Travesty, as I responded in the PM to Rontgennurz, the Swedes I've been friends with are playing on a different plane. They were badly browbeat into feminism. It took me countless drinks and questions to get their real views spoken. I believe that what many of us (Phoenix, QC, etc.) are viewing as a helpless, defeatist attitude is really just a cultural difference. The Scandinavia mindset if one of helplessness and defeat. Leif Erikson must be rolling in his grave.

You have to pound alcohol and load questions down their throats to get their true opinions. While Rontegennurz has a long way to go, I'm optimistic he came to the best place.

Our generation was built a bad hand, but we get to live in more interesting times, so, there's that.


Plus, what you'll learn is, meeting people is fun whether girls or guys.

There are a TON of immigrants in the USA, and being a white/broke guy who's open to being friends with anybody leads to pussy eventually. A lot of girls don't even care if your broke to be honest. As long as your involved with life, they really don't. Girls don't even care if your game is terrible as long as you don't care. A modern girl simply just wants you to give zero fucks. That's literally all that they ask.


Just do something. Anything. Anything besides looking at the internet and living at home. If you don't do something, anything, you'll just end up 40 living at home with mom.


Even if you fail with whatever you do, at least you will have physically left the house.

I listened to your podcast (as a result, I am now interested in this Gavan Daws historian and writer, by the way). Let me clarify some things.

Even though the examples I'm using are taken from WWII in the Pacific, we can still use the general lessons in our day-to-day lives. Most of us are not facing starvation or slave labor, but the mental frame of reference is what's important.

Men are under attack today from all sides. The OP's feelings are not imaginary...they are very real. But that should not be an excuse to give up. If anything, he should be thinking of how infuriated Charles XII of Sweden would be if he came back today and saw this moping around.

The quote about the "dying of shame" may not be the whole story, but I do think that there is some truth to it.

It's this: some people just give up, they just lie down and die. They throw in the towel. And this is what I was trying to communicate.

"Give up-itis" in all its forms, has to be resisted like the plague. This is what strikes such a visceral cord in me about some aspects of the MGTOW crowd.

And please note that, even though I do think that will power and the survival instinct is (to a great extent) an innate skill, that doesn't mean that all of us can improve our own mental conditioning to make the most with the tools we have.

No one is a hopeless case unless that person himself decides he is a hopeless case.

Like I said in the podcast, sometimes guys need to be berated, kicked, and slapped to get their vital juices flowing again.

But once a man decides all is lost, then little can be done for him.

Innate skills can always be somewhat acquired. Like, many people don't have the innate-skill of dancing or singing, but, with a lot of work, everybody can achieve an OK level at dancing or singing. You like lifting and are athletic. Repeat what you did in your teens with Counterstrike friends. Just do it now with a local sports league, martial arts, or outdoor clubs. Easy fix.

Instead of hanging out at the internet game room you will be at the gym, field, or out on a trip with people.
