other supermarkets.

With regard to your questions CW or somewhere else, you can do the following experiment; take the tube to get to work in CW on a weekday 7:30-9:00 or 17:00-19:00 from North, South or West London. It will be super easy to decide where to live.

One thing I realised long back in London is that rent starts to bunch up at 500pw for many places which means £24k a year or £12k if sharing.

My realisation was this is a shitload of money on a £25-45k salary but... everything is relative. If you can get £100k in net worth and keep it growing then it's only really 10-15% of your cash per year vs 50-60% for many.

The key is to stop relying on a "London salary" as they don't pay enough to adequately cover rents. Your salary gets taxed a fortune too so you've lost 20-40% to the govt before you've even stretched out your hand for the wallet.

Stocks and Shares ISA is a bit of a loophole or solution to the problem described above. Cap on contributions is £15-20k per year (depending on tax year) and zero capital gains on profits. I know people who have put £5-10k in companies like CTAG, MTR or 88E this year and they are already near the £100k ideal. I know plenty who have more than £100k. For me once you know how to trade in perhaps the greatest finance centre of the world, the govt leaves you alone for the most part and cost of living is no longer a big deal. Contacts you can make in this city are unreal. Some very rich people who can teach you real skills.

Don't think salary only when living in London. That's a recipe for living poor unless you in finance or top 5%.

Guys, please advise on good bars/pubs located at or near Earl's Court station in London where I could take a girl for a date. The place MUST have some kind of sofas, and reasonable prices for alcohol, where you can sit down and do some kino escalation.
(I specifically wish to avoid places where you just have a stupid coffee facing each other on opposite sides of a table).
Ideally, it needs to be open from afternoons even on weekdays.

I agree being not that easy in London, but at least if you approach a girl you aren't regarded as a sexual tourist, unlike many European cities nowadays. As always I would distinguish between summer time, and winter time. In June-July-August there are tons of foreigner girls on holidays or for studying English. Remember crazy times during these three months. Pulled Russians, Spanish, French, etc.
Later, it gets harder, but not worse than other big cities. Paris, Milan are harder in my opinion. And during summer London is definitely better than many places in Eastern Europe.

haven't been in Milano yet. i did pull a italian girl from milano in Japan once. i have heard italian girls are "impossible" in italy.the girl i met was a a solid 7 she was open and friendly and very sexually liberal. so i don't understand . maybe they open up once they are abroad?

London is not easy because it's an alpha city. Hard to clean up unless you stand out with an edge. Many of the best events are exclusive to some degree. Logistics key. Also a seasonal city - summer is insane vs winter.

Agreed, its a massively competitive city. If you are living close to the centre, then 70% of the "game" is already done for you.

I noticed that developing in a place like London, makes it so much easier in other countries. You are simply the next level by default of making ends meet in a challenging city. This applies to everything really, work, women, finances etc.

I went out on Sunday night, the place was pretty dead. Not many girls around, apart from a group of hipster chicks that pretty much called it a night, when an autistic bag packer made an approach on them.

London is good, copenhagen is great.

Though I will say that I didnt always find london good, but I realised the problem was me, and sorted it.

The things I sorted were a) I got a centrally located apartment, a maximum 5-10 minutes walk from bars and clubs, & b) became a regular at a bunch of bars, ended up becoming friends with the staff , to the point people assume I actually own the places, and I'm getting invited to a bunch of other cool places that are very hard to get into

My london experience went from not so good, to very good in the space of about 10 weeks. You've already outlined the problems with london, it doesnt take much effort to fix.

Could you break down what you look like, & what kind of venues/area in london you go to? This might help fix your issues with london

edit: I run the same gameplan in Copenhagen, but its overkill, as a lot less effort is needed over there.

who the hell can afford to live in london centrally? most of us average dudes have a salary around 2000-4000 dollars a month. if london is exclusive for the rich then there are better value places somewhere else.
