I'd give my son the name of a God.
Apollo, Thor, Anubis, Odin. Something like that.
Or perhaps that of a Hero. Ajax, or Ulysses.

I agree with everyone saying to give your child a normal name. "Julius" is normal enough, but all the other names OP suggested are obscure and foreign-sounding.
I'm a white American guy, and my parents decided to give me a foreign-sounding name from my mother's native tongue (Spanish). My last name is more American-sounding. People often mispronounce or misunderstand my name. They also mix up my first and last names (they don't know which is which). Also, they wonder why I'm a white American with a Spanish name, and I end up having to explain to them "my mother is from (such and such country)...."
I have started using the Americanized version of my name with employers and with new people I meet. I never thought my name was such a big deal, but since I've started using the Americanized version, I don't get the confused looks, or people asking me to repeat myself, anymore when I introduce myself.
You can't go wrong with giving your kid a normal English name (or if you live in France, a French name, etc.). Having a "badass" name is not going to get your kid anything positive, but having a "funny" or "weird" name can certainly hold him back. No one is going to get made fun of at school for being named John, Charlie, or Richard.
I prefer traditional names like Jack and Chris over modern names like Kyle and Ethan, but that's just my preference.

I really like French names, Remi being my favourite.

I have no idea. I'll have 9 months to decide when it happens though, assuming I don't get one pulled over on me.

I will probably name him after my deceased uncle or after my grandfather. Seems appropriate. Both had/have solid, respectable names.
I will be checking my PMs weekly, so you can catch me there. I will not be posting.

Chester or Sebastian would definitely get considered. Both go well with my surname.
I have a list of girls names I like too, but haven't given that much thought to boys names.

Ryan and Luke, though I'm kind of ashamed to say that I have like four or five girls' names that I would readily give my daughters, but I find the aforementioned male names are only just acceptable, and that was after a long conversation with the wife.

I am afraid that women appreciate cruelty, downright cruelty, more than anything else. They have wonderfully primitive instincts. We have emancipated them, but they remain slaves looking for their masters all the same. They love being dominated.

Whatever I do with my sons, I'll try to give them short, normal, and masculine (nothing with "den" at the end) names like Jack, or Thomas, or George. Normal may vary depending on where we live, but if I had an itch I can't get rid of to name my children something extraordinary, I'll give that name to them as their middle name.
Then they can choose to go by their middle name is they like it, or stay the first name.

God, Hero, Conqeror, or someone of historical greatness. Greek and Egyptian mythological names have always been dope to me.
Zeus, Aries, Apollo, Dionysus, Ra, Osiris, Horus

King or Lion. I named my pup Prince so I can't use that. I like the name Tyson also.
His last name will be Flores so I can't whitewash his name.
If his last name was Williams, Johnson, or Jackson then I would choose a more common first name.
The cycle of disrespect can start with just an appetizer.
