Bojangles was kind enough to send me a review copy of new book "Desi Casanova", a game guide geared specifically at helping Indian men, based on his experience as a third(?) generation Indian who grew up in U.K and now traverses Europe's pussy hotspots.

Bojangles life story is an integral part of the work, and is coloured by cultural artifacts and anecdotes from having an Indian British background i.e how he was never a stud in high school and far from the captain of the cricket team [Image: lol.gif] On a more serious note, he lays bare how by the age of 25 he had only had sex with 2 girls and never had a long-term girlfriend, while being very shy and having had his spirit essentially crushed by his domineering father, before deciding to turn his life around and throw himself into self-improvement. I was pretty shocked by reading his story, having assumed an Indian player like Bojangles would have always been decent with women, or at the very least always had good social skills, rather than having to start from scratch and take an already difficult path with all of that extra baggage.

Desi Casanova does not engage in the feel good mantra's so common to game material. It does not shy away from spelling things out as they are, and offering concrete actionable methods to improve on them. The work touches on how minority men use race as an excuse to absolve themselves of blame for their lack of success. By writing their failure off on things they can't control like their race or height, their ego shields them from facing up to their actual "SMV". Desi Casanova is not however a book about how Indian men can be successful with white women, but women in general. As an aside, it's telling that race trolls fail to realize that in a diaspora community they should be doing even better with girls of their own race then white guys do with white girls, yet girls of their own race still don't give them the time of day. I've never met a Westernized Indian/Asian guy who was slaying it amongst his own race but couldn't replicate that inter-racially.

There are a lot of references and analogies to Indian culture, parenting styles and Bollywood in the book. Bojangles basically uses his familiarity with Indian culture to root out all the bullshit the culture has inflicted on it's men. The first half of the book is basically an extensive deprogramming of all the negative impacts of Indian culture, particularly on their inner game. The only thing I take away from these sections is that I'm glad I did not share the sort of harsh upbringing Bojangles, and that I had indeed underestimated the level of emasculating cultural programming most Indian men go through that fucks up their inner game. I have South Asian heritage but had a very Westernized upbringing and chill parents. I never really had any brown friends growing up, trouble socially or felt like race was a big factor dating white girls, although I'm above average looking and live in a pretty cosmopolitan liberal area. In many ways I feel very lucky to have had my upbringing after reading this book, and have a lot of respect for the level Bojangles is at now considering where he started from. Learning game is hard enough without being instilled with an inferiority complex or being crushed by the weight of your parents expectations.

The game, dating and sex section in Desi Casanova takes up the 2nd half of the book and is an excellent and comprehensive introduction to those areas. I'm not going to dwell too much on it here since it covers things anyone worth their salt here should already be familiar with. No RVF member here would find anything objectionable in his advice. The core aim of the Desi Casanova however is fixing the inner game issues specific to Indian men that hold them back and it is as successful in this endeavour as any book could be, instilling the right mindset in it's reader while stressing the importance of paying attention to things like style, hygiene and fitness that FOB Indian men in particular struggle with. Bojangles covers a great deal of territory in Desi Casanova's 100 pages. Everything from fixing the Indian mindset to how to approach girls to how to rock their world in the bedroom, it's all here, and not only is it hear but it's explained clearly and precisely.

The only other game products I've ever read were Bang and Day Bang a number of years ago, and as such are the only books I can use as a comparison for Desi Casanova. I would say Desi Casanova would not be suitable for a coconut: someone who grew up in the West, not attune to Desi culture, with a non-brown social circle and "normal" parents and would instead recommend just reading Bang if you feel like you wouldn't need cultural deprogramming. If you grew up in South Asia, or had strict traditional parents or a mostly brown environment or social circle, then you most likely have ingrained beta aspects of Desi culture, and Desi Casanova is the right tool to deprogram you and get you onto the right path, and taking advice from non-brown source would be useless. All in all, it is clear that Bojangles is the right man to help guys in that situation. Desi Casanova is the IRT antidote.

I'll be interested to read this. I've found the main thing holding south asians back is many are ultra ectomorphs. I was terrible at game until I had a semi decent build. I'll sometimes go a few months without working out heavy and my size reduces (i don't really get fat) and I can see my game suffer.

I don't think this is true at all, to be honest most guys who say they're ectomorphs or hard-gainers usually aren't eating or training right. A lot of Indian men are skinny because they're FOB vegetarians from a Third World country. Brown guys at my gym are the same size as the white guys, but there are a lot of East Asians and they are usually smaller/leaner.

Interesting. In DC I would say East Asians have better builds. Two of my good friends are east asians of decent natural build (i have known them for a long time, even pre fitness days) and both are 5'10-6'0 whilst I'm 5'7-5'8. I notice a lot more shorter south asian men, but then again that may be confirmation bias.

However I won't fault lizards for chasing height. I had a 5'11/6' once and if it were only up to me I would only be with 5'7-6'0 women (thin of course) - no question about that.

Not a fob (born and raised here) but you definitely have me nailed as a vegetarians. Can't seem to shake that. Also with South Asian predisposition to central obeseity/visceral fat accumulation, fitness is paramount for desi game IMO.

Indian men should not be bunched together for height. Height depends on what part of India your family is from – northerners tend to be taller. I’m a 5’10” Punjabi and I’m nothing out of the ordinary for a USA/Canada/UK born and raised Punjabi. I’m the shortest of my brothers – they’re all 6ft and above and the tallest is 6’3”. A Punjabi guy who lived across the street from me in UK is 6’6”.

The shitty Indian diet doesn’t help matters – if you take a guy from Punjab who’s 5’6” and raise his kids in the west, on a western diet then they’ll be the same height as the average western guy.

The short thing is a FOB thing, Western raised and they are tall, taller than Italians, Arabs etc. That's another thing with Asians, even in rich countries like Japan and Korea they are still manlets.

Well genetics also has a part in height. My mum 4'9 my dad is 5'6 I am 5'7. My dad's side is shorter while my mother's side is taller

Punjabi's are definitely taller, but it could be an income thing considering how poor India is. The Hindi belt and Bengal is Ethiopian level poor. I've read that in the U.K Bangladeshi's are statistically shorter than Indians and Pakistani's who are the same height. I've never met any Bangladeshi's so I can't comment but it makes sense.

It’s not an income thing, it’s genetic. UK born Punjabis are on average 2-3 inches taller than UK born Gujaratis and Bangladeshis. There’s a shitload of Bangaldeshis in certain parts of London, some of the street signs have Bengali writing:

I’ve been to Tokyo and Hong Kong, and I was a couple of inches taller than most of the men there. They’re rich people, so I guess it comes down to genes.

Saying Indians and Pakistanis are the same height is an over generalisation. Indian Punjabis and Pakistanis are the same height because they’re the same people, just a different religion.

The diet in India is terrible – even rich Hindus are malnourished because many are vegetarian.

Great review Deluge.

I helped Bojangles in the final stages of editing/proofing and thought the instructional parts were applicable to men of all backgrounds. Basic for guys on here perhaps, but very sound advice in general. The style part is also applicable to men in general too.

I reckon his daygame book (upcoming) will be mega. He's done it for years, and winged Krauser...so for Indian blokes (and guys in general), it's going to have a lot of great stuff.

On the height note, yes the Bengalis are smaller, it's just a genetical thing. Not really much to worry about if youre a beta indian mind you
