Check out the podcast linked up on the right margin on my site

http://americaninnorthkorea.com/

we recorded it with Neil Strauss and Jordan Harbinger of the pickup podcast while in North Korea - much more authentic than Vice since we were trying to tell the truth of the experience.

jferris, are you American? If so, how did you get in? I have heard two things, but they have been through the grape vine: Bribe Chinese officials at the consulate in China...or spend 3-4K in Seoul for an official tour. I am going to be in SKorea for a while can you PLEASE elaborate? I would kill to get into that country! If too specific, PLEASE PM with information

I'm pretty sure he was joking.

Damn, jferris on the forum. I have Young Pioneers in my fb feed so I've seen you popping up in photos all over the place. I think the last photo I saw of you was in Nagorno-Karabakh, right?

What was Style like to hang out with and did he run game on any NK chicks?

Style mentioned in an email a while ago that he went to NK but hasn't said anything about it since. I've been waiting to hear more about that. I have 0 intention of going there even though I live a few hours away by train.

I can picture that story now, "There I was, walking through NK when suddenly soldiers started kicking the shit out of me because I took a picture of the wrong thing..."

Nice, yeah I had learned about this thread and was rather amused by it, finally joined up so I could add a little input.

I'm now an administrator on the Young Pioneer Tours facebook page, I just posted those Iran and Nagorno-Karabakh pics [Image: smile.gif]

Neil was cool, he brought his own girl in - the funniest thing was some North Korean dude started running game on his girl right in front of him. We were at the fun fair and this North Korean guy was telling her how he would like to get to know her better, there was a group of North Korean women close by watching and had the body language showing that they were not amused.

It was surreal, a North Korean guy ran game on the GF of the guy who wrote the book Game - lol. Only in North Korea!

As a journalist/major writer, getting a visa for him was difficult, he came in strictly for a vacation and part of the condition of getting the visa was that he would never write about it, and he hasn't.

Like I mentioned in this thread, he did do a podcast with us inside North Korea, you can find it linked on the right side margin on my blog: http://americaninnorthkorea.com/

Possible NK openers:

"Excuse me, can I get a female opinion on Juche ideology?"

"Pardon, do you guys know where I can find the museum of the Great Patriotic War for the Liberation of the Fatherland?"

"Hey, are you reading the collected works of the Great Leader, Guiding Light to All Humanity, Highest Incarnation of the Revolutionary Comradely Love, Eternal President of the DPRK, Kim il Sung?"

There is a way to get laid in North Korea, the Chinese basement of the Yanggakdo has the "Golden Springs Island Sauna" which is basically a Chinese brothel.

From my Flickr: Welcome to basement floor #1 of the Yanggakdo International Hotel of Pyongyang, the one and only red light district open to foreigners in all of North Korea. Don't expect to find any North Koreans in this shady area, this floor is forbidden to residents and staffed only by Chinese workers. Here the adventurous can party at the Egypt Palace Karaoke and Nightclub, try their luck at the Casino Pyongyang, and get a naughty Chinese massage in the VIP room of the Golden Spring Island Sauna. While this all sounds like a Hangover movie in the making, in reality don't expect too much, during my visit to basement floor #1 I found the nightclub closed, the casino empty and depressing, and the naughty massage parlor simply intimidating.

Yeah, I guess I missed the tittle there. Still haven't gotten a chance to read up, but I'm gonna check it out tonight.

Yeah I'm in Colombia, and tell me about it man. My liver hates me right now. The last year or so I only really drank an average of about once a week. Since I started my vacation in Colorado, I've pretty much been drinking 4 or 5 days a week. All my friends went back from all over the world and we hardly get to meet up like that. It's been wild. Then here, I have really nothing I have to do. I worked hard last year and now I'm treating myself. It's hard to stay away from the party in Medellin, with beer being so cheap and having so many options just right up the street. It's a fun place.

Been to Medellin a coupe times, I enjoyed the local party scene there, Zona Rosa was too ritzy for me, overall I'm more of a Bogota and Santa Marta man myself.

Close by in the Peru Amazon is the city of Iquitos - that place is epic fun with girls tossing themselves at you [Image: smile.gif]

Nice, I might have to check that spot out, thanks for the advice. I just came to find out that in Feb. Machu Picchu is closed, so that put a damper on my plans. My buddy that's living there said that there were a ton of other great spots around Peru. My time in Medellin was focused mostly on partying and chasing tail, but in Peru I'm focusing more on seeing cool stuff and checking out the culture.

Cool - you can fly down to Leticia, a small Colombian town on the Amazon and hop a slow boat up to Iquitos, and do the same from Iquitos to the first road connection.

Iquitos is half a million people where all the guys are off working in the jungle so its just full of lonely good looking gals. There are a bunch of fresh water lakes with beaches around the city, good for a Sat or Sunday relax after a night of clubbing - there will be girls there. Come the week grab a guide and hit the jungle.

The city is pretty cool, it was an rubber boom town back in the day, now its a bunch of crumbling mansions.

I don't gamble much - I lost $20 bucks on blackjack there, and they have a baccarat table, and variety of unplugged slog machines - with serial number tags from the USA, honestly I don't remember the other table games.

Its a super dodgy casino, something strait out of James Bond [Image: wink.gif]
