Halfway through the season!
What a massive disappointment NFC Least, it's clear Chip doesn't have the defense or the QB to make his system work.
Packers look ready to run away with their division, don't think Cutler will come back in time to challenge. Maybe Megatron will carry his team to challenge?
The Saints look really good, and the Panthers seem to have turned it around after terribad Ron decided not to handcuff his offense in the future. The Falcons are still dangerous even though this year really went south on them, and it's hard to believe the Bucs haven't fired that turdcoach Schiano yet.
Niners have looked better and better after those struggles early in the season. Lots of reinforcements to hopefully shore up a subpar pass game and mediocre pass rush. Seahawks have looks mediocre in recent weeks although they'll get a lot of players back from injury soon. SF will probably have to run the table in order to catch Seattle in the standings. The upcoming game at the Saints and home vs the Seahawks loom large.
After a promising start to the season it looks like the rest of the division is conceding to the Pats yet again. I hope I'm wrong, it's annoying that they seem to be able to walk away with their division for another season. It's not like NE is even playing that well!
Is this the year for Andy Dalton to make the leap? The rest of the AFC North look ready to go fishing. Looks like the Ravens paid for postseason Flacco and got regular season Flaccid.
Indy might be this years bad good team, plays down to the competition when faced with bad opponents and plays fired up when up against a quality team. Already won over the much vaunted Broncos, Seahawks, and Niners but depth might be a problem for making a postseason run. Still, everyone was talking up the Texans preseason and saying the Colts might struggle to get a wild card this year - not so much now!
Out west, KC is this years turnaround team and as a Niners fan it's great to see Alex Smith on a winning team. However the Chiefs advanced metrics have been closer to a league 10-15 team as of late rather than the #1. I'd love to see them upend the Broncos in the playoffs but I have my doubts that'll happen. AFCW might have a 12 or 13 win team go on the road as a wildcard this year while in the NFCE they'll give a sad sack team homefield. Replay of 2010 NFCW?
