I just realized the US is playing Mexico on the 26th. What are the tickets looking like Germanico? Talked to my Cuernavaca connect and she said she might be able to get them for free tomorrow. Looked online and they seemed to be sold out. If I finish my business in Texas as soon as possible I'm looking at DF from the 21-27 then on to GDL from there.
I think InternationalSwagger was in DF a few weeks ago and loved it. I want to say he hit up Punta Negras and liked the talent. He is connected with some locals so I dont think he was pulling anthing new. I have to hit him up.
I'll hit you up G when I get in town. You hooked up up when I was researching so I got to buy you a drink.
Sidenote... How much does an unlocked Iphone5 go for? You think it is worth taking one or two to sell? I think think I had hit up Criagslist a few weeks ago but wanted to know from somebody on ground.

Wouldn't DF and GDL be kind of quiet due to Semana Santa? I've been debating heading back to DF (was there years ago) but figured that it would be relatively quiet with the locals headed out of town to fincas or the beach, similar to most other Latin countries.

I can get my girl to cop you a set. If not I'll ask her where to get them. You probably need to jump on it ASAP. I still havent locked my trip in yet due to the fact I'm "stuck" in Thailand for another week. I'll hit her up now to get you more info.

Im not a futbol fan. Im asking some friends who are. One tells me that most of the times you can just show up and buy one at the box, but if they are sold out, haggle with one of the multiple scalpers that will approach you as you get closer to the stadium. Expect some overprice for premium tickets, but anything above 20% is unreasonable.
A tactic I have used in the past is wait until its about to start or just started. Most guys would rather sell the ticket at a cost than keeping it and losing money.
Ill keep asking around and tell you guys if I find anything, but dont put your hopes on me, I dont usually hang with the futbol crowd.
Speakeasy: wheres this at? The third girl from the left is damn fine.

HC and to whomever else is interested, I found the following online. It takes a little extra effort but seems legit.
"An update from trials and successes over the last few days. Hope it helps:
-ticketmaster.com.mx does not allow ppl outside Mexico to buy tickets at this time
-tried absolutely everything to bypass this (including co-workers with family in Mexico) No good.
-I bought a calling card online (very cheap- hablamexico.com)
-Dialed in with my passcode and alled the Mexican customer service line: 011-52-1-55-5325-9000
-It took a couple tries but I finally pushed the right numbers (my spanish isn't great)
-Asked to speak to someone who spoke English, waited a little longer
-Spoke to someone who was very helpful and accommodating
-Brief banter about who was playing well for El Tri and who would win the game
-They allowed me to buy tickets with my american credit card. Apparently over the phone is the only way they can make an exception on this.
-Tickets will be at will call either at Mexico airport (international terminal) or Azteca"

I recently got back from 4 days in Mexico City. I had a great time there.
I stayed at Hotel Polly, a very cheap hotel (170 pesos per night). I found it of off booking.com. It's located in Guerrero, so it's not the best location, but it does have a metro station close by that was convenient. For its price, expect the only bare necessities (it has working hot water though) and some other drawbacks (hookers standing outside at night). But you have your own room to bring a girl back to.
Mexico City compares well to Guadalajara, which I went to a couple years ago. I got more in attention in Guadalajara, but I liked the talent in Mexico City better (although San Jose, Costa Rica had better looking girls than either). Guanajuato is still the best city in Mexico for girls, in terms of ease and talent.
Big co-sign on la Condesa especially Pata Negra and Zydeco. These are bars where most people are standing. There were some girls playing with their smart phones, but they there do not have an American girl's attitude. Here's my story from Zydeco: A girl approached me and said I looked like Thor. She was a 6. As the bar was closing, she said she was parked nearby. Once in her car, she gave me the best blowjob in my life. I asked for a ride home. She replied that she was not a cabbie.
Another area that I liked was in the center by the Allende metro stop. There were a lot of rock bars with cheap beer and easy rocker girls. I went up to a girl who was alone and asked her where Pasaguero was. She offered to walk me there, but it turned out that it was closed. She showed me some of the other rock bars in the area and then came back to my hotel for sex. She didn't mention the hookers she passed on the way in.

I was not impressed with COSTA RICAN chicks when I was in San Jose. I don't include those Colombian transplants. Most of the fine chicks I saw in CR were Colombians.

Yeah I would have to disagree. I've been to SJC. There's nothing there that remotely competes with DF's high end. You gotta go to Polanco.

Is that the highest end spot in DF with hottest girls?
How is the nightlife there?
---
Yeah, hell, the girls I have met from DF and Guada outside of Mexico have dominated the girls in San Jose I met while in San Jose.
(Costa Rica, and California as well. Hell, put together).
Yeah definitely. Very exclusive. It's not setup like Condessa though which has all the bars and clubs in one walkable area. In Polanco you gotta take a cab or drive to each venue. The nightlife is dope. I mentioned it my recap on the first post in this thread. Plaza Altura has Joy Room and Ragga. Sick venues.

I should have been more specific. I meant that the average is higher in San Jose than in Mexico City, not that the top-shelf pussy in Mexico City doesn't compare to San Jose. I didn't go to Polanco, but it seems like everyone is saying Polanco is better than San Jose as a whole. I can't really argue with that. But, I would disagree with the average in Mexico City being better than the average in San Jose.

How is Mexico City in May?
Weather wise? Vibe? etc.
I am starting to develop a stable of girls in DF that I need to check out.
(Beta, I know. Flying to meet up with girls and all that. Please cut me some slack.)
Also, what is the smoking in bars scene there?
Doable?

G, I was in DF from 3/19-4/11 (with a side trip to Acapulco, trip report coming) and it was 78-82 every day I was there, think it rained once. Great weather but the air quality is a bitch. I'm not someone who gets bad reactions to pollen in the air and such but by the 2nd or 3rd day I was there my throat was irritated and I thought I was getting sick. I basically had cold symptoms the whole time I was there due to the air quality so that's something to keep in mind.
These symptoms went away while at the ocean in Acapulco and returned 1 day after coming back to DF.
Edit: So I would imagine it would be a couple degrees warmer.
Oh and I wanna say no smoking in bars, although someone definitely lit up so weed 1 night in Pata Negra. Chick I was with said it was fairly common.

You may want to add to the Acapulco Data Sheet that I started a while back. I haven't been back there lately and it would be interesting to see if there have been any changes in that place.
