Two major areas I would like to see that haven't been discussed yet:

- Push Trump to dismantle the surveillance state. Trump once said if he were President Snowden would be home and with an apology by now. He might be bound by public expectations, but you could get some common ground with elements of the Left on this. If he goes more isolationist, there's less need for an immense surveillance apparatus and the justice system that has to watch it. Anyway, the NSA and CIA monitoring programs are essentially amateur porn aggregation bodies now. Snowden rightly points out that so much information is pouring in that it cannot be analysed by humans anymore. It didn't stop the Boston bombings, it didn't stop the Orlando shooter, it didn't stop the Fort Hood shooter, and on, and on, and on. This shit is not making the US safer, and if it's not making the US safer, it's necessarily a waste of money and a waste of time. And the best part is: Cialdini tells us that people fight harder and more intensively for freedoms recently given to them. If Trump took down the surveillance programs, people would remember him for that, and if a Democrat tried to put them back, they'd scream harder and fight harder to prevent it.

- Push Trump to fund investment in the space program again, whether in partnership with the private sector or not. This is important long term stuff to put through, for the overall survival of the species, and there is no more advanced nation on the Earth to push it than the US. Trump could invoke Kennedy: "By the year 2025, an American is going to set foot on Mars." He could link in all of his audacity and thinking big strategies into this program. At the height of the Apollo program NASA's total budget never exceeded 4.5% of the US budget. Combine that with a results-oriented businessman who is prepared to clean out the dead wood at NASA and this could be done. Musk has reusable rockets. Or fuck me, they could rebuild the big Saturn V lifters. NASA knows the EmDrive works. Give people something big to dream about, something to aspire to, something to look forward to. A Democrat President will never do this; Kennedy is long dead and a woman President will never even contemplate it.

I used to call them the leftist or globalist media to friends, but this term hasn't and likely will never reach widespread usage because all leftists recoil from it.

Instead we need something more subtle, which is condescending but to the companies themselves rather than to the left so they are able to distance themselves from it and instead turn to our preferred media sources.

My suggestion: they are the Old Media.

God willing (and talk of a 1000 year Trumpenreich aside), Trump will have 4 years and maybe 4 more. This is enough time to stack the force bringers of government with more high T right wing males. Hollywood seems like a lost cause, but I believe we could make inroads in the music industry by capitalizing on this new edgy coolness that conservatism looks to be gaining.

There is an online organization called wordsmith.org that, among other things, emails out a "word of the day" including definition, history, use of the word, and inspiring quote, every day to its subscribers. It was founded and is managed by a guy from India named Anu Garg.

I subscribed to the free service for years. However, about six months ago Mr. Garg went on a huge anti-Trump rant and started using the sentence examples to post anti-Trump diatribes. In the comments a number of people, including me, asked him to keep his service politically neutral. He refused. So, I and an unknown number of other people unsubscribed.

About a week after Trump's election I suddenly started receiving the word of the day emails again. I suspect that Mr. Garg lost more people than he expected from his service after his anti-Trump meltdown, so after the election he simply turned all those subscriptions on again hoping that we would forgive and forget. I don't know about the others, but I immediately unsubscribed again.
