Bye...seriously, I probably wouldn't even waste my time. I think a lot of women may say they are a feminist just because its kind of the in thing to way girl power and all that jazz but a women who truly views herself as a feminist. I had a professor like this in college, of course teaching some multicultural bullshit class you had to take to graduate.

This women would always talk about her partner, I for the longest time thought she was a lesbian but one day she mentioned something that let us know it was a guy. Someone asked her about this and she went into some rant about how bf and gf shows possessiveness and she is not anyones property so her significant other is her partner not her boyfriend or something like that.

We also got onto the topic of asking the father to marry the girl one day. OMG, this lady went on this long rant about how women are not property and she wouldn't allow or be with anyone who asked her fathers permission because she doesn't belong to anyone. I simply brought up to her that maybe that's where the tradition origionated but can't she just take it for what it is, showing respect for the father and a tradition and it doesn't mean someone is asking to own her and she almost bit my head off, hated me for the rest of the semester after that. I used to wear stupid tshirts to try to piss her off, I remember one day I wore a shirt that said "hawaiin girls gro the best coconuts" and she made me turn it inside out.

Point is feminists are not fun loving people, they are mad at the world turn little issues into huge deals, why would you want to spend anytime with one of them.

Usually that sort of comment is done to try to incite a response, potentially to disqualify you or start an idiotic debate giving her an excuse to spout-off all sorts of feminist ideologies.

It doesn't make sense, because even a feminist won't truly be attracted to a "male feminist", but wants replies parallel to what your average I-only-shop-at-Trader-joes-and-drink-organic-chai-tea-while-watching-orange-is-the-new-black type guy would say.

Some of the recommended replies are good, using a slight tone of sarcasm to acknowledge the comment is probably the best thing you can do.

If it gets into a debate reply with: "I've never really kept tabs on feminism". It's basically something so ridiculous you don't care to address it.

It'd be really hard for me to already be dating a full blown anti-men feminist in the first place, but if I'd just met the girl I'd suss her out, see what her thoughts are on it and for the future I would carefully watch her actions and see if they support.

The girl I'm dating right now may support feminism in a very fluff way, more in a self-improvement vein, not in the "down with men" vein. She'd never really be anti-men and her actions are very much in line with my desires and what I consider feminine so I don't even take a second to think about it anymore.

I don't discuss feminism with women I am trying to bang because it is a boring topic totally aside from my personal views on it. She may bring it up, but it is your job to recognize its not going to be fun to discuss and move on to something else...any of the above simple lines will work...something like... "I don't really spend much time on things like that, <move on to other more fun conversation that may lead to sex>". There is a broad range of topics like this that women will regularly bring up in conversation which they think they want to talk about but which will in reality bore them to death and drive them away if you let it go down that road...politics, work/job, etc.

Depends on the context.

Nowadays, if I haven't banged yet and I'm gaming her, I get the fuck out. Now, other girls who don't bring it up might subscribe to feminism too, but if some chick is compelled to bring it up while we're doing a dance of seduction, she's fucked in the head and I do not want her anywhere near my life. I don't say much, just "that's cool" and find an excuse to bounce.

If I've banged and have been hanging out with her for a while, this is part of her relationship compatibility shit test, and I immediately mentally stamp an expiry date on the relationship. I honestly ignore the content of anything and everything a girl has to say and only use the words, body language, and the tone of her voice as audio/visual cues. If she says she's a feminist it's about as important to me as her telling me she's a hairdresser, studying to be a nurse, a vegan etc.. it's all garbage in/out to me.
