Broads are getting their validation and attention whoring fix through social media.

Their growing population of Muslims don't attend clubs.
And for the rest, maybe they've realized chasing tail in anglo clubs is a waste of time.

Who wants to attend those places full packed of fat, tattoed, farting, drunk women? Oh, I forgot they call them 'ladettes'!
With God's help, I'll conquer this terrible affliction.
By way of deception, thou shalt game women.

I find myself without sympathy for UK nightclubs:
*Staff treating people as prison inmates rather than customers;
*Horrendous gender imbalances
*Packing in people as much as the fire officer allows;
*Overpriced cover and drink charges
*Clubs tend to harm daytime businesses and neighbouring residences
*Dangerously loud music (shown to create anxiety and a sense of isolation to cause people to drink more) makes socialising impossible

Good, i'd like over half of the night clubs in America to collapse as well. I hate clubs.
Whatever happened to a laid back lounge atmosphere where the music isn't resonating with my chest cavity?
Remove cover charges and lower the price of booze. Anything less then they deserve what comes to them.

I know a few promoters around Toronto. They all say the same things.
"It's harder to get people out now more than ever".
"It's become pretty difficult to get girls out even with free cover and comped drinks".
"The bottles are becoming harder to sell".
In addition to gender imbalances, bitchy girls, and clubs becoming expensive (for the men), the City Council in Toronto is also killing a bunch of clubs by selling prime downtown land to condo developers. Combine that with a 2am last call and shitty transit it's not hard to see why the club industry is also struggling in Toronto. The nightclubs are also definitely going through a decline in Toronto and the surrounding areas.

I see it as a lack of discretionary income. Times are hard.

No surprise here, if anything I thought more would have closed.
The effect of social media on changing society behaviour and inflating the values of all females has not even registered yet with main street.
Only sites like this understand the changes that have already happened.

Has anyone considered joining a private members' lounge bar? There are a few of them appearing in my locality and they are more like the 1960s bar with networking.

Private lounges are where it's at. I was considering joining a Freemason Lodge. Not for picking up chicks, but for the networking and self improvement angles.

I think I agree with Rudimental saying how they go in cycles. Many of the nightclubs that were around during the 90s had never adapted to changes in music tastes. So people migrated to clubs that did, losing trade for those that failed to adapt. That's part of the reason as to why they are becoming less popular, least based on number of clubs. Figures that showed annual attendance over a large period of time would be helpful to know. Example over 30 years so you can see the cycle that the businesses go through.
In the UK there is one particular bar that sells food throughout the day and in the evenings clear the tables and brings in a DJ that are very popular. Are these classified as clubs? I doubt it. The number of dedicated nightclubs may have decreased but more alternative venues have appeared.
Something worth noting though is the decrease in traditional pubs. Granted these establishments are for an older crowd but it is those citizens that have a larger amount of available disposable income. They've decreased by as much as 10,000. It is only natural that nightclubs would take a hit too. However the UK economy is strengthening and the government statistics are showing an increase in wages and as a by product and increased disposable income. It is only a matter of time that they will become more popular again.
This is just from a very crude economic perspective though.

When I worked in the UK on an IT contract I was rather shocked to see no tipping - I tried to tip a one pound coin on a drink and the lad thought I was trying to get him in trouble with management.
We all know bit tits get big tips and clubs have a short one or two year lifecycle whereas pubs can last a lot longer... so no tipping means no hot chix bar tenders or waitresses... beer gardens were not too bad - they did say the private clubs that the ballers (futbollers) joined had the hottest chix though one night I had one too many Martinins and was in a two story warehouse type club with one of the hottest Stockholm looking blondes in a braless halter top, miniskirt and sexy high heels introduced herself and I was basically out of commission - go figure. Most of the men between Liverpool and Manchester hated each other due to futbol rivalries yet many spoke longingly about Stockholm, Sweden and its attractive women compared to Big Buxom Blighty British goers...

whoa, a lot of assumptions here. Not to mention the fat laddette remark. Yes there are fatties but nothing like what you are led to believe.
The nightclub scene here has flaws, one of which the location has everything to do with it.
London
Bar the exception of high-end clubs the entry fee's are astronomical. In Corporation Sheffield I would pay £6 for a friday night entry. Same goes for Satans basement in Manchester.
London's average clubs would be £20 or more just for entry and at least £10 for drinks inside.
These places do not run on large profits and nightclubs being cyclical it will either close, become re branded or carry on at a loss.
Elsewhere
Bouncers in manchester and Leeds are a reason not to go to a place. They either deny you entry for clothing, for looking drunk, not liking you or basically because there are too few girls inside.
There is a step going up to a club in Leeds and I tripped on it slightly. Immediately upon getting to the front I am took aside and told I am drunk and should come back later. I was more coherent than sober people and knew it was bullshit.
This "too drunk" bullshit isn't where you are rolling over and your eyes look both ways, it is merely an excuse to prevent someone going in who wouldn't buy drinks and if you look like you have a buzz on you its game over if the bouncer doesn't like you.
Other factors
- Smart phones ruined it. Even the clubs I have mentioned have anywhere from 50-100 people or more glued to their fucking smart phones
- Tinder has had an impact on easy hookups. A girl could be all fucked out by the time its friday or she is chasing dick that night through other means and she is meeting him there or at a bar
- Less people. There are more people who through reasons of race, culture, religion or sheer hatred for clubs will not go to them. Every year you lose people and gain fewer.
In the end it doesn't really matter because things change. Girls will move to things like Tinder more often and lose the ability to meet guys face to face and get horny on the spot.
One advantage I love about night game is the opportunity to eye fuck each other, kiss and fuck afterwards. It'll be a shame for many guys growing up now to miss that because its a good part of growing up and becoming a man.

A slight contrarian perspective - I'm a fan of the UK music, and UK club music is far superior to the garbage Top-40/EDM churned out by the DJs in America. This is bad for the music scene across the globe, as the UK have been at the forefront in underground music for quite some time now. you might be surprised, especially my fellow Americans, but some people go to the clubs for the music.

I can't stand night clubs or the "music" they play. Close them all for all I care and replace them with good live music venues!
