Better Call Saul Season 1

I really like the show albeit it does suffer with pace issues .Jonathan Bank's acting as Mike is almost perfect and Bob Odenkirk is brilliant too.

I have a good friend who unfortunately is also a Liberal-Feminist. He watches this show and loves it. So,sometimes I fuck around with his feminist thinking .

What I do is that with the shows he really likes a lot, such as this one, I start mentioning how anti feminist the shows are. For this show I mention how Gilligan (show's creator) is a misogynist by making the main females to be bitches in both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul . I tell him that they are portrayed in a negative light and are ultimately shown as unsupportive to the main male lead during the time the male lead needed them the most. I further mention that the supporting female cast in both shows has been either shown as villains or taking advantage of their male relations.

By the way ,all this is true. The two main female characters(Skylar and Kim) are shown as these independent, assertive and career types .This is in a way meant to be a 'strong ,modern woman' portrayal of the love interest characters. Only thing is that it also makes the characters look absolutely negative and bitchy.

I, ofcourse ,do not mention the last paragraph to my friend and its hilarious to see his feminist view break to shreds and him trying to back these characters up.I just keep saying to him that its a shame that such great shows have so much misogyny in them and he loses it.

Also , next time he gets to remark on any other show or movie as not being feminist or it being prejudiced against women , Ill just tell him that he has no right to say that as his best shows are highly misogynist/anti feminist which in turn makes him a misogynist.

Two of the only realistic female characters on tv that I can relate to in the last 10 years.... & it's Gilligan making 'em look cunty in your opinion?

Jimmy is making a big mistake by asking Kim to be his partner. What is his motivation? neediness? If art imitates life, this neediness should be the final nail in the coffin with Kim.

Either I have not been clear enough or you didnt read properly.

Those two female characters are realistic because they match the modern western bitchy wife or working woman.

They do exhibit cold cunt behavior and its Giligan who purposely decided for them to.Lot of fans complained on this and in Giligan’s mind the female leads behavior is actually good and people who find their behavior bitchy or cuntish are misogynist . He said so in an interview.

"One of the criticisms of Breaking Bad that keeps coming up is over the female characters. Skyler White is seen by some as this henpecking woman who stands in the way of all of Walt’s fun.

Man, I don’t see it that way at all. We’ve been at events and had all our actors up onstage, and people ask Anna Gunn, “Why is your character such a bitch?” And with the risk of painting with too broad a brush, I think the people who have these issues with the wives being too bitchy on Breaking Bad are misogynists, plain and simple. I like Skyler a little less now that she’s succumbed to Walt’s machinations, but in the early days she was the voice of morality on the show. She was the one telling him, “You can’t cook crystal meth.” She’s got a tough job being married to this asshole. And this, by the way, is why I should avoid the Internet at all costs. People are griping about Skyler White being too much of a killjoy to her meth-cooking, murdering husband? She’s telling him not to be a murderer and a guy who cooks drugs for kids. How could you have a problem with that?"

So now its suddenly misogyny to complain of wives or girlfriends who act cold, bitchy and put on a holier than thou attitude instead of providing support to their husband/boyfriend . Its understandable that these female character’s spouse had started dealing in illegal activities but Giligan wrote these females in a way that their disapproval to their husband/bf showed complete lack of empathy and non-willingness to understand. The male viewership will naturally loathe or despise such characters.

I really like both the shows and consider both somewhat redpill .But what I don’t like is that retarded Feminists such as my friend will go along with the liberal media narrative that those two female characters are examples of how a good spouse/wife should be. That the show is good example for feminism.

Inorder to destroy that viewpoint , I purposely turn the narrative around and put a thought in these feminists head that the show is sexist as it treats its woman characters negative all the time. This fucks with their thinking as their beloved show which they thought as pro-feminist is not anymore.

This also gives me ammunition to reply back to them when they criticize other shows or movies as being sexist or misogynistic . I just point out that they have no right to as their best show is anti feminist/misogynistic.

This way their belief system starts to crash and they start to question the bullshit that is feminism . And in case if its a friend which it is in my case , I get to influence much needed redpill thoughts on him .

I love how you blame Gilligan for the apparent cuntiness of these characters. While at the same time excusing all the other cunts on both those shows.

Both shows are full of "cunts". Even Mike (who is the only character I thought I could learn something from) could be a cunt, and often is.

I'm sick of the hero worship of Walter White. He started out as an insipid beta husband & ended as a piece of shit.

Jesse was insufferable the whole way way through.

Gus was a psychopath.

Yet...

It's Gilligan making the girls look like cunts.

I think you brought the misogyny to this party.

I love both shows for the honesty in the writing.

Better Call Saul Season 1

Kim Wexler looks good for her age. She looked like a woman that was around 36-38 but in reality she is 44. I mean, for a post wall woman she looks well kept.

I hate Saul for being such a beta around her. He demonstrates hard work, innovative thinking and charisma but all bets are off when it comes to her. He will put his life on hold and in reverse just to white knight a woman that doesn't even care about him.

I suspect like many others that something will happen to his relationship with her that will help shed his weakness. It'll be like when Mr white became Shin Heisenberg after what happened to Hank in the last season of BB.

I admit this is true. The character seemed like around 35 years old. I was surprised when I saw on Wikipedia that the actress portraying Kim is actually 44.

Also no one commented on the Chuck's condition. I believe that it's not physical but psychological (the doctor in a hospital also said so in S1E5). In other words I believe the entire "sensitiveness to electricity" thing is all in his head. From my personal experience, I had a relative with such irrational fears, and the worst thing you can do is go along with it. If you do the craziness only gets worse.
