Been on here since early last year and havn't posted much due to work commitments, but I've learnt alot from RVF and the self-improvement aspect of the game.

I find RVF way more useful than the MRA and MGTOW forums. Some of the dudes on there (not all ofc), are just too bitter to work on the self-improvement needed.

That's what Roosh's "neomasculinity" movement is all about. It has nothing to do with walking away, giving up, avoiding women. It's about perseverance, becoming the best version of yourself, and finding where you can thrive.

There are a lot of new threads over the past few days with titles that aren't well thought out, unsuitable, click-bait like, duplicating things, sometimes bordering on trollish, and regarding topics that don't merit their own threads. Also, like during the Canada fiasco last summer I've noticed, lots of sleeper accounts have become active again in the last few days after a long dormancy period with requests for pm's to be sent to them.

Please remember the red banner is still at the top, and we all still need to be cautious especially with the hacking threat from the other day.

This thread needs a BIG...

I think the moderation here should institute a stealth ban system.

What it would entail is that the user is "shadowed" in a way. Only the mods can see their posts and their name and everything appears normal to everyone. So they don't even know their banned. The only tip off would be that no one posts in or likes their threads. The beauty of this is that the mods would have plausible deniability if the person emailed them with something like "why doesn't anyone post in my threads" the mods could say something along the lines of "that subject has already been covered in threads xyz so no one bothered replying" or "maybe you should cool it with the thread spam and maybe people will start participating in your threads.

THis isn't something we would have used against established posters, but only against those virulent trolls who continuously reappear time and time again (rickywax/skipsteps). It would be a last ditch effort to shut these people out by just making them bored.

I will be checking my PMs weekly, so you can catch me there. I will not be posting.

I keep writing long posts on mobile in discussions related to the meetings only to be presented with a block screen, I guess it's safe to assume I can't engage in the discussion anywhere regarding them.

It feels like a catch 22 that I can't discuss current events because I haven't proved my legitimacy, yet I can't prove my legitimacy by discussing current events. However I also understand that all possible precautions must be taken in order to maximise damage control, and I really appreciate the care taken to explain things rather than just hand out mass bans.

Thank you RVF.

Edit: Ah, no block screen. Interesting piece of software.

Have you really been waiting 6 months in the shadows to make that 1st post joke, or has the forum already been hacked ?

It's the same for me I wrote a longer part for the European topic but get the blocked site everytime, must be something about the rights, because I'm able to post here.

I'm just someone who takes his time for everything, but the 100% lying of the news everywhere just created the inner motivation to participate more.. Not the best time without posts or rep points.

DCist story has counter-protestors claiming they have "people on the inside" with accounts.

Though, if that is the case, they have bad info. Two DC protests still planned, because they are convinced the meeting is still taking place.

I tried posting before, but there was some barrier like a lock screen or an error screen. Or maybe there was restrictions on sign ups and I couldn't even create the account till after the Canada BS. Either way I stopped caring and forgot about it till the recent jimmy rustling.

The forum's security has been increased since the controversy. Posts with lots of brackets and the like can be blocked due the forum thinking its code exploiting vulnerabilities.

Keep your posts shorter and simpler and you should be fine.

Have you considered that some of these "sleeper" accounts are just people who registered a while back, and got pulled back in by recent media attention? I reactivated my account so that I could post in that thread regarding Feb 6 meetup proof. This sort of phenomenon will happen any time you have media attention, but not all of the new recruits will be trolls.

No one here is particularly worried that there are dozens of low post sleeper accounts run by feminists.

What isn't exciting is the sudden re-activation of dozens of low post accounts commandeered by individuals with strong opinions and zero grasp of how things operate around here.

As one example, this thread was starting by a low post count individual who was completely unaware of a very simple forum rule. When I pointed out to him that he'd created a thread that was virtually identical to threads already in existence, he responded with this.

Take the time to learn the rules and prove yourself to the membership. There's no standard procedure for this, but if you treat other members with respect and contribute value, you'll be well received.

Every time our forum gets media attention, there's always a bunch of accounts with zero history that suddenly come alive. These guys have already had plenty of opportunity to contribute to the forum, but couldn't be bothered. However, as soon as something "exciting" happens, they run up a small post count, only to slink away and disappear as soon as things return to normal.

This forum is all about men communicating and learning from each other. We've been doing that for years. There are forum members around the globe that I talk to on the phone every week. There's a great community here and those who have put the effort into helping to build it are gaining a lot of benefit from having done so.

So don't be surprised if you are met with skepticism when come in here with a low or non-existent post count in the middle of a media frenzy and try to piggyback on the excitement of being a part of a living, breathing community when you have no skin in the game.

I'm new to this forum (not new to Roosh or ROK) & love this thread. Anybody real who has been living/thinking with the right philosophy long enough should have appreciation when they see something has to be earned & not given for free.

I'm glad I came across this thread. I joined in May '13, but normally go months without visiting. This forum is like a firehose. Lots to keep up with. I figured it was time to look up the rules.

I personally think the most important rule is respect upon entering. Seems obvious, seems something which would be apparent to everyone but it isn't, point blank.

Something which has really drawn me to this forum are the standards the community holds itself to, a self-policing community at that. The text speak, the drive-by posts, the drive-by insults, the constant one-liners you see elsewhere, largely absent from RVF.

So I treat this place as I would if I was sitting down to dinner in my girlfriend's house for the first time, meeting her family. Get your bearings, figure out the lay of the land, remain respectful but firm in your beliefs, when you say something, make sure it has value.

This is a forum which trends against the momentum of modern social media and internet communication in general. It's a trip back in time to where men cared about how they come across, were thoughtful, respectful, accountable for their words, their actions, were alpha, could banter back and forth about intelligent and interesting topics without worrying about political correctness and offending. I greatly value that. I encourage any new poster to put value in that too.

Modern communication is becoming as ugly as a fat man who had too much Mexican food. There is no longer value in what one says and accountability has been lost. There is no thought, no critical thinking. There's not even a basic and elementary respect for the English language.

Aside from respect, read up on Roosh. Read up and familiarize yourself with what he's done, his mindset, his general point of views, his life experiences. It's easy to find whether here, on ROTK or youtube. If you understand Roosh and your personal beliefs trend towards his, you should do well here. If they don't, you probably won't.

I found this place after spending time in Bulgaria. I came home and was debating the differences between American and Bulgarian women. Seemed like two different species. I googled "why are Eastern European women better than American women" and this forum came up immediately. Started reading and was pulled in. I knew my beliefs, my frame of mind would vibe with most here.
