Got on tinder very late in the day - my bad .

Good news :

Friday night is like a different city , people everywhere , places busy etc.
Street opens work well , had several good chats on the way to the bars . Made it too villi waino , cool bar / club near the station a few roads over.
Busy - packed with dudes but a lot of 7-9's girls there's dressed up super nice .
Drinks not too expensive .
Easy to chat to girls .. Standard rules
Of guys standing around doing nothing and girls doing the same . Opening is super easy , ran game on several sets / solos but still couldn't quite get the hook / venue bounce . Foreigner status is an easy in but moving on from there still seems to involve tight game I.e no 'let's fuck at mine ' style.
Still , not complaining . It's good to be practically the only dude in the place who's actually approaching these hot chicks .
I have noticed that once you open a set or a girl the orbiters start closing in and trying to jump in on the convo . It's mainly harmsless so easy to block them out etc.

Anyway , weekdays is a waste of time . Getting the bang seems to need that extra push .. At least for me and from that particular venue .

Saturday night :

Less busy than Friday but till decent .

Went to Aussie club - cool place , good layout , decent ratio , hit the bar and mingled around .

Pulled a 6.5 chick that was divorced (31) but genuinely pleasant early in the night , gambled on finding something hotter ..fail.

Had a good chat with a really nice solid 8 who wasn't drunk but then dropped the boyfriend bomb an hour in.
Tried last call game couldn't get traction .

Read your posts, too bad you didn't get the lay, but good effort. My opinion is that Scandi game is a lot about logistics, you need to know where the late night spots are and particularly those known as hookup spots. Quality is not consistent at those places, but with some - calibrated - game there's almost always a good chance.

i have failed but I can tell you guys a few facts that I've heard over and over again from guys and girls here which may or may not help ..

1. Guys and girls do not mix until 3 am , then it's amateur hour until 4

2. The nice , chatty , Chill girls tend to have boyfriends, one I spoke to was 21 , lovely girl and telling me about how she thinks men should be men etc. Very traditional etc. So they are out there

Good effort. I had a similar experience in Finland. Went out every night for a week and got nothing good. I met some foreign guys who claim to do well, but they live there and have built social circles, and know all the right spots. It's a cliquey scene and girls tend to arrive and leave in groups, so your game needs to be quite good. Opening is easy and the girls are polite but I found it difficult to get much further. I wouldn't recommend beginners going there. I also had terrible results on Tinder, among the worst of any country I've been to.

Sorry to hear you didn't close Rod, it sounds like Helsinki mightn't be great for solo game. The positive reports I've heard tend to be from guys who went with a group, who could just enjoy drinking with their mates all night and then sloppily hook-up at closing time, Finnish style.

At least you put yourself out there and saw a new city though, they're both always positive experiences.

Few more pointers before I forget -

1. A Few local people said in the north there's a different vibe and people are more open .. Might be worth rolling into one of the bigger cities further up and running game

2. Don't press the ' you guys don't talk much ' too hard , had a few chicks get a bit shirty and starting all the ' judging people ' nonsense .. Even tho it's a fact .

3. Dudes here dress well on a Friday but don't seem to have the imagination to step outside the fitted navy suit + white shirt look so if you're going to rock baller game maybe try a darker combo or something a bit different . There were bars full of well dressed but identical clones .

5. You'll find some hotter chicks have stuff to do on Saturday's and hold back on getting too pissed and fuck Up your logistics so they can get back home

Good report, but you may have self-defeated yourself if you just wanted the bang by being too picky. Did you pass up a lot of good opportunities? Also, its so subjective which girls are 7's or 5's.
Some guys like big breasts while other guys are more into a pretty face.
If you were just going after 7-8 then they might already have boyfriends or be too conceited to have a ONS with a vacationer. They just might be getting so much attention from men that its not just enough to be a Westerner - and they require more time and effort building comfort and trust.
