Mikeymike - HGH is a very strong drug, I am not that obsessed to try it but it will transform your body like nothing else. A close friend took it and came of it because of some harsh side-effects, but like other steroids it depends on the quality you get.
Top Rock - you are so right, Steroids is not the problem it is the morons that take it and abuse it. Like anything else you have to do it in moderation, that applies to drinking, smoking, sex etc.
Also there is alot of misinformation here, one cycle will not do much and there are other factors that are just important, which is how you train and diet.

Steroids make you more susceptible to heart disease and other illnesses. Watch the Man Whose Arms Exploded. Theres no need for them. Everyone can reach an ideal size without them without risking taking years off their lives.
Greg Valentino's arms didn't exploit because of stereoids, not even close. His arms exploded because of excessive synthol abuse, which is far from being steroids but a sort of oil that some sick people use in order to create fake muscles, because the oil keeps the muscles flexed even when the muscle is relaxed

it was synthol,he jokes about it all the time on musculardevelopment.Check the forums.nobodys arms grew that big ever from "site" abscesses, pros get site abscesses all the time in their triceps/delts and glutes but they dont grow insanely huge just slighlty lumpy.have you seen roelly winklaar or phil heaths arms? they are huge and they both use synthol but still not the size of greggs.thats because gregg pumped about 10x times the amount into his arms....as a result, abnormal swelling and fascial tissue grew inside of the muscle and they ballooned up.he looked like shit and always has lol. he gets killed everytime he posts on md because he is a clown.

Wow, I haven't even replied to the thread I started...
In moderation I think a cycle every once in a while could be benifical if done properly, the common problem is the media portrayal of steroids, before the whole baseball/steroids thing who knew about juicing? not the average person...nowadays everyone is an expert, because of 'what they heard'

Lol 4 pages of this thread and no one mentioned a single steroid by name. They vary by strength and side effects, you know, and there are dozens of types.

I just read Anabolics by William Llewelyn.
I thought it was a really good introduction to the topic of which I knew nothing about.
It's grounded in science and clinical studies, so it kind of busts through all the bullshit perpetuated in the media and steroid-haters.
Far from now being a self proclaimed expert on the subject, I do feel as if I'm armed with a little more knowledge after reading the book.
It doesn't advocate for or against, but presents the facts in a clear, logical manner, which is all you can ask for.

That's good thinking. I set myself a goal- If I make it a year eating clean (with one cheat meal per week allowed), I'll go on a cycle. I have yet to achieve the goal, and it's been nine years. No point in juicing if you don't eat right.

This may sound silly, but is there any benefit to doing a cycle (or multiple cycles) while on a bodyweight training routine?
I don't lift weights, but I have been doing Convict Conditioning (which I like a lot and have been benefiting from) for the past 4 months.
Would you see gains in size from using Steroids or HGH in conjunction with a bodyweight routine, or mostly just strength gains? ... I know with weightlifting cycling roids can help pack on a lot of muscle...more quickly than just lifting.
I know a couple dudes who have done roids and they all had terrible acne and horrible mood swings - Can responsible steroid use prevent these side effects?
I'm sure this isn't the best forum for steroid inquiries, but if anyone has any deep knowledge/experience, it would be great to hear more.

Steroids and side effects aren't all the same, so which ones are you planning to use?

Steroids are not some crazy drug guys. They are for the most part derivatives of Testosterone. The heart of any cycle is a solid dose of testosterone. These are male hormones, nothing more. I've used off and on for 10 years and have had good experiences with their use. Side effects even at high doses of Testosterone are managed through the use of ancillaries like estrogen blockers and aromatase inhibitors. I go to an 'age management' doctor who has performed my hair transplant surgery, botox injections, dermal fillers, etc... This doc also prescribes Testosterone to men to boost their levels.
This type of treatment for men is becoming more and more common as we all age. When I use, I get blood work done to monitor myself and use the proper guards against side effects. You don't need to supplement crazy amounts of male hormones to get the benefits. In fact at some point, more doesn't equal better results just more side effects.
There are legal and responsible ways to use these wonderful compounds and reap amazing benefits from them. Women use female hormones all the time for a variety of reasons including birth control. Female hormone supplementation is encouraged in society while male hormone supplementation is maligned and pushed to the black market in most cases. For me Testosterone helps increases lean muscle mass, burns stomach fat, increases strength and makes me want to bang chicks all day. I also see an increase in confidence and aggressiveness. Not 'attacking people' kind of aggressiveness, just the desire to grab life by the ass and make it my bitch. My quality of life has been greatly increased by Testosterone therapy. I'm by no means a salesman, have no sources to offer and in now way advocate illegal activity on the part of anyone. I'm just sharing my experience.

100 mg of Deca_durabolin a week in total of one month is an effective treatment for rahitis in boys age 10. Scaled to a man's size, that would be a mild cycle that would have little to no side effects (a pimple more, some trouble sleeping or a bit higher blood pressure is all) and one could expect 10 lbs of muscle if he is a beginner juicer.
200 mg of testosterone enanthate a week during a year (note, typical cycles are 8-12 weeks) is considered a safe dose in Australia and Canada. In those countries it is legal to use these doses as a contraceptive (steroids shut down your balls, so your body produces no more sperm).
If used responsibly, steroids are way safer than sedatives, painkillers, tobbaco, alcohol, or sugar.
