@apolis

That sounds annoying . This chick was sober because she was on meds for an ear infection but other were shit faced .
So far I've spent a lot , been hungover for most of the time and haven't got a lot to show for it .
Not good ?

I remember Roosh's tip "Don't go to a country where you look like the local guys".Maybe that applies to you. Have you tried Tinder to get fast results?

Yeh I think you could be correct there.. I'm getting spoken to in Finnish everywhere .
People seem friendly enough but not getting any real bites / hooks . Might experiment with more direct day game to separate from
The beta fin guys .

Nah I'm not up on the online stuff ..really
Should pull my finger out and get it sorted ..seems to be the way forward

Haven't made it into milli yet that's my reserve card.

I wouldn't count on it. I was there on a Saturday night this June and the male:female ratio was 6:4 at best with a cliquey atmosphere and big groups. Could have been an off night but there were other negative reviews of that place in one of the Helsinki threads.

Helsinki report - live 2016

Thursday night

Hungovér . Walked around in the day , eye candy levels are still high . Some absolute stunners mixed in with general decent quality.
No interactions per say , polite chats in shops / directions etc. not much more .
Met up with forum dude , Antares . Cool guy , if you get the chance meet with him .
Talked game with Antares then went back for a power nap .
Made it into town and headed to Aussie bar , pretty dead , couple of social circle girls with local guys + a few Americans and the odd English guy.
Headed to Karlee xii acting on tip off from the bar man..line outside . Made it in with Antares, cool-ish looking place spread over several floors with mixed crowd from older suited guys to dudes in shorts... Appalling ratio of chicks / guys .. Honestly counted maybe a dozen or so in the whole place and TONNES of guys.
Different rooms with different music in each but
Personally wasn't feeling it. credit too Antares , opened what was one of maybe 3 sets in the whole place and seemed to be doing ok .. If you're reading this dude ..chime in but for me personally I got a bit of attitude off the chicks which didn't really help feeling pretty wrecked tired still from the night before .

Anyway , we move on ..back too the 'infamous ' milliklubbi ...

Pretty empty . Girl / guy ration again pretty bad , few 5-6's with maybe a 7 / 7.5 in the mix , again a tonne of drunken guys mostly locals doing their thing .

Antares did his thing ..ill leave it to him to add if he wants.

I did one or two low key approaches and got no where.

Not ready to right it off just yet as it was a Thursday but it wasn't good.

American / LA card seems to get some traction in most places .

All in all it was worth it too hang with another dude off the forum and swap stories but results wise - fail . Wish you well on your onward journey my friend and good luck with the pirate flag [Image: wink.gif]

I'll be back out tmrw ( Friday ) which will
HOPEFULLY be more rewarding / target rich

Ps . the 8 flaked

Britabroad

I'm here based on Intel from the site that there's the hook up culture similar to what i witnessed in Iceland ( where I did ok despite looking more
'local')
I'm not making excuses and saying it's holding me back but I am saying it appears not to be helping , put it that way .
If Colombia was a three hour flight id be there
Right now believe me :-)

@Rod, you are describing a city where daygame is impossible and nightlife is cliquish. On the other hand you don't use all your resources, saying you are not into online stuff, while you are regular on here.
Modern game requires to use more than your resources. At the end of the day, it does not matter if you look or not like the local guys, as long as you can find a way to get the bang. Some guys maybe do well with drunk game in clubs and get results, but I don't think it's the way to move forward.
Open a Tinder account in two minutes and set up a few dates for tonight and tomorrow and go for the bang. If you roll solo, I don't see any other solution.[Image: smile.gif]

@apolis

where are you from my friend ? Maybe it's getting a little lost in translation , I apologise
[Image: smile.gif]

Day game - I'm not saying it is impossible , what I said was if you are good and can crack the code / find the right angle it could be golden . There's plenty of 'targets ' [Image: smile.gif]

Online stuff - I'm not a regular poster , in fact this is the only time I've ever done a 'report' on here and I'm writing what I'm seeing / experiencing . you are probably right about Tinder etc. it's something I've never used and have still managed to get laid in a multitude of countries . I have had some success with other 'dating sites ' and am looking around on there too don't worry .

Looking local - there's a reason Anglo looking guys go to Colombia , Thailand , even Spain ... It gets you looks being non-native .. That's simple a fact .
Does it STOP you getting laid looking the same as the locals ? Of course not ( Iceland ) but it does mean you're not going to stand out in a club full of people where the model is more initial attraction based on looks.

Drunk game is just how these people interact . Maybe being mr. Sober would be 'contrary ' in the club / bar but I doubt it .

Im writing how it is here for me personally in 2016 , others may come here and kill it straight of the plane but basics such as having places with decent ratios and the local quirks / habits all play a part regardless .

Friday tonight could be a WHOLE different story

Helsinki report - live 2016

For starters I dont think Thursday was the best night to be out. We talked to a few locals during the afternoon and asked about what was going on that night and the responses were pretty much the same, people dont do much on thursday. That being said, Kaarle XII was an interesting venue. Like Eod said, there are 3 dance floors and 4 bars. 2 of the dance floors were upstairs playing dance and metalish music. There was a surprising amount of room upstairs. The downstairs had a small packed dancefloor around a bar playing what I would descibe as Finnish pop music, a little too loud and crowded for our taste. The other bar was in a room with tables set up kind of like a pub.

The ratio there was appauling but I didnt really mind because the guys werent doing anything, they just sat in circles talking to eachother. Half the girls there seem like they might have been there with a guy and lile eod said, maybe a handful of 2 and 3 sets in the place but with it being as big as it was it easily seemed like even less. When I walked up to the first group of girls I barley even opened my mouth before I was invited to sit down. Easy, they wanted to be talked to. We chated a bit, but for some reason everyone here wants to talk about American politics and that kind of killed off the conversation. Rod wasnt feeling the place anyway so we bounced l. However, I will say again even with the bad ratio it didnt feel like the a bad ratio because these guys werent doing anything, it was like they were just props.

Milli was a very cool venue, a couple of dance floors 2 bars and a smoking room. The music was not obnoxiously loud either. You could still manage to speak if close. Now that it was mentioned, the social scene was pretty cliquish. No body seemed to really know eachother, they were spread out all over the club but the more we talked to people the more we learned that they actually all did kind of know eachother. The guys there definitely got hammered by the end of the night, while most of the girls seemed relatively together. It wasnt very crowded to begin with but to me the ratio seemed alright. More guys for sure but not as bad as the other place. I probably talked to 5 or 6 different girls or groups of girls. Thinking about it now, since the guys got so shit faced the girls are really the only ones worth talking to so in that respect it makes approachimg fairly easy. I didnt experiance the excitement I read about as far as telling them I was american. Girls showed interest but it didnt seem to separate me that much. They really dont small talk either. If I had another night though I feel like I could have definitely gotten a notch. Im not really cocky amd I didnt know how well sarcastic or american humor would translate so I kept it pretty basic. If I had been able to go out again I probably would be more direct about it, because people were obviously leaving to go fuck at the end of the night. The way the venue was moving, people just kind of did there own thing until last call so last minute hail marys could work.

All in all, I think I could have had success with one more night, especially a weekend night. It just took one night to kind of calibrate how the social system works there. Once you figure that out, it would seem like the floodgates would open.

Hope that helps.

Also, props to Rod for rolling out. The guy is a trooper for going out everynight until last call. Definitely reach out to him if you can.

Also, I did hit tinder. I got like 10 matches over the day I was there. Not a lot of responses but it could definitley work if you have a few days or if you pipeline ahead of time. The few I spoke to were pretty receptive and seemed willing to meet if logistics had worked out.

There's no better way to check a city than visiting it yourself, but Rod's report makes me think how awesome London can be if you are well organised and a bit lucky. I think I will delete Helsinki from my list, unless it rains bangs over the weekend.[Image: smile.gif]
I was thinking about going to Helsinki same period as Rod after a rubbish summer in London, but since 25th August I ve banged 4 chicks here. Helsinki can wait.

If blondes with good bodies and good style is your thing, the girls here are great. Comming fro. Los Angeles I still had to take a minute to adjust. It was kind of lile sensory overload. Its not just the amount of hot girls, but the amount of hot girls that are just your average every day person.

Everyone walks so you see girls everywhere. The only catch is how they really tend to keep to themselves. They all stare at the ground, walk swiftly and usually have headphones in. If you arent comfortable approaching inviting people then this is going to make it even more uncomfortable. However, everyone is friendly its really just the culture of keeping to yourself.

The lack of small talk makes banter pretty much moot during the day. If you are cool with making an approach that litterally feels like you are interupting someones mission then you will be fine, but I would again be straight forward.

Whats your name? Do you know any good places? What are you doing later? What are you doing now? Want to come with me?

You can talk, just have a point to what your talking about and ask them to hang out with you. It seems like the Fins are pretty straight up, so if they like you, theyll go for it and if not they wont. Theres not a whole lot of chase here so take things at face value and youll know when to cut your losses.

If youre not used to this kind of shy culture, its going to seem awkward as fuck at first.

Thats pretty much it.

Im on the ferry from Helsinki to Stockholm tonight so Ill post some reviews on that later too.

agreed . Places / cities can definitely change over time but we'll see what happens tonight .

Anteras makes some good points .. I
Might need to recalibrate and run more
'Iceland direct game ' at last call .

I would add that in karlee xii a
Chick negged me and gave me a patronising shoulder pat for saying i voted for BREXIT when she asked me, also a bouncer made a quip about it on the way into a club come to think of it.

Like Antares said the politics thing raised its head a few times.. Tread carefully I guess.

Would love to know where the daytime 8-9-even 10s(?) go at night .. get the feeling I'm scrapping around the lower ranges on nights
Out during the week at least .

I've lived with that Finnish chick for 3 months in a London flatshare and -bear in mind- I hit on her with drunk game the very first night I met her, but she still stayed in the same flat and didn't move.
She told me East Finland is more artistic and open minded, while West is shy and reserved. Can any Finnish member comment on this and recommend any second tier Eastern Finland cities?

I just came from Helsinki. Not a lot to report. I've been in the city before so I wasnt brand new to the scene, I did better my first time. As far as looking too local and everyone speaking to you in Finnish, they do that to everyone. I look as far from Finnish as possible and everyone still spoke to me in Finnish first until they heard my English.

Milli on Thursday sucked, I think its been dead for a long time now. Random Finnish guys and girls mentioned the ROK article without prompting.
