You Don't Have to Weigh A Lot To Look Built!

Question: as for your getting ripped "career", did you start working out at the gym at first and then switched to your pushups/pullups workout or did you only do your home based workout from day one?

PS. Dude, haters just lose their credibility with every little word they write. Sit back and let them lose it all.

One more question:

Are your handstand pushups with a wall?

Or "free"?

Why? Everyone is posting their opinions just like the op did. Hell, the op said diet is overly exaggerated. Nice, especially coming from a early 20's guy. Wait until he hits middle age and come back to let us know about the importance of diet.

The biggest thing is he found the look and lifestyle that meshes with him. That doesn't mean others have to agree with his opinions.

It seems that if someone disagrees now they are a hater. Sounds like shaming to me.

Making an extremely contrived comparison by exaggerating the arguments of your opponents is not convincing, it's laughable.

Fair, it was a wee bit contrived. But, I wasn't singling out anyone in particular, I just thought it was odd for people to be making out as if the O.P is some skinny weed of a man, when he clearly isn't. Dude looks in excellent shape.

Not sure if it's me or RS you are asking, in my case I began hitting the iron in 1971, with the usual breaks due to having kids and family obligations, but never more than a year. I started doing bodyweight two years ago and have never had a more balanced build develop, the way I figure it the muscles are been used in a more functional way, when you are doing a combination pullup/leg raise damn near every muscle is called into play, like a full body isometric, like pushing a car up a hill....

I started out in the gym at around 19, 160lbs and with no visible muscle. I then lifted seriously for a few years. When doing heavy squats and deadlifts, I was hovering anywhere between 180-195lbs for a couple years. I then went through a booze/drugs phase where I became pretty anorexic, bottoming at 148lbs. Calisthenics me brought to my current weight/size(between 165 and 170lbs depending on the day). I feel I like I am carrying more upper body mass now and look more aesthetic than I ever have. Honestly, I have no doubt I could continue to get bigger with just bodyweight training, I just need to get serious with the fork. Maybe this winter, I will do that.

And thanks, I knew they were going to come out of the wood work. I will ignore all future such posts. I left America to get away from fat people, and now they are bitching at me on the internet...[Image: whip.gif]

Diet for older guys is important, just to even keep T levels up. I eat a lot of protein and veggies/nuts, but every now and then pig out on anything I want. Not everybody wants the same look, you have to find what works for you and what lifestyle you want to have, but it's been my experince the guys that go for the whole Powerlifter/or Body builder look only appeal to limited group of women.

For me, having to slug back protein shakes and measure my food consumption for the sake of an extra 10-20 lbs ( and a good chunk of it probably fat) to get me well over 200lbs just isn't worth it.

I only do them free at parties as part of my dance routine(has gotten me several lays btw[Image: blush.gif]). If you are just trying to build muscle, do them against the wall. Its easier to concentrate when you don't have to worry about falling. Just touch the wall lightly though and wear socks(trust me on this).

Whether you want to admit or not, the lean cut-up look is what most men and the vast majority of women find desirable.

Why should I or anyone care what you recommend? Somehow I am not credible because I am the light side of scale yet you put nothing out there for anyone to critique. Post up or shut up...Really, I am fucking tired of this playground bullshit!
How do you know what women find the most desirable, please share some stories of times when you got laid solely based on your physique. Like i said ive seen many "transformations" threads at the misc, the consensus is you get laid more the bigger you get (im not talking obese either).

Im not hating on you but dont act like youre the only one working your ass off. And dont come here trying to give advice if you cant take some pretty reasonable criticism.

Haters usually sit back and talk shit about things they know nothing about, i know a thing or two about training, and many other posters do too. Reaper, vorkuta, hades, fitasfuck, every10 just to name a few that regularly post on lifestyle there is a reason why everyone disregarded bodyweight training a long time ago and started hitting the weights hard.

Dog24: I should ignore you since you claimed to know my muscle insertion points better than I do even though I have been looking at them for 20+ years. There is nothing reasonable or informed about your criticism. This thread is not here for guys like you or reaper who think that carrying around a lot of mass make you more of a man. A lot of guys would kill to have a fightclub physique. I am here to help them(as I have helped several buddies achieve that look).

As for my conquests, gladly. Several women in saunas, countless pool parties, a milf tore my shirt off in a bar in Bratislava..Need I say more? As I said before, women like rare things. Most women have never seen a shredded guy in the flesh. They have seen such guys in a magazine or a movie but when they see one in person they go nuts. I have had women lick every inch of my torso( every inch). It evokes something primal in them that you would have to see to believe...

MikeCF: Really, man? I said nothing outlandish. I average maybe 40-50 unique lays a year, I consider myself a game beginner. For that reason, my lays are almost entirely reliant on my looks. To call me out on that seems immature and there is a lot of that happening here on rooshv, the negativity is killing me.

Whenever I've visited the Misc, it's become apparent to me that much of it is teenage posturing and wish-fulfilment. Not that there aren't some genuinely good threads there though.

In regards to what the 'consensus' says, that might possibly be true in the States, due to reasons Houston touched on earlier. However in Europe, where the OP is from - athletic is a lot more desired than 'big'. Obviously, fill a t-shirt of course, but it's not like he isn't doing that already with his current physique. The biggest guys that women want here in England (which is closer to the States culturally than mainland Europe) are the rugby dudes, who are pretty bloody big, but nowhere near the NFL guys. I think a lot is cultural. As long as you have a broader back than your waist, good shoulders, big arms (within reason)... biology says you're a good mate. As in 'mating', not in the "hiya mate" sense ha.

Facts about RussianSoul:
  • First thread he makes is dedicated to showing off his body to a forum full of men
  • Doesn't want to get too big because then he can't wear trendy designer clothes
  • Utterly terrified of normal levels of body fat
  • Gets bitchy and starts sniping at guys who disagree with him
  • Likes to dance around with his shirt off at bars
  • Claims 50 notches per year with beginner game
Conclusion:

RussianSoul is a gay twink.

Enigma, "skinny/small" was being thrown at me well before I used those words, all by guys who didn't have the balls to put up pics in comparison. I never offered advice on becoming massive so I don't know why a certain few felt the need to hijack the thread in that direction. You can have the last word, mate.

Scorpion, you have had a dildo up your ass since the beginning. Posting up a fitness advice thread, without pics, is meaningless. You talk really tough behind that keyboard, huh? But I am flattered that you find my sexuality so intriguing...

You started a thread, where its entire purpose was to show off how "good looking" your body was.

When you start a conversation like that, you might get some praise, but you will get the critics.

Looks like you are too thin-skinned to handle any negative commentary.

Come on man, you're the one being a keyboard jockey. You have a good physique, but being shredded isn't as incredibly rare as you think. I'm sure that quite a few forum members with a comparable body, and I don't think that just being shredded can get you fifty lays a year. I'm not 'hating' but I feel this is over the top.

50 lays a year in London is very good, especially on a bankroll of less than $1500 a month (according to your profile).

The real kicker is that his profile says he is 24.

How many 24 year old's do you know who have the experience it takes to fuck 50 women a year?

I know a lot of guys in the 21-23 range who are as good looking as OP if not better looking, and none of them have the level of experience (or the level of energy) it takes to pound out that many women in a year.
