Upcoming Colombia Trip

Seeing Medellin on various episodes of international house hunters and other pieces in newspapers how it's a wonderful place to visit and live is all true. However, the caveat being is that it still is a dangerous place. More western folk will come with their gadgets and freely go to various cafes and be targets. These delinquents can stand around all day and once they see an opportunity, your stuff is theirs. I wouldn't be surprised if some barista is in cohoots with these thieves and notify them to come by and have a pay day.

That's too bad. At least props to the Jap guy for having balls. I wish he'd been some super ninja and had kicked the shit out of them.

If they want your stuff, then just accept it as a loss. I'm not talking about letting some drunken bum or scrawny, sneaky pickpocket get the better of you. Backhand that dude.

But if there are a legit gang of robbers using or threatening violence to get your phone/wallet, then let them have it. Many of the 20 somethings are prior militia/rebels/cartel and your life means nothing to them. If they can smack you in the head and take your shit and simply leave, then they will. But if you fight them, you're just an obstacle in the way of them getting that loot, and they won't feel any iota of guilt about stabbing you repeatedly in the carotid. Five minutes later they'll be drinking beer with your pesos and will have forgotten all about you. And just because two short Colombian teens seem very beatable doesn't mean their enforcer friend isn't nearby watching with a machete up his shirt.

Remember the DEA agent in Bogota tried to fight, too. They likely would have just zapped him with the stun guns and left him in the back of the cab, but the agent kept fighting with them. They stabbed him to death in the back of the taxi because he was merely an obstacle to getting that loot.

Smartphones are less than $80 at Walmart. From personal experience, a replacement US passport costs $135 at the embassy. It's just money. Hopefully you've left your money cards at the hotel, so you'll be able to continue on.

Colombia is fun but watch your six, Gents! You think it only happens to other people, but think again.

Ya that Japanese guy got smoked on his first day in the city because he ran after the guys who jacked his laptop, this happened near Estadio. A few months ago I was having coffee at El Bujo on la 70 and 47 (nice spot) and there was a young Gringo there with his laptop on the table, smart phone out and expensive looking head phones, probably about $1500-2000 worth of gear. This was at an outside cafe where the tables were right on the sidewalk next to a metro station with hundreds of people walking by. I felt like telling him to put it away but if someone is that stunned to have a couple of grand worth of electronics out like that in a third world country then there's really no helping them, they have to learn the hard way.

Whenever someone brings up the story of that nip who got capped by his hostel it reminds me of this time in high school this guy convinced me to dine and ditch with him in little tokyo. We must have had a 2 or 3 block head start, and before I knew it the nip was like 5 seconds behind us. The only reason we got away was because a cop car went by and he stopped and flagged down the cop so we were able to get away. Not sure what this has to do with Colombia, but japs will chase you and they're fast as fuck

I am in Cali now. This time I'm not staying near the centre. There are lots of girls with amazing asses but not too many girls with pretty faces (even in the rich people's shopping centres less than 20% of girls have pretty faces).

Got pics? I plan on Cali soon and some of Bogota, so if anybody is there, we can hang out some.

I don't have any pics of the Cali girls. There are heaps of Cali girls with great bodies (not only the ass, overall good body). I'm leaving Cali in a few hours. Will be in Bogota again tomorrow, but likely only for two or three days.

Upcoming Colombia Trip

I just got back to Australia yesterday.

I was in Colombia for around 6 weeks. I did not score a Colombian flag due to poor logistics. 4 weeks I was with my Peruvian girl and around 10 days with my Auntie who visited from overseas. However I did kiss 2 girls and go on a bunch more dates. I found the attractiveness and personality of girls varied hugely by city:
-Bogota: the city has an abundance of attractive and well dressed white girls with sweet personalities.
-San Gil: the city has an abundance of attractive and well dressed white and mixed girls with sweet personalities.
-Santa Marta: ugly and poorly dressed girls (the black girls and the white girls and the mixed girls were all ugly) with bitchy attitudes (possibly due to the danger of the city)
-Cartagena: the white girls were mediocre but a lot of the black and mixed girls were super hot and well dressed, and with pretty faces and great bodies. Due to too much drug money floating around and too many tourists the girls in Cartagena were super bitchy and difficult.
-Santa Rosa: ugly and bitchy girls
-Medellin: ugly and bitchy women (the women in Poblado and surrounding areas were super hot though)
-Cali: bitchy women with hot bodies (especially the asses) and mediocre faces. The black and mixed girls in this city were better than the white girls.
-San Andreas: the local girls were not super ugly but they were not that attractive either. They were mediocre but with high bitch shields.

Overall it was an enjoyable trip (despite some hiccups). Some of the islands and national parks are amazing with great beaches, scuba diving, etc. I saw lots of different birds too. Colombian home cooked food on the few occasions I was lucky enough to eat it was delicious. Colombian restaurants were mostly mediocre with a few notable exceptions that were very good. The soup was always good everywhere I went though. Drinking heaps of fresh coconut water from the street was refreshing in the heat. The Colombian government was retarded and a pain in my ass, and also customer service levels were appalling and a lot of things were backwards. I was quite fond of the Colombian girls from certain cities. I love how a lot of Colombian girls have a special slutty walk where they jiggle their ass a lot when the walk.

Couldn't really disagree more with Australia Sucks assessment of Medellin and Cali girls, but to each their own.

I never felt that Santa Marta was dangerous, in centro and especially Rodadero but I do agree that the women are ugly there.

I forgot to add in my post that large chunks of Medellin and Cali were also unsafe and this may have contributed to the bitchiness of the girls.

Natas, have you been to the centre of Medellin or really any part of Medellin where poor and lower middle class people hang out? Go to the centre of Medellin and tell me Medellin girls are attractive. Its not reasonable to base your assessment off a few elite universities and rich people areas like Poblado. In Cali I often had to walk twenty minutes just to find one girl with a pretty face.Maybe you knew the right spots to hit up in Cali, but are you honestly telling me Cali girls have pretty faces? Or that they are nice to foreigners?

Nascimento, when you say you disagree with my entire post can you elaborate on that?

Scotian, when I said Santa Marta is dangerous I meant in a relative sense. I would say I felt the more dangerous cities I went to in Colombia were Medellin, Cali and Santa Marta. Also the Santa Marta locals seemed to think their city was dangerous.

I'm putting it bluntly, but basically because you said the only girls worth meeting in the entire country are in Bogota and one small pueblo, and everywhere else they're entitled bitches and/or ugly. It completely contradicts my experience in Colombia (6 months) and that of many guys I've met there.

Nascimento the problem is that I was only in Colombia for 6 weeks so I am writing from the perspective of a short-term tourist with limited/basic Spanish. Perhaps if I had more time in each city to get to know the right locations to game (more hot girls or friendlier girls, etc) in, and the opportunity to build a social circle, (and if I had better Spanish) my experience might have been different. But for a foreigner with modest Spanish and only a short time to spend in each city I do not feel my experience is misleading or unrepresentative. Two people can go to the same country and have a completely different experience.

Colombia is a pretty stratified society, going to centro where the poorer working classes hang out then going to the posh parts of town is like going between two seperate worlds. Of course the women will be uglier in centro, just like trailer park and ghetto trash women in the west aren't as attractive as their upperclass counterparts. Also, there isn't much reason to go to centro anyway, most of us tend to hang out where the wealthier, upper class Colombians are because its safer and of course the women are hotter. I don't think what you're saying is controversial, its more like "no shit Sherlock."

Scotian but the difference is in almost every part of Bogota (including the middle and lower class suburbs) I went to I still found a decent number attractive women. Yes there was still a drop in quality between rich and poor suburbs but it was nowhere near as steep with overall more consistent quality. I never walked around in a suburb of Bogota where the average young woman was ugly. In most parts of Medellin I was in, the average young woman was ugly.

In Medellin it was only a very small area (maybe 5-10% of the physical area of the whole city) that had attractive women with a steep decline in quality for the rest of the city. Honestly in a lot of parts of Medellin women were U.S.A. ghetto level of ugly.

Hi there forum mate, Bogotá is a 9 million city twice as big as medellín. I don't think you came down southside to see the abominations of women we have down here in Bogotá. Any colombian knows, even the bogotanos themselves that the Bogotonas are the most stuck up, and ugliest as far as quantity out of the entire Country. When a rolo goes to Medellín, eje cafetero or Cali, he realizes how much fun he has missed his entire blue-pill existence glued to a feminist bogotana landwhale with no class whatsoever. I have friends with european ancestry who look pretty much like nordic dudes who have been in a 7 year ltr with the ugliest 5s you can ever imagine. It's so interesting how much of a different world you see in colombia as a tourist compared to a local. Cheers mate, hope you come back and score multiple notches next time, best wishes from bogotá.

In Bogota (or any other city for that matter) by no means was I there long enough to see the whole city and perhaps I missed out on the slum parts. I caught taxis and buses to a lot of places and did checkout the talent from the window whilst commuting, on top of the actual places I have been to. In Bogota I went to Andre De Res Carne and walked around the neighborhood after eating. I stayed in La Candelaria and also stayed one night somewhere close close to Monserrate. I went to the shopping center (Centro Commercial Avenida Chile) in Avenida Chile and walked around the neighbour-hood. I also saw the centre of Bogota and also the neighborhood around the El Dorado airport. I caught 2 or 3 buses and went to Zipaquiera. That covers most of the areas that I saw in Bogota. In none o those places did I see vast numbers of fat or ugly women.

In Medellin I walked around Polblado which had hot women. I stayed near the centre which had fugly women. I stayed in Estadio (they had a lot of people on the street because of the soccer) which had mediocre women. I caught the teleferico (a full round trip) to enjoy the view of the city and also once caught a metro/train from the bus terminal to the centre of Medellin. Out of all the places I walked around and all the train and telefrico stops I saw, the only place that had large numbers of attractive women was the Poblado (and surrounding) areas.

Also on average the Bogota girls I met were often friendly and in any case much less snobby to me than Medellin girls.

Lonewolf, given how long you have been in Colombia for I'll take your word for it. Perhaps you are right that due to me only seeing a small part of every city I went to I did not get an accurate picture of the women.

Scotian, how do you deal with the Colombia withdrawal symptoms?
