My guidelines. The rules are pretty much the same as dating any "foreign" girl. The rules below would also apply to a black guy dating a white girl or any other "foreign" girl.

In a nutshell, show respect for other cultures, but don't try to be "one of them." Nobody respects someone with a defective sense of identity. You have to sort of float above the cultural milieu, and show you are accessible.

4. While you should not act thug or overtly "down," you should display that you have some sort of "flavor." There's a difference, see. Flavor is implied knowledge. Flavor is the whiff of suggestion. Flavor is that gleam in your eye, that two-day old growth on your face, that nice cologne you're wearing, and things like that. The point is: you have to show you're not some square. No chicks want to be with a square.

5. Stand up for yourself. All women test, but black girls will be inclined to test you a bit more, since you are more of an unknown quantity. Black women mostly come from cultural backgrounds where men are expected to act masculine. I'm not saying you need to be swaggering around, but you need to draw boundaries and enforce them.

Great post, I left point 6 and 7 because they were relevant to my situation, both nights but especially this past Friday there were a bunch of black dudes trying to holler at her, and I could see them seething when they saw me doing my thing.

It's funny, I have absolutely no animosity towards black guys at all, but I did take a bit of pleasure knowing that there were like "what the fuck!?" seeing me with her. There was a DJ and a dance floor area and me and her were getting down, she was grinding her ass on me hard, while I was grabbing and slapping it and basically motioning like I was fucking her doggy style.

It got to the point where there were like 3 black dudes standing there watching us with some salty ass looks on their faces. While it was all fun for me, I certainly wouldn't have rubbed it into their faces and talked shit or anything like that. I was already "flexing" in my own way, grinding, squeezing, and slapping on that booty with a big old grin on my face.

I should say the first night I hooked up with her though she was kind of self-councious of the other black guys there, like we went out in front of the bar and I was going to make out with her, but she'd pull away, and then I'd be like what's wrong, and she'd be like "those black dudes are staring at me."

What you're doing might be fun, but it's not worth the stress in the long run. This flak is the reason I'm taking a break from dating black girls - at least until I move to a better part of town.

I'm white as bread and I get a lot of love from sistas (educated American, Caribbean, African). I don't touch rachets or bad girls. That being said, I'm tired of getting getting stared down by younger black thug wannabes (20-30) as well as dealing with old gangsta-has-beens (45+) mouthing off. Even just holding hands or having an arm around a sista gets vitriol and dirty looks from a lot of locals.

I'm at the point where I'll only go out with them in good white and mixed neighborhoods, avoid going out around black hangout spots after dark, and will often just cab it with them, rather than taking public transit. Some metro lines can be a shit show even during the day (and even worse at night when rowdy crowds and alcohol are added to the mix), and frankly, not worth the stress of having to always be on alert.

Gaining 20 lbs of mass would help, but it isn't a quick fix. And in my city, carrying is not an option.

You have already decided American black women are more trouble than they are worth, whether the problem is them or their environment is irrelevant. You realized for you it wasn't worth the extra baggage and or effort. OG NorCal may or may not come to the same realization, depending on what part of Northern California he is in. As close in proximity as Richmond and Oakland are to Berkely and SF, they are worlds apart in reality and vibe. I suspect you are in DC, NYC, or Chicago since those are the large Black, Urban, cities where carrying is illegal. Big difference.

Black lads in the UK aren't really like that on the whole, and will often even give you credit / help you out / be friendly with you if you are going after black girls.
