The flight was tough with some re-routing due to weather conditions (hurricanes in the US). Overall around 38 hours including stopovers. I thought Australia had too many land whales until I got to the L.A. airport!! I've never seen so many morbidly obese disgusting women in my life!! Australian women actually look anorexic by comparison.

You won't see too many girls in Bogota wearing high heels and skirts as the dominant fashion is hipster, but most girls here do an acceptable version of hipster clothing and still have long straight hair, nice jeans and boots and usually a trendy jacket. Overall despite their clothing not maximising their natural beauty girls here still look amazing.

I don't know why guys are always complaining about Colombian girls being gold-diggers. Peruvian girls are massive gold diggers, Bogota girls are not!! (I will find out about the rest of Colombia eventually) All the girls I met here were very proud and always insisted on paying their share, and generally also refused taxi money. I had a number of girls spend a fair amount of time showing me around the city after a brief day game conversation (even while they were with friends). I even had one girl invite me to lunch with her friend and they insisted on paying (I let them but bought them

Colombians didn't know much about Australia except that some of them know other Colombians who are or were studying in Australia. Most if the time when girls asked where in from and I said Australia they seemed slightly impressed. I would say it's a mild DHV. As for language barrier it's a bit of a struggle but manageable. More people speak
English than Peru. If I had to guess based on my experience I would say maybe 5% of girls speak English quite well and another 15-25% speak some English.

Day game is great in Bogota and there are heaps of girls solo or in two sets to approach however night game sucks balls as everywhere becomes a sausage fest at night and most girls out at night are in mixed groups with guys.

I can see why there are so many Colombia threads. Colombian girls have great personalities in addition to being sexy as hell. Colombian girls are the bomb!

After Bogota I went to San Gil and now I am in Santa Marta. In San Gil the girls were decent but in Santa Marta it's a huge drop in quality.

Santa Marta has the occasional hot and slim tanned and dark girls (and white ones too) with big asses but there are too many fatties and butherfaces. Also women in Santa Marta dress like shit during the day, but somehow the street is flooded with sexy and well dressed women at night. Do all the sexy women in Santa Marta hide in their house during the day?

Andre Carne De Res in Bogota was a good restaurant and overall Colombian food has been surprisingly decent. Apart from the usual manageable poor country inconveniences, so far overall I am really enjoying Colombia.

Yeah, Santa Marta has the ugliest girls in Colombia. I don't think anyone disputes that. I'd estimate the quality is Peru-esque in that city.

However, one of my favorite chicks from Colombia was a Costena from Santa Marta living in Barranquilla for a bit. So you can find a few cute ones there from time to time. Still, the beach in the city isn't worth it, anyway. Taganga is not in the city.

Overall, Santa Marta is cool for a few days to a week. Not a place to base up whatsoever.

In San Gil and Bogota people are so friendly whereas in Santa Marta everyone is rude and always thinks you are going to rob them or scam them as soon as you say hi. In general most people in Bogota and San Gil were awesome and most people in Santa Marta are dickheads/bitches. The attitude of people in Santa Marta reminds me of the attitude people have in Peru.

What's funny is that I haven't been back to Medellin or any Colombian city since December 2010, but back then people kept saying stuff like "Medellin was fucked five years ago." I have a feeling that for some guys, all places died five years ago, or ten years ago, or thirty years ago.

The problem probably isn't the part or parts of Medellin where you are. The quality there is just not that good. Definitely not the worst, though. I'm not sure I've seen another topic where people's reports and opinions are as far off base and misleading as they are on the quality of women in Medellin or Colombia in general. Colombia is a very large country. It's the size of California and Texas combined. Go see something different. Get off the beaten trail. Sometimes I just get on a bus and go to some little town I've never heard of that has no reviews on tripadvisor. That means there's no gringo traffic there. You'll get a much broader experience of the country than just retracing the same steps as thousands of gringos before you.

You don't even have to go far from Medellin. There's all sorts of cool places within an hour or two that ain't the city.

Last night I went to Poblado in Medellin. It was a definite upgrade in quality. Lots of hot girls there. The average quality was high. But in my opinion it's misleading to say a city had hot girls just because of 3 or 4 barrios where rich people live.

Last night I nearly pulled two lesbians from Poblado back to my hostel to hookup with my girlfriend. We chatted and then they wanted alcohol so I bought them some from the bottle shop (they drank some) and then

As for getting drugged before (a few nights ago) I was walking in the street and a guy said hey you are a foreigner let me show you around the neighbourhood, so I said okay. When we were walking he offered me some wafer biscuits out of packtet which I ate (which turned out to have drag in it). Then he took me to a shady looking strip club and I knew something was up and I left. I was still feeling okay. I went to a restaurant (ended up at the wrong restaurant with a similar name) to meet my girlfriend, but she was a different restaurant. While I was in front of the of the restaurant I couldn't walk properly and told the cops the story and how I might have been drugged. My girlfriend then
Came and took me to a taxi by hospital. I was passed out by that stage. Nothing bad (no robbery or violence) etc happened to me when I was drugged (a combination of amphetamine theta and amphetamine TNT)

Personally I prefer Bogota for girls than
Medellin. There are more hot girls overall in Bogota and Bogota girls are way friendlier and love foreigners. Medellin girls are bitchy.

I'm glad you lived through your ordeal unscathed. A good rule of thumb in Medellin/Bogota is to stay away from people that approach you. If they come to you, then that's very possibly a setup. Maybe just for free shots of Guaro from a rich gringo, but maybe for your wallet and smartphone. If it were a small town unmarred by gringo traffic, then it's likely just their genuine interest in you. But in Medellin, they're not any longer enamored by foreigners.

Yes, good point. People were saying the same thing when I was in Medellin for the first time in 2012. This was the same sentiment when I first arrived in Rio in 2005 and how the glory days of the 1990s were gone. Consider the source of these reports. For some men this is true. For others who have the right combination of Game, looks and style, these cities are still fruitful.

Ya that Japanese guy got smoked on his first day in the city because he ran after the guys who jacked his laptop, this happened near Estadio. A few months ago I was having coffee at El Bujo on la 70 and 47 (nice spot) and there was a young Gringo there with his laptop on the table, smart phone out and expensive looking head phones, probably about $1500-2000 worth of gear. This was at an outside cafe where the tables were right on the sidewalk next to a metro station with hundreds of people walking by. I felt like telling him to put it away but if someone is that stunned to have a couple of grand worth of electronics out like that in a third world country then there's really no helping them, they have to learn the hard way.
