I will admit, I've run into more shitty attitudes than I ever have in the past year or so. The shitty of shittiest attitudes have come from people new to the city.

Usually the case.

Hell, I hear more New York accents in South Florida than I do in Manhattan.

I wonder if the people from NY are like that because of the East Coast Mentality, which causes some people to not be the nicest compared to say West Coast/Southern Vibe or maybe those people just suck as human beings? :-p I almost forgot to mention, i don't really dress all that flashy. I need to improve my wardrobe. A collared shirt and jeans with dress shoes i don't think is gonna cut it.

I find most things people don't like in New York to not apply to me. The common ones I see are..

1) it's expensive: yes, lodging is expensive, but after that, it's really not that bad. Food can be found real cheap. Taxis are cheap as hell. Drinks aren't all that bad. Anywhere worth going in America is expensive. If you want an inexpensive place, go to zainsville.

2) people are mean: I didn't see it. Maybe these people are from zainsville and just soft. They're city people with busy lives. Just because someone didn't chat you up for an hour at the bar or didn't have the time to tell you directions because they were late to work doesn't make them mean. When I worked 72 hours a week in Miami and was hustling to get from one job to the other, I would tell people to figure it out for themselves when it came to directions plenty of times. I'm not going to be late to work to help a tourist find the beach, it's 2 blocks over asshole!

3) it's dirty: I enjoy third world shitholes, so please spare me.

4) the women aren't great: please, find me another city with more diversity on earth. You won't find many.

I actually think New York is much cheaper to visit than both Miami and Las Vegas. InNew York (I have a Greek Kamaki-type spacebar issue), I can take the subway and/or walk to almost everywhere I need to go. On the rare occasion I cannot walk or use public transportation, taxis are less expensive than in both Miami and Las Vegas. I also think that on average both drinks and food are less expensive in New York than in both Miami and Las Vegas.

If you think about it, every single one of these travel threads comes down to one thing and one thing only:

Man I don't even see New Yorkers as mean.

Yeah you got the pretentious "asshole people" but really are they being "mean"? no.

They are telling you the truth.

Shit at least they are being honest with me and saying A) you're not hot enough or B) you're not my type.

Wtf do I care? That's BETTER all you do is move to the next one.

I would much rather get blown out 30 times and bang the 31st girl in a single night than have some bitch waste my whole night giving me blue balls.

Tell me why people think the "bitchiness" is a bad thing? I don't get this line of thinking at all.

I also don't ask stupid shit to strangers so I never get "attitude".

Again why are these people "mean". Even the bitch is male defined's story shows her cards. She is a gold digger. Whatever least you know what you're dealing with from hello.

I have had more "nice and friendly" California girls eat up hundreds of hours of my time. Fuck that.

Just lose the ego and crunch the numbers.

On that note I'll see you guys in meat packing tonight.

If I don't have success in a city I don't blame the city. I blame myself.

I take a look in the mirror and ask myself what is it I can do to be better.

This is how you should approach all facets of life.

If people are mean to you all the time maybe it's you that's the problem and not them.

I make it pretty impossible for people to be mean or have an attitude with me.

Even crazy homeless bums look the other way after making eye contact with me.

I have low patience for the victim mentality.

Life's only a bitch if you are.

BTW, 3 nights in NYC budget from DC: AirBnB apt ($450-550, good neighborhood in Manhattan), bus ($50), going out ($100-200/day if you go out at night). So, conservatively a 3 night stay in NYC costs you $800 if you can't stay with a friend...and if you can stay with a friend, can you actually bang there?

Has anyone done NYC on a cheaper budget than this? I don't necessary mean backpacker/couchsurfer cheap. I know it costs to be in an Alpha++ city. What's the cheapest any of you have spent on a weekend in NYC while still having a good time?

I'm sure NYC is a great place to live if you can afford it, but for short visits, the ROI seems hard for me to justify. Vegas seems better suited for that type of thing.

Wolf,

1) I didn't have any logistics whatsoever to where that might affect my mentality since i was visiting my friend for 8 hours and would go on a bus back to DC at 3:45 AM.

This just means you weren't really in NYC. But I think you know this, so I am not going to belabor this point.

4) My game needs work. I haven't pulled in my home city(DC) in about a year and some change but my logistics suck to begin with(i live 45 min away). Also, most conversation don't last that long with them as they want to go back to their friends(aka they just want to go back and might not be all that interested).

This is really the core issue. You have standard game-related problems; those need to be addressed first. I think I met you at the RVF meet up...you're a brother, right? If so, you should model yourself on successful players in the area...VK and HC.

That's a good idea! At this point, I'm willing to try it since I do want to work on getting better. I'm trying to remember during the night when I met ya my man at the meetup. [Image: smile.gif]

Its ironic with the Vegas Sucks Thread as I liked Vegas alot.

Actually, now that i think about it....most people really didn't give me attitude at all. Fuck it, last time i was there they were helpful. But i do feel ya on the nice and friendly but wasting time bit with girls, its nice at first since you think "Hey...this is going great..." until nothing happens and you're like "Oh common, i just wasted an hour on a chick who wasn't into to me and all and just wanted to socialize" so i feel ya on that.

I think i've realized it recently, to improve...you are responsible for your own success. I wont' lie, I played the victim for a while but that shit is stopping.

I learned a lot, expect a mex city info guide soon as well [Image: smile.gif]

When your driver is explaining that the guys all trade up in a city, you know that it is 100% your fault if you mess it up.

On a other note, this is the only city in the world where you don't have to "know" the good spots. You just show up and don't hang out at mc Donald's. That's literally all the logistics you need, just common sense.

Yet again, game needed? "
Just land

Funny side note is that California ID game helped.
