Not sure about Christchurch with the rebuilding, bound to be a lot of guys milling around now.

OP needs to know what he wants. A medium sized city below 300K or 400K or a big city with more than a million. The opportunities and pace of the city will be very different and will determine the kind of social life you will have.

Ive been in Fremantle ,Western Australia for the last 2 months, i have beach house here which im dividing into two , for AirBNB. Dont get me wrong Australia is a great place , the nature is amazing and it has such a relaxed feel , but if you come here looking for women ...then it a feminine desert. Additionally the laws are very pro women, all you have to do is date a women for 6 months and have her live in your house, she can then make up some lies about violence or similar , your thrown in the slammer and she takes your house...make money in Australia ...but id think twice about working ,living and marrying here.

I lived in Wellington for a few years. It's a bit smaller population wise (200k~ in the city area). Nice chilled place, lots of nightlife, lots of daylife, lots of students, logistically great and easily walkable. Can get quite windy and the southerly wind can be brutal in winter (the city is also empty in summer as everyone goes home for Xmas), but all in all a pretty damn nice place.

I would say for Australia and New Zealand generally (I have traveled extensively in both countries and reside in Australia) as a general rule the big cities will have more attractive women (e.g. Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Auckland, etc) but the women will generally be difficult by international standards.

The smaller cities usually experience a huge drop off attractiveness but to compensate the girls are easier and you may have some slight foreigner value. In general if (I know that is a big if) you can get the job you want in a smaller beach city (e.g. Newcastle, Wollongong, etc) do that. Your rent will be much, much lower (you could get a one bedroom apartment to yourself for less than the cost of a room in Sydney or Melbourne) and you can still enjoy being outdoors plus you have a good chance of getting a 6 or 7 (if you can even find an 8 she will probably be married or at least have a long-term boyfriend) as a girlfriend. In the small cities and towns, a large percentage of guys seem to be massive losers so just be being an average guy and smashing out a few approaches you can probably get a decent girl. While for the average guy getting a 6 or 7 as a girlfriend in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, etc is crazily difficult.

Wellington is busy in summer...the comment above about it being empty is total bullshit...there will be lots of backpackers and tourists from all over the world. Also remember Wellington is the capital city of NZ, so it is really only Christmas day the city shuts down, but even then public transport, tourist attractions, etc stay open.

Probably a lot lower. I've never been to Cali but supposedly it's one of the better areas in the US for women, and the US as a whole is better than NZ.

Remember also that some places in NZ have a high population of Pacific Islanders, who tend to pack on weight very quickly once exposed to Western diets. South Island is a lot more European than North Island, but the flipside is that the population is far smaller and there is less to do.

I believe the hit in quality you will have to take is probably so large that if you aren't celibate here you probably won't be celibate anywhere(that has a decently large population). I mean surely if your standards are low enough you won't ever go incel unless you're really, really unattractive/weird? The problem really is how low you would go.

Although the quality might be better, your standard of game also has to be taken into account. Although the quality might be higher in places like LA or SD, what kind of competition can you expect and how would the bitch shields be? Especially if you are coloured, you are not going to stand out in Cali the way you will anywhere in NZ. I have seen 8s and 9s going out with pretty normal even beta dudes in terms of build and height in Auckland and and actually having a conversation with lost, scruffy FOB african guys at 11 on a weekend night. But, this might be different outside of Auckland.
