I surprised there isn't one of these out already, considering:

- we generally run into this data fairly often as we cruise online
- men are constantly posting/asking where they should spend vacation or MOVE to
- if haven't traveled much, don't have an idea the vibe of other countries
- these maps are intended to paint a picture and imply what the LIFESTYLE is like out there. You can connect the rest of the dots yourself, i'm assuming an intelligent audience here and perhaps can limit the # of dumb topics that emerge.

I'll start off... but in general dump any map/infomatic you come across:

intelligence/happiness. Some people may want intelligence, some view it as toxic.. I personally see the positive aspects of a "non-intelligent" country

don't want a girl addicted to her smartphone? Cuba may be a goldmine.

apparently, Philippines is the king of texting.

global happiness (best measure)

a more specific map of happiness within Europe. Looks like we shouldn't underrate Turkey.

Cuba is just full of prostitutes, so good luck with that..

Happiness is a lot about the expectations that you create for yourself....Americans have high expectations, which is why seeing a bunch fatties walking around is depressing...but Peru, with all kinds of ugly women is rated very happy.

A lot of these happiness maps are put together by liberal NGOs who assign a higher preference function to counties who give out free shit like health care, etc.

Happy for those who get the hand out, unpleasant for the money makers who pay for it.

Dispersed costs, concentrated benefits.

These are things kidadults don't understand. They see free shit given to the exploited proles and that's it. Free shit, that's happiness right?

In essence, most of these happiness maps are bullshit.

See that's funny, I'm seeing average everyday Americans fucking all kinds of "women" these days with no shame.

Don't see these high expectations at all. Just take a look at the Peter Griffin brothel thread.

Yeah Peru has some ogre amerindians, but at least their average girl knows how to shave, wear heals and put on a cute black skirt.

Data is great, but in my experience what makes me click with country isn't always something that can broken down, and sometimes there were no objective reasons to love a place yet I did anyway. It's a feeling. It's experiences. Data points don't really tell the full story, or even the important parts of the story in my experience. Saying that, I still think it'a good idea and could have some use.

Americans are dreamers too

Didnt write my comment correctly...

I Dont Mean High expections, I mean high expectations that everything is going to be handed to them. And that going to college, having a great job is going to give them everything they want in life...including great wife...eventually reality sets in and makes people deeply un happy.

If you think there was "no shame" involved I would disagree...but with that in mind, theres a lot of people in the usa, who have no idea that theres millions of women with better attitudes outside the anglo world. If all you see is medíocrity everyday, then mediocrity is what youll accept.

The word you were looking for is entitlement and UK women are also pumped full of it.

Agreed, but the more experienced people can connect the dots and understand the implications of 1 simple data graph. i.e. if a country drinks a lot of alcohol, that means --> alcohol must be cheap, not frowned upon by society, can expect to see lots of drunk girls outside clubs, lifestyle... putting it all together can give you an accurate picture of living there.

Combine it with other various stats you come across, and you can make pretty solid life decisions for yourself without bothering others or wasting time.

Internet speed by country (attached)
Interesting: Spain has faster internet than France, and Australia is generally slow ..

Here is a nice summary on wiki as well: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_co...ion_speeds

Most surprising is seeing Italy on par with India and way below Thailand though in terms of Internet speed.
