I do if they're real leather and the stitching looks right. I don't like shiny shoes though.

These are my go to jeans casual shoe (Clae). These get more compliments than any other shoe I have owned (I don't know why). They are ok, but after my first week wearing them I went back to the shop and bought another pair to put away for when my current pair gets worn out.

I like these for the casual jean look.

When you are Looking also look at these two brands.

1. Mark Nason: Boots and shoes both ( Expensive but everybody notices ) First time I saw some one wearing them , I had to stop that man and ask him...... and I also saw a Girl Opening him and complimenting on his shoe.

2.Robert Wayne: I have 2 pairs and get tons of compliments on both.

Happy Hunting.......

Good suggestion with Robert Wayne. I was looking for something wild and stylish like Nason stuff. I've already got some Nason boots but nowadays they seem to be more expensive then ever. Less quality looking boots are all $400+. I got may pair a year ago for $250 and the craftmanship seems better.

RW has got some cool unique stuff... good recommendation. Relatively cheap too... I'll get a few pairs.

Here's a great resource for not too expensive dress/designer shoes: Yoox

There's a ton of variety on the site, lots more than I have here.

I ordered three pairs, which all happened to be from the same maker, Ciro Lendini. Quality is comparable to Cole Haan, and cost $70-100 on sale, I'd say, plus better design in my opinion. The site has tons of different brands, and they can be a little obscure and hard to get data on. Ciro Lendini has a couple of good reviews around the net. The Thompson brand also looks promising, but I haven't found good data on them. These brands are definitely a lot more obscure, so it's unlikely to see other people wearing them if that's a concern to you.

Here are the shoes I got:

$69, on sale.

$98, on sale.

$98 on sale.

Here's one I've been eyeing. I may return the last Ciro one, and get this one instead, either at the current price of $135, or wait for it to go on sale.

Here's a nice pair of boots, $165:

Salvatore Ferragamo. I was given a pair, which are slightly too big for me. So freakin' comfortable though, and look really classy! My last two suit purchases weren't custom, although my next ones will be. These shoes REALLY set the suit off, and make you feel straight money!

+1 to the dudes mentioning clarks wallabees. they're awesome but i'm not a fan of how big the gum sole is. feels like i'm wearing platform shoes.

i've been getting into the suede desert treks though. work well with some casual clothes (some raw denim and a tee) and for semi-formal occasions.

Bump.

Let's see some more shoe pics.

Laner?

I'm trying to replenish my tiny wardrobe (hey got to fit it in a backpack) but it's hard as hell to find shoes that fit me out here. My feet not so long but pretty wide.

Anyways, just curious what others are wearing. Surprised there's not more shoe intel here.

I'll see how I like them and send them back if I don't. Different enough from what I have that I don't feel so guilty about buying them. They are leather soled, so if I take care of them, they should last. Not the biggest fan of rubber sole on more expensive shoes.

The problem I have with AE's is that, while they look great in pictures, when you see them in person they're really pretty meh.

Usually bust these out in summer, bit fruity but they look good with chinos or smart shorts:

I don't like that buckle, I had a similar pair of ecco's and they wore out way too fast because of the buckle. the other pair is probably awesome though.
