A cheap way of getting around Las Vegas is by their bus system. I've used it before and it costs $2 one-way. So, if you really want to save money getting from the airport to your hotel, this is one way to do it. So, you would think that Las Vegas would make it easy by having a bus route that goes from the airport straight up the Strip? Unfortunately, if you thought that, you would be wrong. For whatever reason, it's kind of a pain in the arse.
To get to the strip, one way is to take
Route 109 from Terminal 1 to the South Strip Transfer Terminal, which is located on the
opposite side of the airport from the Strip. There you can grab one of the two
Strip buses.
A different way to get to the Strip, and downtown, is the
Westcliff Airport Express. It makes a stop when it crosses the Strip at Tropicana, and you can presumably switch to the Strip buses there.
You all are probably aware of this already, but another way to cut costs on transportation is to share a taxi ride. When you exit the hotel after checking out, ask if anyone else in the taxi queue is alone and if they'd like to share a cab with you. If no one's alone, just stand there for awhile until someone solo walks up.
If you really want to save money, then staying downtown is the way to go. You can often get a suite for the same price as one of the worst rooms at one of the Strip resorts. Downtown hotels, however, also usually charge the dreaded "resort fee." Of course, the logistics are not helpful, unless you're gaming the locals, who usually hang out downtown.
You can pipeline in Las Vegas using dating sites or dating apps. In fact, from what I understand, some of the local women like meeting up with tourists or conventioneers and trying to have a night out on the town at the visiting chump's expense. Knowing game, however, should help you get something out of it at minimal cost if you decide to go that route. The thing is, is Vegas a good travel option if you just want to game locals?
