More young men in the military can never be bad. You learn something there, turn boys into men, weens them off mom's tit (nanny state) and last but not least learns to shoot and fight.
I do feel that joining the various national militias is a better idea, don't know if France has such, but several countries have them, leftover from the Cold War where in the case of a Sovjet military victory you'd have militias to fight guerilla. They used to have guns at home too, but leftists dearmed them partially.

In Belgium, more specifically Molenbeek (Brussels), Salah Abdeslam has been captured alive after a shootout with the police. He was one of the participants of the Paris attacks, the one that fled the scene instead of blowing himself up at the stadium. He has been the main terrorist target for a while now in the whole of Europe, together with Abaaoud who was killed recently in France.
A second person has been arrested as well. Two days ago another terrorist (an algerian refugee) who was in their company was shot and killed during a police operation in Vorst, whereby they stumbled upon a sleeping terrorist cell by coincidence when checking a house that was thought to be abandoned. 5 police officers got injured in that operation and the two who are arrested now managed to escape the scene at that instant.
Seems like a big threat has been neutralized with these two events.

Update: supposedly two more terrorist who refuse to surrender in a nearby house. A drone is in play as well to neutralize them.

Interesting comments on the news.
This guy was supposed to die during the attacks. Probably got cold feet. So he likes living.
News was indicating, logically for once, that higher ups talk less (probably more committed, etc). If this guy is a lower level, he might talk more (plus the whole not dying thing).
Since he has been on the loose for a while, there has to be some resources dedicated to shelter him, so he probably has good info on the local resources in Belgium.
If I was fanatical and ruthless, I think logically, you would have had him killed since he did not die during the attacks. Take the heat off. The French kept looking for him, so him being alive brought unnecessary heat.

To me it seems, he got cold feet in Paris, but IS didn´t want to ditch him yet (kill him), because he stayed loyal to the cause in his ideology. Then they planned attacks in Brussels with some of the remaining elements (the Algerian that died, the one who is arrested now as well and perhaps the two who are under siege now), but the state of emergency of Belgium made them postphone their actions (massive police force in the streets, army at strategic points etc.).
And now while they were waiting in hiding for another big attack, most likely in coordination with other sleeping cells throughout Europe, as IS always stated they will attack in large and simultaneously Western society, through a coincidence and luck they got intercepted and dismantled.
So it would not be unlikely that in coming days we will see police operations in the whole continent and perhaps even attacks, since the other cells might be semi-compromised.

Apparently, there was a huge delay in the funeral of the brother of the guy who was caught today. The guy died during the Paris attack. The funeral happened yesterday. The police used it as an opportunity to gather intelligence.
I guess that stuff on TV shows is actually used.

Brave won't let me paste a link here, but apparently one of the guns used in the attacks has been tracked back to Phoenix, with possible involvement and knowledge by Eric Holder of the Fast and Furious program.
