There's nothing wrong with growing a beard, but the overly supplicating teddy bear attitude that comes with the beard is what makes it hipster rather than full on masculine or whatever. In the hipster world, if you like your beard you can keep your beard, as long as you follow the femdom behavior protocol for keeping female attention. I've never been able to wrap my head around the submissive tatted up, bearded guy and his short-haired, tatted, dominant girlfriend. They do seem happy, like they fought tooth and nail to invert themselves for each other, but it just seems so weird to me.
It's funny because if I tailor myself right, I can fit in with the hipster crowd. But as soon as I say what's on my mind, they know I'm not "one" of them. Or we'll agree on the beginning premises (down with society, do what you want, blah blah) until you get into the process and ethics of it. I've found myself using Roosh's "Danish nodding game" on American hipster girls in the past to good effect. The problem is it takes so much effort to hold in what I feel/want to say (so much for be authentic/express yourself

)
Also I've noticed hipster guys are overly loud and animated in their movements. Their feminine behavior overshadows their beard. They can be fun to vibe and joke around with for a little bit and for all their 'femininity', they can be surprisingly motivated to meet girls. It's just their approach involves way too much supplication for my liking. And when they proudly proclaim to me they're a male feminist because it's the only ethical stance and how I must join them, I just can't...

stop smoking American Spirits
I will disagree here and say American Spirits are a great cig since they're slow burning. Pulled a girl from her friends a few weeks ago and was able to escalate due to the American Spirits taking forever to burn.
I say grow the beard, but follow up with "beardly" behavior if it's 'masculinity' you seek. I can see how in brooklyn this could be counter-productive. There's a lot of talent there but the feminism is strong in that region. Probably why I still end up targeting foreign girls who don't give a crap about such house of cards philosophy.
This feminine hipster guy phenomenon is an example of the clown game needed to hold a girl's attention in this day and age. You have a masculine feature like a beard or (p?)leather jacket, but you need to act overly dramatic like a girl or the gay best friend to make the girl feel safe and find you fun.
when I disguise myself as a red pill in a blue pill capsule, I get more positive reactions from the hipster world. It's all about calibrating how much of your true colors you can show at that point.
Another positive about hipsters is I can legit nerd out without having them give me a glossed over, catatonic look. If you need to let out some 'beta' nerd ramble, find yourself a hipster.
