I would have to admit it is a little entertaining reading through this thread. I could not get the reason why the OP just said "Thank You" and moved on like most people do on here. Likewise the contradictory tone used throughout the post from the OP threw me off, among other things about his postings. Until I read this:

I'll list a few observations from this thread and the previous thread. I’m not taking sides for or against Travel Museums. I understand the different perspectives especially after reading the previous thread. The purpose is to help us all learn and improve.


Somebody will learn something whenever we discuss real life situations.
It might be the OP or it might be others if the OP ignores all the advice but somebody is going to learn something. There is always knowledge being transferred which is a very good thing. There were several excellent posts in the first thread even if the guys who made those posts were annoyed with TM. I learned a lot. Two examples of guys learning things in this thread are here and here.

I’ll take these threads every time over the threads that serve no purpose other than complaining about western women.


There are situations that make men act irrational with women and cause oneitis.
Three examples:
1) The girl is more attractive than a guy is used to. Something about a girl being hotter than the rest makes guys lose their minds. It’s happened to me and I’ve seen it happen to several other guys.
2) The girl has another guy. Somewhere in our psychology we think of women as our property. It is much harder to walk away from a girl when we know she has another guy waiting for her.
3) Long term travel can be isolating and make a guy depend too much on relationships with women. This is especially difficult for extroverts and guys who seek pair bonding.


Be careful with who you criticize.
A couple years ago I had read a lot about game and thought that I knew what I was doing. It wasn’t until I met some forum guys and took massive action that I started to learn and improve. There are pros and cons to everything. Improving creates positive situations like banging hotter girls. Improving also creates negative situations like getting oneitis for some of those hotter girls (see #1 in the section above). The harsh truth is that there are a lot guys out there who haven't taken much action yet. Many of them will be in a similar situation to Travel Museums in the future and his situation won’t be so funny when they are learning the hard way.

Say what you want about TM but everybody makes mistakes and he gave us an opportunity to learn something. If you weren’t reading this thread you would probably be reading about the latest aspect of feminism to complain about. That isn’t helping anyone.


Many of us can improve our communication on the forum.
One of the reasons these threads didn’t go in the direction I was hoping for is because TM’s writing was difficult to follow. It was more of a stream of consciousness than well thought out writing. This amplified the disagreement between TM and the other posters especially in the first thread. My writing is a weakness also but I try to use proper grammar/spelling/punctuation and I edit my writing before posting.

Also, some guys aren’t reading everything and repeating exaggerations made by other posters. I try to avoid posting anything too controversial unless I know of specific examples I can use to defend what I’ve said.


A lot of guys secretly love drama.
Sorry TM but you are high drama. The first thread and all your social media activity are overwhelming proof. I agree with the guys who suggested that it is time for some introspection.

There are a lot of other guys in the manosphere and in this thread that are high drama as well. Anger is an emotion that many of us haven’t learned to control as well as we should. I understand that people are annoyed because these threads went on and on but there is no reason to be angry with TM.


Foreign girls have their fair share of problems.
TM wrote some of the best descriptions I’ve read about attractive girls in some SEA cultures. I won’t criticize those girls because I have no idea what it’s like to grow up poor in those cultures. You can’t really comprehend how prevalent p4p and sponsorship is in some of those cultures without living there. There are always trade-offs when trading the problems of western women for the problems of foreign women. They all have problems and men must go beyond women to find happiness and fulfillment in their lives.


Long term pair bonding and long term traveling probably won’t mix unless you have the cash to pay for the girl to travel with you.
You can’t always have your cake and eat it too. I appreciate TM’s stubbornness and lack of self-awareness. Those personality attributes usually correlate with determination, competitiveness, and highly successful people. However, there is a difference between making good grades while studying abroad and making a lot of money early in life versus trying to jam a square peg through a round hole. The square peg and round hole being a long distance open relationship with a girl who pays to travel with you even though other guys want to sponsor her entire life. The grades and money were difficult but the relationship is irrational.

I’m not saying it is impossible to keep a relationship going but you have to be realistic and understand that the girl might move on. Sometimes it will work. Sometimes it won't. When you get on that plane without specific plans to return in a short time period, you’ve got to accept that things might never be the same. You can’t expect an attractive girl to always wait for you when you only spend a few months per year with her. If she is good enough for pair bonding then she will have many guys pursuing her when you aren't around. All relationships are temporary and these transient relationships tend to be very temporary.

I’ve had the experience of leaving countries, staying in contact with girls, and returning. There are two big lessons I've learned. The first is that girls change. The sweet innocent girl who wants a relationship might turn into a slutty girl who just wants sex or vice versa. Second, you can't have expectations for when you return unless you have specific plans to return in a short time period. Life goes on for these girls and they aren't always going to wait for you.

Depends on the airline? Don't know where you got your info on that. I'm guessing you've never done it but you're somehow an authority on how it works for all airlines (each one is different).

It comes down to how full a flight is. Sometimes you get up front. Sometimes you have to wait a few days just got get economy. I've been traveled first class several times. I've had economy middle rows several times. It depends on how full flights are. Sometimes you don't get on at all andyiugo home to try again. You're supposed to be discreet about it. People tend to lose their minds over hearing about this perk. You can do a quick Google on it. Fisto mentioned doing this in his thread. I see he stopped posting too.

Some people here seem to have real trouble reading between the lines. As well as reading what is actually written.

Yes it is true that if you do fly standby there's a chance of being upgraded to first class. The only time this has happened to me is on empty flights.

Not that rare if you are flexible on when and where you go (like several days to a weeks time flexible). Other things you can do to increase your chances like get listed on multiple airlines (lots of staff trade benefits with each other). There's an entire airline industry black market going on.

Your never ever put in first because you have a 20+ elite upgrade list ahead of you. Not to mention there is no flexible dates to choose from. You literally show up to the airport, see if they have any spare coach seats and get on.

Plenty of fas get stranded cause their flight is sold out. Knowing how airline capacity works, most flights are on the verge of getting overbooked.

What you probably found on Google is referring to a black market to buy and sell frequent flier miles that brokers use to buy tickets instead of playing full rev.

If your going to pretend on knowing how to do the ff game at least do be more then a courtesy search.

1) TM, you've got a target on your back now. The best thing you could do is stop posting for one or two weeks.

2) Avoid negativity, complaining, and being combative. You've got a target on your back so you will get questioned and criticized on anything negative, complaints, and especially combative.

3) Adjust your 1-10 scale. This forum essentially uses a 1-9 scale in which 9s are very rare. Most new guys I've met had to adjust their scale by 1 point. This is normal and I had to do it also. However, now you know that nobody will believe you've got 9s unless you have proof such as other forum members seeing these 9s in real life.

4) Contribute with a datasheet. You have some very interesting life experiences so your first post when you come back from a 1-2 week break should be a datasheet. I've given you suggestions for topics. I understand that your method for getting free flights might be bending the rules in some countries so you could post that in the Private Forum.
