yeah, we're starting off around SM and Barrington so we can either go to Moms first or walk to Cabo/Qs.....probably cabo since the drinks are 2:1 until 8.

what about that place on 14th/SM Blvd that used to be 14 below and then was "The Room" santa monica...is that anything at all or is it a "skip"?

I'm not sure if that place is even open anymore. I've been there twice, both many years ago. Wasn't impressed with the place at all, meaning specifically the girls. But remember, this was 4+ years ago.

Oh yeah, what about Wilshire restaurant? I heard that's pretty good sometimes at the bar? and they have that one place next to it that's always changing names too.

I'm not familiar with Wilshire restaurant brah. Can't help you there.

It could be worth checking out. It just reopened as some other spot again a friend was telling me but I haven't been. Sometimes the face lift brings in fresh blood for a bit even if it doesn't hold in the long run.

that's the zip code map. I'm in the medium pink zone by the beach, score.

Seems like Inglewood has a lot of single women, as does South Los Angeles and Cerritos.......

I'm a little skeptical - I'm betting that most or all of the pink areas are either cougars, college girls or non-white.

Pink:
MDR (old, college)
Malibu (old, college)
Culver City

Blue:
Downtown Santa Monica
Venice
Beach Cities (dark blue)
Silver Lake
Downtown (dark blue)
West Hollywood (light and dark blue)

Culver City is pretty pink though, not sure what it's like on the ground. Brentwood, especially around San Vicente and Montana/Bundy, always seems to have lots of cute, single 20-somethings, plus rich married MILFs.

I'd love to see this redone with single white 18-30 year olds. I'm guessing you'd see a whole lot less pink.

basil,

Culver City's not bad nowadays, especially downtown Culver City around the movie theater and that historical skinny building (the names evade me).

I'm 100% with you on the San Vicente && Montana/Bundy intersection. Incredible.

I'm loving this thread. When is our next forum meetup? I need some new wings to get out there and steamroll this town with me.

This video is awesome. Really captures this town. They exaggerate obviously, but the basic tenets are very true:

I'm gonna share with you guys my favorite spot in the city for streetside Mexican comida:

http://www.yelp.com/biz/tacos-arizas-no-title

I swear man, everyone that I take here becomes a new convert. I can't drive past Ecco Park without stopping at this spot. Cheap too. Like $4 dollars for the best carne asada quesadilla I've ever eaten. Load it up with all the fixings and it's the best deal in town. If there's any better spot for a late night real deal taco, do tell.

didn't end up going out last night. Traffic was horrendous as can be expected when Valentines is on a Thursday and by the time I got home, I was over it (cue: NY vs. LA thread).

Hardly ever in that area but I threw in a bookmark.

Tacos Leo on La Brea and Venice is my usual go-to spot for that kind of stuff. http://www.yelp.com/biz/tacos-leo-los-angeles

When in Hollywood I hit up El Gran Burrito on SM Blvd/Vermont.

Eastside I hit up Tacos Estrella near Highland Park.

Westside I usually do Cinco De Mayo next to Titos Tacos.

Southbay I do El Tarasco near Sharkeez in Manhattan Beach.

Daytime, I can't get enough of Guisados in Boyle Heights.

Tip for the boys- "UCLA or USC?"

Im at copa d'oro later in the night yesterday, and its a complete shit-show (per usual standards). Probably 3 guys to every 1 girl. Theres a group of young, hot looking girls dancing near the bar.

I tap my favorite on the shoulder and she doesn't even turn around. I tap her again, and she throws her shoulder off.

lol, attitude in this city.

Undetettered and slightly drunk, I persist- "UCLA or USC?"

Girl turns around and its like a complete 180 in personality. Friendly, cute, joking.

I guess LA-school rivalry is a great opener! who woulda thought...

When that place first opened it was a goldmine. I'd swear you can tell the age of a bar or club by its ratio, like the rings of a tree.

Sometimes I think we need a WWIII just to get favorable ratios in this country again.
Reply

Bungalow has better ratios, but I'm not sure many girls go there looking to fuck. Plus the lines are ridiculous.
Reply

The Los Angeles thread

Yea, spent 50 mins in line at Bungalow at 9.30pm. I only got about 1/2 way. There was a least another 12 feet of ppl. Horrible wait at Bungalow- I recommend going earlier than 9pm if you dont want to deal w/the line.

I didn't mind at all- I was having fun pre-gaming in line... I was drinking from a water-bottle of vodka, shooting the shit w/the hotties. That being said, it might be a good idea to stand in line for a bit, chat up some girls, and try to bounce them somewhere.

@speak-easy- no WWIII. Just mass starvation for about a month/every year. Almost like Ramadan.

We went to an after-hours diner in Thai-town last night (near Harvard and Stone). Shit was too funny. Karaoke+bomb thai food+ afterhours alcohol+ drunk people = pure hysteria.

Picture 3/4 of the restaurant eating thai food and drinking beer. But instead of pitchers and mugs, substitute teapots and teacups. Im watching the beer being poured and it has a similar color to tea, but its fizzy. bwahahaha.

Another funny thing is watching a table of 6 people cheers-ing teacups and taking teacups shots wasted.

PS- Blok and Icon are the spots for picking up fly asian clubbing girls. Pitch them on this after-hours concept. Its basically a done deal if you do (hits all 3 spots of every asian girl's dreams- food, more drinking and singing).
