Downtown is one of the new hot spots as well. Go down Main Street where market square is, there's a long strip of bars where you'll find the more mature 25-35 crowd compared to midtown. Midtown and downtown are my two favorite areas to go out and find women.

dude... my guess... and i've asked around and heard from others is that within 2-3 years that entire seciton will be walkable.

Either walkable or accessible by lightrail.

that whole area is loaded with 8's

Midtown isn't that douchey unless you wear your (parent's) UT ballcap into an all Aggie's bar but are tall and swoll as hell so no one gives you any sh!t... takes balls to do that LOL

I actually live downtown and I can attest to that. You can walk to midtown in 15 minutes and the light rail can take you anywhere. The only thing is they REALLY need to do something about all of these homeless. It makes the girls uncomfortable. I can pull a slut from a midtown bar and we are at my place in a 15 minute walk or a 3 minute uber. Not bad.

if you're tall and well built the homeless are cool though LOL

but yea i've heard from some of the girls about that.. but at the rate the city is growing i would presume/guess that more will be done... more lighting... more shuttles...etc

Just fucking buy them all a bus ticket to Dallas. That's what LA did lol. Sent them all to Phoenix. Free bus tickets out of the city.

actually also... one of the ones i met in Midtown said she wanted to come up to see me (her office which is just outside of a Big4 firm) has offices in both cities too

The funny thing is she was gushing about Dallas.... BUT... BIG BUT... she could only list the SUBURBS of Dallas that she liked... Arlington, Plano, Addison, Rockwall

I found this so ironic bc i've actually said that I don't mind those areas at all in Dallas (Arlington, Legacy Plano, Addison)... but those are suburbs and NOT "Dallas"... she'll be in for a suprise when she comes up... and not just in my pants

Thanks for the replies and info. I agree, based on what I've seen Midtown and Downtown are the new happening spots. I've been to the other areas too many times on weekends when they were dead.

About the homeless, I'm all for their human rights, but it is a mess in that area. I'm a tall and big guy myself, but I don't like to be harassed by crazies and I can imagine it must be 1000x worse for chicks.

I'm sure ... if you're a LEGIT 8/10 (and Houston has many of these nowadays) and wearing a short, tight skirt and top... it could be frightening i'm sure lol

It seems like we have different thoughts on whats hots these days. I have been in Houston for a few years and I think midtown actually peaked in summer 14 before the oil crash. Midtown is still good on the weekends however during that time weekdays in midtown were pretty lively. The exception being on main street with Cle and Capital bar. That area is getting more busier.

Washington is actually picking up with Kung Fu, Concrete cowboys and some newer bars opening up.

Another interesting dynamic is that midtown is actually getting less populated. Midtown has always been the area with fresh college moved to. With the oil crisis, there have been less new grads and interns being hired. Most people after living in midtown for a few years move to the heights and that still holds true.

Now this is not to say that midtown is dead or going to be dead anytime soon. I just believe that it is tad overrated. I would rather be in downtown or washington on the weekends and the heights on the weekday. This is also coming from a person who can lives 30 seconds from drinkery so I could just be sick of the area a bit!

I haven't checked out the heights since I had an ex LTR there over 6 years ago. I'll have to give it a look (unless of course Washington is considered the heights?). I drove by Washington on NYE and it was COMPLETELY dead. Pitiful actually.

So I know the major targets on this forum are white girls, but does anyone spend any time looking into the black or Latino clubs? I live not too far away from Metropolis, and I have seen they get pretty busy on a Thursday. I'm interested in checking it out, or maybe Club Tropicana across the street.

I have also wanted to ask you guys about Vietnamese women in Houston for some time now, but I just keep forgetting. I know there is a sizable Viet population here, but I rarely see them in the nightlife and I really want to get the flag. Any tips on where to go? I've always had a thing for Viet girls, got to get on that. I live close enough to Chinatown (which should actually be called Little Saigon, but w/e), but I really don't want to hang out in a place where I'm the only non-Asian.

Finally, any of you guys game at UH? I used to have some business there so I would go regularly (a year or two ago) and I ended up picking up some nice college talent. Do any of you guys head over there during the school year? I'm considering trying to day game there maybe once or so a week, but that's only if I can figure out a way to not pay or pay less than $5 for parking. I've been to universities in different parts of the country, and UH has to be one of the best for finding sociable and laid back chicks.

nah i feel you on the Heights

I actually looked at property in the Heights for a potential new destination

The thing is... the Heights you're still "in the loop" so you're still close enough to everything and all the action so I don't doubt or negate that

Washington Ave always has and always will be the sh!t

So... "Washington Ave" is a LONG ASS street in the Heights neighborhood in the Houston loop/bubble/inner city... that's why people usually just consider it the same thing

However, there are other things and nice streets like Durham, Yale, Sheperd which have some things going on... but Washington Ave has a LOT going on... but it is a BIG STREET so you have to be in certain areas b/c there are also grocery stores and shops and businesses on Wash Ave which are obviously not bars/clubs either

Yes, the main target on Roosh is Caucasian women... if your type if brunettes with light(blue/green) eyes who are smoking and fit... then Houston is BY FAR the best in Texas today... if we are speaking about inner cities. I posted earlier I would say i would give an average 8/10 rating for most of these girls... but you have to know where to look b/c the city is so MASSIVE

Black, Latina, and Asian will also be pretty good and I would reckon probably also the best in the state as well

From what I can tell, Houston is where it's at right now and with the continual expansion and recent growth trend I would reckon will be what Uptown Dallas USED/WANTS to be and as fun as what Austin USED to be.

*Disclaimer: I am a local boy and I also noticed there are much, much more locals in comparison to Dallas or Austin these days... who knows? maybe that helps? lol

Not specifically vietnamese but Red Door used to have quite a few asian girls but that closed unfortunately. From my experience, asian girls in houston tend to me more in the club scene. Might need some experienced Houston guys to chime in.

For Latinas fox hollow on washington, Gloria's in midtown are pretty good. Hispanics make up the largest demographic in Houston so they are pretty much everywhere. One thing I have noticed about Houston is that there are quite a few attractive South American women. Katy seems to be full of them.

Don't know much about black girls except for as other posters have said they are pretty easy to talk to. Houston has a large Middle Eastern/South Asian community as well.

There is a ton of beautiful mixed race ladies in Houston as well. Never had I met a half jordaninan/half pananmian, half saudi/half colombian girl until I moved here.

Another area that I haven't really checked is EaDo. With genterfication more clubs/bars are popping up there. The one downside of Houston is that because nightlife is so spread out you blow a lot of money on uber in case one area is dead.

Yea there's tons of hot mixed girls in the area I noticed

Lots of hot blonde country girls too if that's your thing

I think when people go now/today they will be seriously impressed

I understand... eh maybe ~5-10 years ago... Houston wasn't this good but it's raising i think.

I honestly ran in to 2 guys who had moved from Dallas to Houston for this same reason on NYE...just small talk/chit chat

Question for you Kevans. I was talking to a few old timers and they had mentioned that Houston was the best from 04-08. During the last time where both natural gas and oil were in a bull market. Your saying that Htown hasn't really the place to be? ladies From what I gathered that was when you could seriously get paid working in the energy biz while the housing inside the loop was still extremely cheap.

I'll chime in even though this wasn't directed at me. I was born in Houston in 88, and have been here most of my life. Houston has actually steadily declined in many ways over the years. When I was young you could barely walk around Montrose because there were so many people, and the streets were jammed with cars on weekends. I tend to like all races of women, but if you are into white women then white flight has destroyed what Houston used to be.

Also being in the inner loop didn't really have the same meaning as it does now. The inner loop used to be filled with poverty and crime in many parts, so it wasn't really the most happening place. If you think the homeless and crazies in midtown are bad now, you should have seen it before.

Maybe that is a bit outside of the time range you were asking about though. Overall Houston has become more cookie cutter in a lot of ways, but I think that holds true for the nation and maybe the whole world.

Thanks for the StacksGman. When I first moved to Houston I was told the typical propaganda that it was some racist oil town. After living here for a few years and reading about its history, Houston is a pretty interesting city. Like how gunspoint was the area to live in during the 80s and there was a candy store serial killer in the heights. I do think the city grows on you.

Do you find Houston to be pretty cliquey? Midtown in particular can be pretty bad with your Longhorn and Aggies cliques. College football rules the city so it seems like if you come from a strong sports school meeting girls can be easier. The flip side to this is that there are a ton of transplants/foriegners who move here that are pretty receptive.

good point man.

I meant as far as how "aesthetically appealing" it is today in comparison to then

some of the new buildings, walkable paths, dog parks, etc are very very impressive.... people are generally impressed when they see those... many of these are fairly new as an fyi

i see what you're saying... but white flight happens in every major city in Texas

Austin to Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander
Dallas to Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Flower Mound
San antonio to Live Oak, Stone Oak, etc

I think my point was as far as "aesthetic appeal" and being "walkable" it's improved a lot

I was born in 88 myself(in SA) and i've seen how much SA has changed too!

But I also remember when the "place to be" or "thing to do" was or "USED TO BE" Dallas in the 90s early 00s to Austin/Houston... and now intel is telling me it's moving to Houston... and from when I go, the things to do, the places that keep sprouting up, the "personality" and the "talent" I have to agree

tbh, as long as you're a local kid... it won't matter... which is good and the way it SHOULD BE i feel... I mean, that's the point of having hometown discounts, hometown pride, etc... which is a good thing I think

Dallas is the opposite! you would be AMAZED at how locals are actualy in the minority in Dallas these days..

Houston might be my new home in a year or two. I'm down for the fine ass black women, lower cost of living, concealed carry, and no income tax.

Holy shit just looked at the rent prices for apartments in Midtown and compared to what I would get here in LA it's WAY fucking better. For those prices I'd have to live in a boring ass neighborhood or close to the hood. I literally started laughing while I scrolled down craigslist. I'm seriously sitting here laughing while looking at the apartment quality and prices. We're truly getting fucked here in So Cal.

California seriously fucking sucks. Can't wait to get out of here. Other than perfect weather this place is highly overrated.

All things go right I convince my company to let me work remote, transfer to a Texas office (I think we have one in Houston), or I just relocate and find a new job.

After weighing my options between Chicago, Houston, ATL, I think Houston wins. Fuck LA.

Definitely a close one between Houston and Atlanta. ATL seems to have a better job market.

Most def. I'd like to take a trip sometime this year (maybe summer?) to test the waters for a weekend get away. Maybe a holiday weekend I use some vacation time and fly out.

Only thing is I gotta go to Africa first to see my family before I travel within the states or my parents will kill me. Plane ticket to west Africa is at least $1300 so I need to save a bit.
