Better Call Saul Season 1

This is my go to show right now.

It's really good so far.

A couple of Breaking Bad Easter eggs and guest appearances, but not really a prequel.

It's good, I don't have cable, so I just use torrents to watch it.

It is great and I expect good things in the future from this show. I like the characters that have appeared so far.

I'm sure you might get a kick out of it. There's some inside baseball lawyer humor in it that I was surprised they'd touch on

I don't watch television but had to check this out given how much I enjoyed Breaking Bad. It's lived up to the promise so far. Saul is a great character, looking forward to seeing how this develops.. Hate having to wait a week between episodes though.

Just finished a second viewing of the Breaking Bad series. I always loved the Saul character, wondered how anyone could take him seriously with his combover and bad suit until you see him in action with his clients.

I'll watch this after I finish the new season of House of Cards.

With Gotham not being as good as I expected it to be and The Walking Dead becoming boring as hell, this is my favorite show right now. It's hard to tell yet since there are just 4 episodes out but so far I even like it better than Breaking Bad. This show has definitely good potential and so far it lived up to it. Which is why I don't get why the audience ratings are dropping so much. It started with 6.88 million US viewers for episode 1 and dropped to 2.87 million for episode 4.

Sunday v. Monday is what I'm guessing. But BB didn't start with gangbuster #'s either, if I recall.

I usually avoid lawyer shows, because I try to avoid relaxing with the stuff I have to deal with every day in real life...[Image: tard.gif]

But I'm going to break this rule in this case. My law partner in my office really digs this show and has been recommending it. Will check it...

Is this on Netflix? A lot of people online were giving it bad reviews I haven't checked out myself but will do so after reading this thread.

2.87 is still a really good rating I'm pretty sure.

Breaking Bad didn't hit 2.87 until part 1 of season 5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bre...d_episodes

Mad Men got there in season 4: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Mad_Men_episodes

So I think Saul is coming out of the gate swinging in comparison.

Yeah but I think the initial numbers are from viewers coming from BB. The show might not be jiving with them, I do enjoy it.

Awesome show. I really like Vince Gilligan's style. The first episode where Saul was working at Cinabun was also funny as I had just finished watching BB's last season again.

Nice to see that with all the shitty Kardashian and fucking rich hillbilly reality shows somehow airing these days that there is still some good stuff worth watching.

The initial numbers were because the first episode came after Walking Dead which is the most watched cable show of all time. It regularly beats out NFL numbers. It came on in the place of Talking Dead and now it's Monday night.

Excellent so far, the perfect ratio of 80% drama and 20% comedy and with utterly superb character acting. Also, the writers do something a lot of the rancid teams behind most of the pappy TV Series do not: they actually write *plot* rather than just make a load of characters, stuff them in a situation and spin out endless episodes of them arguing and whining.

I hope it has a pre-planned number of episodes and follows some beautiful, nerdily satisfying, arc to perfectly tie in with Breaking Bad. How cool would it be if BCS actually ran the end part of its plot line on the same in-universe timeline as the beginning of Breaking Bad, and you saw Saul interacting with the original BB plot but from a different angle. I can but hope..
