[b]This was a large eye opener. It's hard for me to believe everyone in this city doesn't cheat on each other. Even the guys with game. I'd say a Colombian woman is extremely extremely good at "kissing your ass" and making you think with all her power that she loves you. Of course when you're out, she's riding some other guy's dick behind your back. It's very hard for me to pinpoint exactly how I got this gut instinct

help me out here, somewhat totally new to Latin women. Just got out of a 10 month LTR with a cuban born miami bred woman. She was my first, up until now its mostly been all white girls. She acted the same way, in terms of "making you think with all her power that she loves you". but something in my gut told me otherwise, like your gut feeling you describe. Its not jealousy, but guessing that she is just not all that unavailable to other men. Is this a Latin cultural thing? Its not like I care, I have been approaching and closing for months.

^ ha I dunno man.

The guys living there can give you a better answer. Most of the girls I have dated have been Latinas and I was just giving off my impression from a visit down there. I basically landed, met a few people off RVF and through mutual friends sat down shut my mouth and took mental notes and observed the culture. That's generally my routine, become very quiet and take notes so I learn quickly and get my base instincts for the place. Works well from my experience, I would do the same with you try to "third party" observe the girl you are with by avoiding an emotional interaction and viewing your relationship from a logical standpoint.

Reasons why I got that vibe in Colombia?
1. Chicks asking me to dance when the pair of girls I was with at Juanchito went to the bathroom. They basically waited for an opportunity.
2. Leery eyes when the girl is with her boyfriend staring at our table
3. Seeing overly affectionate bf/GF situations where it seemed like she was trying to sell the bf on her loyalty (the over the top sale)

My advice would be the following:
If you have no interest in relationships and are hustling on the side anyway, who cares then?

If you want a more "traditional" girl who is going to be loyal you're better off filtering her family life (ask very pointed questions) girls with strong nuclear family ties will be less likely to stray. Also go with a girl who has had 1 other partner at max.

All that said re-reading that long post it probably came off as a more negative review of the chicks, not meant to be the case, more of a cultural observation/instinct.

TL;DR IMHO to make things easier filter girls based on their family history and previous relationships to make it easier on yourself. Of corse trust the more seasoned guys as well who have lived and breathed the type of IRL you're seeing in her country.

I'm dating a girl from Cali in San Diego right now and she plays the game I've read about: buy me dinner, drive me around, living with her family, etc. Massive headache, but she's a sweetheart and goes out of her way to cook me dinner and show affection. Very touchy-feely to the point of annoyance.

eeeh....just on looks alone and nothing else; not good. Deebow, what appeals to Colombian girls are the white skin, blue/green eyed "look" aside from their own latino looks. Then of course, after you have that basic down, how you dress, social status and vibe are all heavily considered. If you don't speak spanish, the odds stack up against you even more.

Now, YMMV if you are social, fun, and dress really nice and trendy (Not Ed Hardy, or thug rapper -- I'm talking GQ).

Blacks in Colombia, especially Cali are not sought after by white, or tan skinned latinas - of course if you go there tossing $$$ around like you just won a championship, that's another story, and another set of women to look out for.

Nacirema is a 6'+ clean cut white boy, and is the typical foreign look that local women find a novelty in Cali.

Cali has a huge black community, and 90% of that community is made up usually of poor farmers, and hard labor workers.

Your best bet is to go to Germany, or EE - black guys are celebs over there. Or even better, head on down to Fort Lauderdale - I cannot even begin to tell you how many times i see brothers with an incredible beautiful white girl at their side.

I have a lot of black friends in Miami/Fort Lauderdale, and they do very well - especially since they dress nice and suit up when going out.

Mixx

Definitely not true...I've been to Colombia over 10 times since 2005 (Cali, Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena) and I clean up with all the chicas and I'm clean cut, attractive, dress well, well traveled all the etc's. I have more of a Dominincan/Arabic look so I can blend in very well in most places with a mixed black population.

To Deebow: Line up some honies on http://www.latinamericancupid.com before you arrive alot of cool ones on there ready to meet up. I tend to find the olive/tan/mixed Colombians finer than the straight white ones anyway (not many to begin with).

Your comparison and theory of Colombian "black poor farmer types" not being attractive could be applied and compared to white women overall disliking the Red-Neck/Meth-ed Up look and lifestyle of many I see all over America so not a good comparison IMO when your comparing upscale brothas from the US who travel abroad who have game, language, dress and social skills. I just get tired of people on here stating their tired uninformed opinion on how a Black Men (I'm talking mostly from a US perspective) would do in Latin America when they obviously arent Black and can't relate and really just don't know.

In general If your good looking, dress well and know Intermediate Spanish and can Dance Salsa and your from the States you will clean up regardless in Colombia. Don't worry about any racism down there just do you.

I'm going to post some pictures later of me and one of my 19 y/o hot girls in Medellin who is what they consider "White" in Colombia. Look for it attached under this very post. I met her on LatinAmericaCupid as well and it's been on ever since.
I do the best I can not to ignore it but it reeks on salt being thrown. Nothing get the hate flowing than seeing the underdog succeed.

I general disregard any opinions of race by Non-black for a number of reasons. Again, my preference is black women. These paisas here are fine but a nice sister will always get my attention but that's obviously just me. If one keeps asking others about outlook as a black man, you'll quickly get the impression there's little choice for you in the whole world.

That said, I'm more anxious to go to quibdo and Cali. "don't go, it's dangerous!" For someone who isn't black I could understand that but I've never felt unsafe in either Las Gaviotas, Cartagena or here in Medellin. I guess being black does have some perks, huh? I don't jock Non-black as some do so if they ain't checking for Zoe, get the stepping.

The story on Cali Colombia

I've been in Cali for about 10 days now and have one more week to go. So far, about ~30 approaches total between both day game + night game (worked out to 8 phone #'s so far), plus a few Tinder matches but no bangs.

I went on a few first dates as well and it's actually a bit frustrating how it's A) difficult to get the first kiss, B) Refusal to be pulled home and C) some leads who seemed real keen initially will ghost over text. Typical Colombian flakiness. FWIW I speak low-mid intermediate Spanish and have previous experience gaming in Colombia and other LATAM countries such as Mexico.

Here are a few random thoughts / insights on the city and some venues I've been hitting up:

MIO public transit vs Uber: the MIO buses cost only 1,900 COP per one way trip and I've been using it to get to places like Unicentro, University de Valle and my salsa classes as they're all close to a station. I believe the busses run until only 10PM. At night, I only take Ubers between bars / clubs / neighbourhoods and would highly recommend it for safety.

Manicero Dance Academy: A few local girls I talked to about taking salsa classes in Cali mentioned this place so it's quite well known. I signed up for it and it costs 10,000 COP / single lesson or 60,000 COP for set of 8 lessons or 80,000 COP for 16 lessons. The emphasis is on rapid footwork as that's the style of salsa here. The instructors are quite good and they have 3 levels of salsa classes that run for two hours everyday from Mon-Sat. There's a few cute girls around here but environment not that conducive to picking up. Would still recommend if you're just looking to learn salsa.

New Body Performance Gym: Close to my Airbnb in Versalles, I stumbled upon this place and it's awesome. 14,000 COP for a drop-in and it's a spacious, two story gym with free weights, barbells, bodyweight equipment, stretching area, kettle bells, TRX gear, cardio machines and everything you'd want. They have a snack / smoothie bar as well. They offered me a free drop-in pass and I was sold after that. I previously went to Fitness Training Centre in Grenada for a work out and it was 1/3 the size, plus was super crowded with less equipment. Would not recommend that place.

Unicentro & Chipichape: I day gamed at both these places ready to put in work, but honestly it was pretty disappointing to see the lack of approachable single girl sets. The volume just wasn't there and a lot of couples, families, girls with their mom & dad & baby brother combos or just high school aged girls. I did managed to pick up one shop girl but cold approaching here was pretty low RIO for time invested for me.

University of Valle: It's south of the city but IMO it's the best place to run day game as the campus is a decent size and the talent concentration is good. The downside is that it's hard to pull off massive volume and the library is very strict about their no-noise policy. So depending on whether you want to play it direct and spam approach every one, or play the lost-gringo / ask-a-spanish-question game by patiently sitting at an outside cafe with a prop, your mileage may vary.

Bourbon Street Pub: Quiet on weekdays and Sundays as I came here on a date initially. Good mixed cocktails, expensive international draft beers or cheaper national beers. It really excels on Fri / Sat with a pretty good live cover band. Saw a few foreigners here but a lot of them were middle-class - yuppie Colombian mixed groups / couples. The decor here is New Orleans style and is pretty cool. Worth checking out as a date spot or warm-up spot on weekends.

Zaperoco Salsa Bar: Just off la Sexta. Came here on a Sat night and really digged the vibe. The DJ's really knew their craft and played some classic salsa songs and mixes. The beers are fairly priced and the crowd is pretty chill and sociable if you like to dance. There is a small dance floor but you can just invite people in your proximity to dance in the area without going to the dance floor. Saw a few girl-only sets here and they were all down to dance. Fun place for people who like to use salsa to meet people.

La Purga: Fun little Halloween themed 2-story bar / club in Versalles. I came here on a Thurs night on a date and it's a good spot to drink plus dance. The line probably gets busy on weekends but on the night I went it was just the right mix between being hopping but not overly crowded. Would recommend.

Cafe Mi Terra in Menga: Came here on a Fri night by myself. There is no cover and the venue is very big. It's a plastic chair / table type set up with multiple dance floors and DJ's. You can't buy a bottle of beer or drink here. You need to buy a whole bottle of rum (around $20-$30 depending on the size) plus something to mix it up. There's no much mingling and it's 90+% mixed sets which were pretty unapproachable. I chatted up a few people but not much came of it. Would only come back with a girl or a bigger group.

Lolas Night Club in Menga: Came here on a Sat night by myself. I had to pay 20,000 COP cover because there was a "special event" but turned out there was! They had a whole run-way setup for a fashion show event which started at 1AM. As far as top shelf talent goes, it was probably the most Colombian 8's, 9's and dimes I've seen in one place as the models strutted down the catwalk. It was a pretty enjoyable show as the security guy gave me a table close to the action but I had to pay for it with a rum bottle purchase.

The whole place is a large circle under a tent type set up with some plush white leather couches and tables all over. So again, no bar to mingle and almost 90% seated mixed sets. On the night I went at least, got the feeling that the crowd was quite high-end and judging from some of the dudes, there were definitely a few narcos in the crowd and I didn't want to be trying to pick up the wrong dude's girlfriend. Fun night, but without social connections / niche status, no chance I was picking up any models.

Here's a few eye candy pics from the night [Image: biggrin.gif]

Overall, I would say that on average, Calenas have better bodies and curves but Paisas have prettier faces. The average Calena walking about is not that attractive, but there's enough volume around that I still fall in love 3-4 times a day. The city does indeed have a dangerous vibe, especially at night. That said, there are way less gringos here and the cost of living / value for dollar is quite good. It may get boring for a longer term stay though as previously mentioned, but I suspect that's what it might take to land a solid Calena girl, so it's a bit of a catch 22 IMO.

One week left in Cali and will try to put in more numbers but not that hopeful. From what I've read about Calenas being easier than Paisas, I personally haven't found this to be the case. If anybody has some advice on how I can reduce the the flakes and close out leads in this short time, would definitely appreciate it.

Lola's is the shit. They really let you in by yourself? Did you have to tell them you still wanted a table or anything? It seemed like the type of place where they'd think it's super weird to let in people by themselves due to the fact that it's so many groups and possibly not the safest crowd ever there....

Yeah, I was impressed by the talent and it seems quite high end, at least on the night I went. I didn't tell security anything at the door. Guess they just assumed I would want a table, otherwise there'd be no place to stand or to buy drinks. I was pretty much the only patron there rolling solo, but IDGAF and neither did security [Image: banana.gif] Not the safest crowd, but I didn't have any problems at all, or in another other night club / bar venue in Latin America for that matter. Usually pretty easy going, friendly, respectful of local guys I meet and not start anything especially if I'm rolling solo dolo without anybody watching my back.

I had high expectations about Cali also (read so many threads and stories about it, the "BANG" city and so on). Stayed there for a month, and only 1 bang.
People in general are friendly, but women are very very flaky. Some women are thick (love it), but there's lot of plastic surgery going on.
Even the locals say "caleñas" are very easy, but it's pure BS. They move in their own social circles, not so opened to date foreigners. And although there are so many single mothers (one would think they would be perfect targets), not much happening. No flirting or naughtiness. Not much environment for cold approaches.
You can get numbers but soon they block you. So my recommendation is, take Salsa classes in Topa Tolondra or Tintindeo, and enjoy it.
If you are in to P4P, this is your place.

So you went to Cali expecting to get results like Linux, are you a well dressed six foot, blond hair, blue eyed body builder? Planning a trip on collecting notches often leads to disappointing experiences, especially if you don’t have realistic expectations. At least you got to fuck some nice hookers, you’re definitely not the first guy to realize that the ROI is better than swiping right all night and getting flaked on. Hopefully you did some fun stuff on your trip other than not getting laid.

I disagree with Cafe in Menga, even though groups seem to stick to themselves once seated it is easy to meet chicks when they are walking around or on the dance floor, I went there with mixed group of gringos but a lot of the Colombian girls invited me over to their tables etc. or if it is busy they will just sit with you if there aren't any more tables. It seems like a good place to me, and you can meet chicks outside and when it is shutting down it turns into a party on the street and in the parking lot.

Another option is to one of those big beer pitcher things with the tap and they put them on the table so you aren't stuck with buying a bottle if you don't have to, I don't remember the cost of the beer but it wasn't much.

Heading to Cali July 15-23 if anyone has any additional info or wants to link up. Me, new here, but very experienced in the game. Early 40's, white, fit, short (5'7 which is my disadvantage) and I normally roll solo. Well traveled and have been to Bogota and Medellin but wanted to check out Cali so gonna go check it out. I've read some mixed reviews and I think each guy is going to have his own opinion so I don't pay too much attention to the negative. I've lived in South America now for 2 years (Ecuador) and its insane, out of this world the ease of the game. I made a few tinder contacts in Cali so far so gonna go check it out. Will report back. BTW...staying in Granada, I was told thats a good neighborhood to stay in and by the looks of Tinder and other online info I found, it sounded pretty spot on.

Granada is good, plenty of restaurants and a couple of decent cafes although it can be quiet during the day and at night throughout the week, Cali is very much a weekend city. It’s more boring than Medellin and Bogota so try to find some activities to fill your time such as salsa lessons (they’ll come in handy), Spanish lessons, language exchange and city tours. Stop by a local hostel (barrio San Antonio is full of them) and you can find things to do. If you feel like slumming it a bit there’s some decent bars on nearby Avenida sexta, my favourite place for cheap beers is El Viejo Barril and there’s usually some young sluts a couple of blocks down across the street at El Mayor.
