Yes, I got very lucky. This was back in 2006-2007, before CS became mainstream, so to speak. There were few CS'ers in my city back then, and virtually all of them worked during the day, which allowed me to show the girls around during the morning / afternoon on weekdays. I'm travelling through the UK and often there are only 8 or 10 people even in major cities like Birmingham or Bristol. Forget exotic places like the Congo or Myanmar. A friend is in Myanmar and has told me it's impossible to use there.

For me couchsurfing isn't a way to fuck women, it's a way to connect with different people. Does that mean I haven't fucked quite a few women from Cs, no (actually maybe I should say they fucked me, which was often the case). It's important to get away from the mentality that we have to do anything special to go to bed with people. Once a person has a interesting lifestyle and positive personality it's often enough to expose yourself to a large number of people in order to go to bed with quite a few of them. This can be done in many ways, dance groups, fitness groups, meetup groups, you name it.

A girl I was talking with the other day told me she was fed up with CS because all the messages she got from people hitting on her. I went to a CS meeting here in Germany yesterday. I don't know what I was expecting, but I met some of the most socially awkward people I've ever met. It was also bizarrely like an audition for the "Before" picture in a Proactiv ad. Shudder.

With online groups (meetup.com as well) you have to separate the wheat from the chaff when you're looking for people to hang out with or a new social circle if you're new in town. And there's a lot of chaff.

How do you guys find chics being currently hosted by other guys? Do you just go to the nearby travelers page? There usually aren't tons of girls on there. And many of them will have already moved on to their next destination.

Just hit up the profiles of girls requiring a host in the next few days. If the ad's been on more than a couple of days and she's pretty, chances are she'll have at least one offer of a bed.

The good thing here is that most of the dudes who are hosts in the CS community are absolute saps whose idea of showing a girl the local hot-spots is a trip to KFC.

Make sure your profile is in complete contrast to the typical CS beta, show that you are social and know all the best bars, clubs and cafes. Be somebody who seems like the guy to party with, albeit not necessarily someone you'd want to host you.

This formula is golden. For the past few years I have converted 80%-85% of girls that would request my couch into a bang. However when I have had to invite them under the open request system it has been much harder. I would say around 40-50%. I have done this a few times. Typical scenario:

My fake CS profile finally posted. Just a recap, I made a fake profile of an attractive young white girl and posted an open couch request in a major American city(won't name which because I know CS admins read this site) just to get an idea how many dudes are on there looking for action. I read a story about a girl going to Argentina that got invites in the triple digits. I wanted to see if CS has really become that big of a cockfest.

This is the 2nd day up, 9 dudes and 0 women have responded. Funny thing is only one of them has been a white guy. The others have all been either Indian or middle eastern and one black guy. When you look at the guy's profiles, of course it's only chics they've hosted. No major surprises, I guess, I actually thought it would be way more replies. One of the Indian guys was extremely cheesy.
