Yeah, maybe I'm jaded since I'm from the Northwest and am in Seattle alot. I find them a little off. Usually do best with midwesterners, Arizona and SoCal girls.

Okay, continuing on regarding the topic of the thread. I would emphasize that the biggest cost for anybody on any budget is OPPORTUNITY COSTS. I know this is pretty obvious and maybe I'm posting this more to emphasize this for myself but unless you know pretty damn sure the girl you're investing time with is gonna put out later, no matter how hot or cute she is, you're better off moving on. I've already had two instadates while I've been here but haven't closed the deal. They were both lone wolves and were okay with my extended handholding off introduction and like to drink (two of my personal filters) but in hindsight, they're weren't THAT DOWN, or at least at that moment in time and/or with me. Keep in mind this is also from daytime approaches.

@Drazen - Thanks again man for all the tips, especially the badge one. I've been wearing it the whole afternoon and can see the benefit. It does give me some "cred" on some level, especially since I'm rolling solo as it's for work. Also, regarding proximity to Omnia. You know your shit.

After reading Drazen's other comment regarding hotel proximity for hunting grounds, I was reminded of my thoughts in my Hawaii thread and I think there are many similarities. You should hunt within 5-10 min of your hotel room to make pulling easier. But if you're on a budget and can't stay at the top hotels like Comsopolitan, MGM Grand, Wynn, Cesars for their top tier clubs, try to find next best thing via a cheaper hotel that is within 5-10 min of one of the major hotels. That way you can leverage the more popular hotel/club's traffic flows.

In the Linq hotel, there is a liquor store at the bottom where you can get white wine for $12 and a large beer for $6. So for $20, you're covered for alcohol to have back at your hotel room. I'd recommend both wine and beer as the girl I was with last night loved beer but in the past, have met several girls who got horny after drinking white wine. I think there's even some study proving that somewhere. So why not have all your bases covered.

I can also confirm there is a decent food court at the bottom of Ballys. I've been eating Subway sandwich non-stop for the last day and if you buy a gift card for $25, you can get a free 6 inch so another way to save on cash.

Lastly, I completely forgot about this but my total hotel fee was about $240 but the hotel charges a deposit ON TOP OF THAT, so they took out about $450 and will return the rest after I check out. For those of you where budget is a non-issue, this is trivial but if you're on a strict budget, those precious few $$$ will sting so keep that in mind.

Oh, one more thing. When I went to check out the front of Omnia last night, I met one of their promoters and he said he could pretty much hook up any night at Omnia, Hakkasan and maybe even Wet Republic EXCEPT FOR FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS so if any of you want his info, PM me and I'll send you his contact info.

The best deal at Ballys is the Sbarro's combo meal with the calzone, side and drink for under 10 bucks I think. haha. The best place to buy booze on the strip is the ABC store (Hawaiian chain), there's one in Planet Hollywood's mall and one in the Fashion Show mall. Walgreens is ok, but they inflate their prices pretty aggressively. There's a CVS on the strip too I forget the pricing there.

It was pretty uneventful, for me at least. I only went out on fight night and as I posted before, I woke up in a pool of my own vomit surrounded by piles of 100 dollar bills. I did get to meet warder, who is a solid guy.

I think this may have been discussed in the past, but can one earn Total Rewards Points or M-life points by getting bottle service, etc?

No, because Hakkasan and Omnia is not apart of Caesar or MGM, I tried this also[Image: confused.gif]

There is a cheap Strip Club in North Vegas that is pretty good. It's named Chicas Bonitas. Most of the girls are Latinas. Private dances were only $35.

Thanks. I'll keep that place in mind, although I'm not into lap dances. I should have gone to Las Vegas this weekend, but I didn't trust my instincts.

Just came back from Vegas and here are some additional thoughts.

POOL PARTIES ROCK!!!! Going to my first Vegas pool party was the first time I can remember probably in my whole life where the US was better than international countries just due to the amount of hot cute girls walking around in bikinis, all drunk and dancing. I have hope for America now haha. But the question is how to close them if you don't have a room at that specific place.

Drazen was spot on regarding the alcohol at the ABC store. You can find wine there for under $10 where the cheapest elsewhere I found was around $13 (for crappier wine selection) although I would point out that the beers weren't that much of a difference so if you're located far from the ABC, just buying a beer won't kill the bank. As for Fukuburger, I did see one at the Hawaiian area near MGM and the Shake Shack is also near there. Both will set you back around $10 or more but I'd argue for those of us on a super tight budget, that Subway is the better value as you'll be eating a hamburger isn't as nutritious as the turkey or chicken sandwiches which will give you more fuel throughout the day.

What I really like about Vegas is they have a 24 hour bus called the Deuce, which basically changes everything if you can't stay on the main strip. You can try to find a cheaper place near one of the Deuce stops. I'm actually considering moving to Vegas so am currently trying to find a place near a Deuce stop but what sucks is apparently you have to have a Nevada ID to use their $65 monthly pass. Does anybody know if they're strict about checking ID?

Also, related note, does anybody here have good strategy on how to close AT THE GIRL'S HOTEL ROOM? If you're on a budget, you might not have the logistics to pull back to your pad so having a good strategy on how to close at the girl's hotel room would be helpful. As I typed this, one idea that popped in my head was having a good bottle of wine with you and if you meet a girl who's keen for an instadate, you could filter out the ones who don't like to drink and focus on the ones that do, and do an old school false time contraint that you could drink at her hotel for 20 min before going out on the town (which you hopefully won't since you'll be banging her)

Oh, one last tip that I did by accident. In addition to the Deuce bus, there's an SDX bus that runs along the strip that's really nice (compared to some of the fucked up ones I've ridden in SF and LA) where you have to pay before going on. It costs $6 for a 2 hour ride. If you took the Bolt Bus from LA, you'll end up at the South Terminal bus station where you'll have to take the SDX to get to the strip. Nobody checked if I paid or not and you can't pay when you're on the bus so that's another way to save cash although it's a risk if you get caught but again, it didn't happen to me the two times I rode it. If they do catch you, just play it naive that you didn't know you couldn't pay on the bus since you're visiting from out of town.

To take a girl back to her room, you usually need a wing to distract any of her roommates she is splitting the room with. If you find out she is logistically closer than you are, you can just be up front and say "lets just go to your room" if she's DTF especially if its just upstairs. Or have a joint and see if she wants to smoke it up in her room.

Something perhaps to focus on and test out for the future, though.

Las Vegas on the Cheap

Duhh.. great idea regarding the joint. If she's DTF, she'll be down. I'll try and come back soon to test it out. Also, great idea regarding the wing as I was focusing on lone wolves which narrows down the options but they're there.

I'm feelin Vegas now. I need that constant hit of energy and it's nice to know even on a Monday or Tuesday, it's there. If I can do some daygame for even an hour or two in that vibe, it recharges me vs LA where it's a hassle just to get to downtown and it's nowhere as exciting as the strip in Vegas

Another thing you can do to steer her is the old "let's gamble at your hotel" trick if you're at a nearby hotel. Well, just find out where she's staying, and if you know the hotels well enough, you say "Well, I love Cleopatra's Barge (at Ceasars Palace for example)" and try to get her to switch venues to that spot and isolate. You have to know what's in the hotel or google it on your phone once you find out where she's staying.

I think I've said this before, but I always use the 24 hour diner at my hotels as bait if its good. I.e. "Let's grab some food at The Grand Luxe Cafe", and you go there and its a line. It so happens the Grand Luxe Cafe entrance is RIGHT NEXT to the Elevators to the rooms at Venetian. Logistics for the win. I have gotten girls up by saying "lets just go up to my room and order room service, it'll be much faster".

You can try that with a girl if she's staying at a specific hotel. "Lets go to the ____ diner there" Or hell, google ANY restaurant in the hotel, say its open until 4am or something (even though its not) and say they have the best food ever. When you go there, its closed, just used the "let's just order roomservice upstairs" trick.

Another way to isolate is to take her to the dance floor, naturally then try to slip outside. Its REALLY easy to lose people in Vegas and that is to your advantage, but again your logistics need to be airtight, a cab ride is often a game killer.

I've had several situations where I was in conversation with two girls at once without a wing at a hotel bar and their room was upstairs and was feeling a down to fuck vibe with one, but its hard to separate them or hell, harder to choose which girl to focus on. Maybe if two girls are in vegas, they are more down for a threesome if you can play your cards right, but I'm never in the right frame of mind for that.

I guess one thing you can do is try to get the other girl so wasted that she passes out or something and needs to go to the room, but then that kind of defeats the "Vegas on the Cheap" thing.

This is not exactly Vegas on the cheap but with the horrible ratio's and ultra-expensive clubs in Vegas and with the need for hyper, bro game why not get the fuck out of the strip and hit up Red Rock Hotel and Casino? It is only 10 miles from the strip and I hear that's where the locals go to party.

Also, for those willing to rent a car any recommendations in terms of heading south for an hour or so to Laughlin, Nevada? Any skanks worth picking up there?

I personally think (and I've said since last year) that the pool parties are getting WAY too popular for their own good. This is Wet Republic about 2 weeks ago. Look at the Ratio.

[Image: Screen_Shot_2015_06_22_at_10_10_47_PM.png]

and then bro's start doing this, getting piss water in your drink and chasing the hot bitches out of the pool.

[Image: Screen_Shot_2015_06_22_at_10_10_13_PM.png]

They seriously need to lock these pools down and not have them be so shitty like this. This is how Rehab went down the shitter, it was seriously the best pool party ever by far in its hey day. Sure, there are hot girls there, 90% of them don't go in the pool though, they just hang at the cabanas nowadays.

If they aren't partying there, you're shit out of luck and in the middle of no where. To me, its like going to an Indian Casino to Party, I've never been but I imagine it'd be kind of like that.

So the bigger pool parties are out of question due to being so overcrowded and with terrible ratios. What about "private" pools like Bare at Mirage which advertises itself as an adults only topless (European) pool or Marquee dayclub at Cosmopolitan? i would be somewhat intimidated to hit on topless girls in g-strings but I would think that if a girl is willing to be that exposed she must be easy, anyone have luck in this type of setting?

Just don't go if its an A-list DJ. I love Encore Beach, just not when someone like Kaskade is making it impossible to do something. If its a b-list DJ act, then its usually pretty good (Sundays are good). Just go early (like noon, just sip bloody marys for a while, that's what I usually do to wake up) the ratios and quality are great and its still not crowded. When it gets crowded, you have to basically resort to caveman game in the pool.

I've never been to Bare, but I'd imagine its pretty terrible.

THats insane. When I lived in Vegas, I had a few friends who worked at WR. I actually even got a table comp there (well, a producer friend of mine and I did together, probably more for him). It had maybe one half the number of people there - that situation looks totally miserable to me.

I'm in Vegas this week, which is a down week as EDC was last weekend. I tend to like the civilized pools better, but of the parties, if thats how WR is nowadays, its worse than I've ever seen Rehab. I'd rather just hit the normal pools at the better hotels and skip the pool parties. There are plenty of girls at some of these normal hotel pools as well, and its not particularly hard to scam your way into some of them.

I'm going to Wet Republic on Sunday. Bad logistics as I'm just killing time before my 8pm flight back to LA. I have to find a girl with a room if I hook up. The last time I went to wet republic, the pool seemed like a bunch of midwest dorks trying to get "too hyped" for Vegas. Yeah, I like the more chill, laid back atmosphere which only really happens early like before 2pm.

Vegas, Cancun, SF. Been to all 3 so trip is for swooping only

I stay away from MDW and LDW. I did Labor Day Weekend a few years ago, its just way too crowded and overpriced. Lots of NYers and East Coast guido types in town. There are a lot of hot girls though, but also bad crowds all over the place.

In vegas for about a week, this trip. I imagine this point may have been made, but I'll make sure.

Vegas hotel rooms vary drastically in cost during the week, with Saturdays being highest, Fridays second highest (though still a decent notch lower than Saturdays) and then the rest of the week, especially Sunday through Tuesday and Wednesday being often as much as 65-70 percent less than Saturday at the same hotel.

As a result if you're coming around and staying over a period that has low-rate days and high-rate days, it can make a lot of sense to move around to keep rates in check. I don't value staying on the strip enough to pay $400 for a weekend night typically, and I'm actually reimbursed for the most part of all my stays in Vegas by an employer (I don't like to blow their money in general, and they have never questioned a single expense of mine).

As those who read my travel thread know, I also chase points and status with the Starwood, Hyatt and IHG, so that also influences my choices.

A strategy for a guy rolling in for a standard Wed-Sunday type trip could be to stay in a major hotel from Wed-Friday, when rates are low, and then consider downshifting unless location is super important for you. I know many guys believe that pulling would be impossible if you're off-strip, but taxi rides are fucked from the major casinos weekend nights anyway, so to me, I'm driving. And once that's begun, 10 minutes to a strip hotel or 15 minutes to a non-strip hotel will make little difference. I'm sure others may disagree.

For a single night between the Westin Flamingo (Wed- Saturday - around 115 before resort fees) and Caesars Mini-Suite (today, Sunday, (chosen largely for the pool access) til next Wed, around 134 before resort fees and internet fees (really??)), I stayed at a surprisingly nice IHG property, Staybridge. Its rather close to the In N Out Burger that fronts the 15, and its directly across the 15 from the Mandalay Bay.

For 149/night on a Saturday, without any resort fee, when most hotels were showing rates 250-400 (MGM properties e.g.) before resort fees, I got a quite large suite with a full kitchen, big living room, dining table, separate bedroom and a bath/shower.

Clearly the room could easily be split by two or more guys without feeling too cramped. NB: I have an IHG credit card ($49 annual fee, among other things, gives free upgrades) and so this is an upgraded suite, but all the rooms are suites with separate bedrooms.

There's a similar IHG property which borders the strip more closely, near the Hard Rock, called Candlewood. Its around the same price on Saturday nights, and is one notch lower on the IHG scale - Staybridge is a bit nicer standard, but that location, closer to the strip and Wet Republic, may work better for some guys.

One other quick note - I've a Nevada license as I used to live here - its sometimes possible to get a resort fee waived for "locals." They've done it for me at the Vdara.
