We don't know whether the girl's charges have been dropped and they may very well continue to pursue her, which would probably require the testimony of Jorge Pena. If the do try to get him to testify, he needs to make sure to get an immunity letter from the prosecution. Although they dropped his charges, they may be able to bring them back in the future (I doubt they would, but anything is possible), assuming it is done within a reasonable time and does not violate his right to a speedy trial. The immunity letter would prevent them from using against him anything which he says while testifying.

I just read in this article that the VICTIM of her attack is 6 foot 6 inches tall. This just reinforces the arrogance of western women. To berate and attack a man of this stature and not believe there would be a negative consequence highlights how entitled they truly are.

Oh, that's why Pena wasn't intimidated by the confrontation. He's a bouncer. The article says he still intends to pursue charges against the woman (Campbell). I assume Campbell is currently visiting a tattoo removal clinic to try to get Pena's fingerprints off of her face.

Not sure why Pena was in Jail for 4 days. It is true on the weekend things slow down. I am thinking that he might have been taken to the hospital for treatment and stayed there a bit.

This is a very important point and I see this all the time. All the police need to arrest someone is probable cause. Well most charges are dropped because:
1. prosecution finds out victim lieing
2. They refuse to support it. Without a complainant there is no assault charge. It is not a charge like disorderly conduct or disturbing the peace where the victim is the state itself.

At the least the mans got some representation now.

This guy's lawyers have PR down like a couple champs.

He's publicly stating that he will apologize to the woman for slapping her (because you should never hit a woman, something that the public needs to hear), while maintaining that he had no choice in the matter because he believed that she intended to and could have killed him. Ultimately, he's playing the PR line correctly, while admitting no fault and maintain the necessity of his actions, from both a legal and reasonable standpoint.

At the same time, his lawyers and looking to sue the city and possibly the girl, if it's determined that she has liability for his injuries and/or resulting allegedly false imprisonment.

Brilliant.

Depending on how this turns out, this may end up being a major victory for men in America.

And he's the right man for the job. He demonstrated restraint, limited his actions to that which was arguably entirely necessary and justified. The open handed slap puts him in a very ideal position.
