If you're looking for cheap bars and lounges, checkout out downtown (Fremont Street). Everything there is much cheaper than on the strip.

Favorites:

Downtown Cocktail Room - A speakeasy lounge with a rotating menu of specialty cocktails
Gold Spike - Old hotel casino that has been turned into a chill bar with games and large outside area. Standard DJ club music inside, live music outside.
Commonwealth - Another pretty cool bar.

You can try gaming up and down Fremont street but the talent is hit and miss. A lot of weirdos, drug addicts and homeless people also hang out there but it's usually crowded.

@invictusiii, I'm staying in downtown Vegas next month for a weekend. Would you recommend nightgame at Gold Spike or are there any other better places on Fremont?

Gold Spike is my preferred place to night game on Freemont. Saturdays are usually the best but Fridays can be good as well. There will be a lot of local talent and college students with some tourists as well.

Bumping this for an update

The posts from the past year don't sound encouraging.. is it even worth it anymore?

I'm contemplating a quick trip, but it seems like you have to be ready to drop at least 500 a day (not including airfare/hotel) to even have access to the cream of the crop these days. I would be rolling "dolo" so table service or cabana would be out of the question. I'm going to pull the plug on the idea if the reality now days is that the only groups attainable without some serious bankroll is a bunch of edm dorks and low quality girls.

Would particularly love to hear from Drazen or anyone who's been there within the past few months.

I was there last month (early December)

If anyone doesn't know... Dec. is National Finals Rodeo time in Vegas.
So if you are into cowgirls, tight jeans, and that whole western scene...

I STRONGLY recommend!

I actually haven't been for like 18 months. The whole EDM concert masquerading as a club got boring. The pool parties let everyone and anyone in, way past capacity. It just wasn't as fun as it was.

I may hit it up, possibly during the MAGIC convention (fashion industry) if I can hook up some party access. I was looking at St. Paddy's Day weekend as well but its pretty expensive, so I'm thinking its also March Madness kickoff.

I was just up there twice in the summer and going back again this month. The club scene has become really concentrated, especially on off weekends or weeknights. For the hottest girls, you're choosing between Omnia and Hakkassan, and both of those clubs, especially Hakk, are much better with a table since the place becomes like a can of sardines after midnight. XS is my personal favorite and remains a solid club, but it has been coming down as they've lost a lot of their top DJs, and in the winter when it's cold the outside area can be dead. Aside from those 3, the choices aren't great. Surrender, Marquee, and Drais would probably be "Tier 2" and all 3 are pretty bad now. I haven't tried Jewel but I heard it's pretty small.

I still think Vegas is do-able on the cheap whether solo or in a group. Hotel rooms aren't ever too expensive, club covers are $30 if you buy in advance (to be fair, they have been going up... Calvin Harris will run $70+ but I don't think that's necessary), and if you pre-drink before going out you probably won't need to spend too much on alcohol. The biggest potential cost is getting a table, which will run $1K+ at any worthwhile club. Is that worth it? I don't think so. I'll admit that from my experience, the baddest girls (9s and above) are borderline inaccessible without a table, but you won't be getting them with a table either unless you have really tight game. There's lots of dudes in Vegas that have money and are buying tables and running "high roller" game. Unless you have something to separate yourself from that pack, you're better off roaming the club. At the 3 top spots, you can run laps all night and not run out of the chicks to talk to.

To answer your question: While the true cream of the crop is admittedly tough to get at without a table, remember, it's still Vegas. There's always cute girls coming in big groups for bachelorette parties, graduation, girls weekend, etc, and a lot of these girls aren't from big cities so they aren't necessarily in tune with their value, at least not immediately. They don't know that all they need to do is send a text for a promoter for him to hook their entire group up with an all-expenses paid table at Omnia (this actually happens regularly esp on off-weekends). They don't know there's rich Arab dudes at the club willing to PAY them real money just to hang out at their table (this happens also). If you're a guy who's got some game and can play up the fun vibe, you can pull chicks like this without needing to throw cash around.

Google nocovernightclubs. They can usually get you into most clubs for free if you show up around 10:30.

The prices of flights and hotel rooms for March Madness are the highest I have ever seen, which I don't completely get. I have to be there for the Golovkin fight, which is on March 18. Airfare is much cheaper if I get there on the afternoon of the 18th and leave around Tuesday the 21st. Hotel rooms are at least slightly cheaper that way. I now have to be somewhere on the morning of the 17th, so I don't have much of a choice.

I have a question for some of the Las Vegas experts on here. I often go on Hotwire looking for hotel deals. You can sometimes get good deals on hotels on there and you can sometimes end up in hotels you don't want to stay in. It's a bit of a crapshoot and I have booked hotels on there a total of four times in three cities with mixed results. I was on there recently and saw a hotel on the strip for that weekend in March for a ridiculously low price. Peanuts. Way less than the resort fee. I booked it thinking I was getting a slightly better hotel. The hotel I got is owned by Caesars, but is definitely not a place where I want to stay. My question is would it be possible when I get there to upgrade to Caesars Palace, the Paris, or even Planet Hollywood? I would be willing to pay more, maybe much more. With March Madness and Spring Break all going on, I know it's going to be a complete shit show during that time. Hopefully, this time no fat kooks from the Inland Empire will try to fight me at the sportsbook.

Are you using a site like "Better Bidding"? I'm not really into Hotwire, but I have friends who have mastered it. They figure out what the hotels they will end up at by subtracting amenities and features on the filters and playing with the star rating system. It really takes the guessing on where you'll eventually end up. I'm too impatient for that, I just do a search on Kayak then book direct with the hotel based on price while logged into their rewards account. The thing is when you're on these bidding sites, the Front Desks know and they put you in crappier rooms or are less friendly to any free upgrades or schmoozing to get stuff.

As to your question, I would probably say no. I think their booking systems are all separate. They won't have any flexibility especially since you essentially prepaid for your room already.

Did you get the Property Formerly Known as the Imperial Palace (aka The Linq)? I remember back in the day we would go and book rooms there for like 30-40 bucks a night on Summer weekends, no resort fees and we'd have a damned hot tub with a mirrored ceiling in there. Me and my friends would each have our own room/mini-suite, it was pretty awesome. Ghetto as hell though, but your confidence goes up when you know you have your own room to yourself without having to share it with anyone. Its improved alot though but yeah, tons of midwest and IE up in there. The Casino Royale Bar or O'Shea's is a cheap place to knock back a few whisky cokes before heading into any of the nightclubs for 1/4 of the price.

I stayed there when it was the Quad and when it was the Linq too. It was incremetly getting better but when I went to my friend's room at Aria, you could tell just all the girls walking in the casino where all hot versus non-existant at the crappy casino.

Thanks. That's what I thought. It seems as though upgrading to a suite in the same hotel would also be difficult, since I went to the hotel website and couldn't even book a suite since the hotel was so full. It may actually be good that weekend due to all the spring breakers, but I'm definitely not counting on it.

Try the $20 trick (maybe with a $50 or a C-note) to upgrade the room. Some of them are automated now, but you never know, they'll give it back to you if they can't help you out.

You never know. Years ago, when I first started getting back on my feet, I booked a room at a hotel in Miami, which wasn't a dump, but wasn't a really desirable place to stay. I sent them a money order (at that point in my life, I had no other means of payment) for $400.00 for five nights, including everything. When I got there, they told me that I had been upgraded to a suite. This wasn't just a suite. This was like a whole really nice two bedroom apartment, which would easily go for thousands a night. Probably one of the nicest rooms anywhere in Miami. I guess they were overbooked. I have no other possible explanation.

The aggregator sites like Hotwire/Expedia get a solid chunk of the rate when people book through their sites. In some instances, it's near 25%. By getting a ridiculously low price, you're already a loss-leader for the hotel. So they're very unlikely to give you any sort of special consideration on top of that. Of course, if you're charming or wave "upgrade money" around you might be able to pull something off, but I wouldn't bank on any type of certainty with that.

In the future, if you're looking to save cash on short stays, I'd suggest signing up for either the Chase Hyatt or Chase IHG card. Both give you one free night at Hyatt (MGM) or IHG (Venetian/Palazzo) properties and you get a decent amount of points as a sign up bonus to tack on extra nights or use them in the future.

Going to revive this thread and probably use it for any Vegas data I feel is worth sharing.

Blue Martini was gold last night, just solid gold.

Now, the place used to be some kind of classy date and party spot, I think. All I hear about is locals saying how "it used to be". And I'll be honest, last night was pretty....ratchet.

BUT, I'll be damned, the place was packed with girls in groups scouting for dick. You know the sign...2 girls sitting at a bar looking bored, waiting for guys to approach. And most guys weren't approaching. I collected quite a few numbers, meeting one of them tonight, and probably could have gotten a ONS last night but I got too fucked up and had to bounce by 2am, right when things were getting rowdy (turnt up I guess I should say)

Monday is industry night, and there was every flavor, though not a lot of white girls (I'm perfectly fine with that) Lots of asians, latina, black girls. If Mondays are typically anything like last night I highly recommend.

If you're visiting Vegas and non-local it's pretty easy to get to from the strip, about a 10 minute Uber depending on where you're staying, and though I wasn't considering the whole cost factor now that I think about it drinks were pretty reasonable, way cheaper than what you'll pay for on the strip.

It does, I've heard that before, and seen it a few times, but that def wasn't the case last night. Most of the girls I talked to were early 20s last night

I went a few weeks ago for the first time in two years:

Clubs are still overpacked. Tables help tremendously, but are overpriced and you actually have to approach too many tables of guys standing around doing jack shit.

At Planet Hollywood there is a Backstreet Boys show. Make sure you are around there or go to Chateau nightclub around that time if there was a show. TONS of girls from all over the country and Canada were just out there for that specifically but you can still get up on em. Much better prospects than the frequent superpacks of SoCal/AZ girls that go there for free bottles.

Going two more times in the next two months, so hopefully have more insights.

Jewel: Pretty nice remodel. Crowd was better than last time I was there when it was the previous club.
Omnia: Way to packed. Only salvation is the outdoor patio but everyone was being stupid up there when I was up there. (rolled solo)
Hakkasan: Still gets the girls. The main floor is a total shitshow. Hip hop room is good but like any other regular club intown

Another thing I noticed is the death of the Lounge/bar in Vegas. Seems like they are trying to push people to the clubs so they are replacing cool bars with shitty chain restaurants and what not.

So if I were to go there and just get pre-drinks from like 7-9pm on a Thursday/Friday night before hitting the strip, you think it'd be a nice pop off spot? Looks like I should be hitting it up at 1-2am as well!

In my experience here nothing really gets going until about midnight. Anything pre-midnight is likely to be a complete sausagefest.

With that same buddy of mine, we hung out at the sport book at Caesars, which as you know is right next to Omnia. From 2-4am we just got shitfaced at the sports book, for relatively cheap (we hit on Keno a few times even), while spitting game at anything fuckable that walked out of the club. I hooked a hot Chinese girl but we got blocked by logistics (she was with 2 friends and they were staying at Wynn) It's a pretty solid strategy I think.

I pretty much won't do clubs anymore for reasons you've described. I've got a few hookups, I can get a free cabana at XS nightswim, but I almost never go.

Edit: as far as tables...I've had that same experience where even if you're at a table, navigating between them can be such a bitch and they're so counterintuitive to approaching...most hot girls these days are in packs at their own tables. I hate approaching groups of girls more than 4 so I don't bother.

The Seahorse Lounge used to be my spot, I loved it there. Just sit down, drink and smoke cigarettes and talk to whoever comes through that way. It closed though last year I think. Not a lot of places where you can just relax at the bar like that anymore.

They lounge at the Wynn where they had the live Sinatra singers was also a favorite.

I'm heading out to LV tomorrow... Can you guys give me some good Intel...

Staying at PH... Good looking male with two other dudes tht are decent looking as well (we all can pull off looks alone)

Usually, I just approach like a MoFo on the street.. I love approaching near the Bellagio Fountains bc thats where I find many just standing around and waiting for the next show...

Any tips and pointers to Bang Vegas would be appreciated!! lol

Its going to be too hot. I'd stay off the strip. I'm not a fan of strip game in general because its a bit ghetto. The entrance of Planet Hollywood has a ton of younger girls walking in and out. A lot of girls who are 18 but not old enough to get in a club hang around there, go to town.

Eat a steak at STK or hang at the bar. Good scene there.

Not sure, a lot of things depend on your age, bankroll and what you're looking for. Planet Hollywood has nice logistics. There are a few "club crawls" that originate thee. You can just hang in the bars there between 7 and 9:30p and try to pick the bored girls off before they leave for their crawls.

I'd probably check out Drai's, Chateau (low tier but by your hotel and sometimes it can surprise), Marquee Day Club. Don't wait in line, get presale passes if you can online.

Great logistics and if your target demographics is primarily Black/Hispanic/etc, then you should be good at those spots.
