Oh, was it? My bad.[Image: dodgy.gif] I knew the guy's name started with an R. I could've sworn I remembered it was Roissy...nevermind. But it's still a good quote.

Man, this forum has no idea how useful Rousseau is. He's a lot to read, but the shit he says describes human nature almost perfectly. And no, you won't find a good description of his philosophy on Wikipedia. Probably the most misunderstood philosopher around today.

Notice how on this girl's chart, she lists some of the ideal men in the 27-28 year old zone... the "marriage zone" of Solomon II. Interesting how both viewpoints coincide.

Also interesting to how she admits to dating mostly older men even though she knows she has no chance with them!

And finally, the older ones. These men have been my personal bread-and-butter, actually -- if you graduated from high school in the early-to-mid-'90s, I probably have gone on a date with you at some point. Call it the "Acceptably Naughty" factor -- there is nothing in practicality wrong with dating a 35-year-old when you're 28. But for some reason, I think about you being a collegiate 20-year-old when I was an angsty 13-year-old listening to the Toadies on my Walkman in my bedroom and thinking about how my parents just didn't get me, and the whole thing just feels forbidden and awesome.

I don't think you can. The only way is to do the work yourself, and read Emile.

The book is almost 1000 pages (for normal size pages), and it took me 2 months to read. You could read the book yourself, which is also extremely complex and full of subtlety, or you could just wait for my blog which will be started sometime this year.

I remember this dude's blog being posted about at SS.

Give me one check for the "not bitter" catagory. I could hardly be happier really. My main source of bitterness these days comes from dudes, and how they are poisoning the game in various ways. I really miss what the PUA community used to be like many years ago, I lament that it grow into this weird self-help community versus ego-fest.

The real problem about being good with women is eventually you can't pick because you know so many women you WOULD marry. Then you start trying to see if the girls you like are interested in polygamy, at least until they reach age 40, when it's time to recycle.

Long story short, went to one of the happy hours she set up for her blog (which, for d.c., actually produced decent ratios, granted the quality wasn't that great) and she was bouncing around introducing herself.

So basically for someone of her looks (below average-average and overweight) with ego and expectations of an 8, she will continue to get pump and dumped for a couple years before getting no attention whatsoever.

Granted DC women love her (i actually bumped into a friend's gf at said event) and will continue to inflate her ego for years to come ensuring she will stay single.

I was just looking up this thread yesterday, I still love those graphs. Apparently a spinster who has no desire to have children will not even realize her declining value until late 30s. Those who are actually trying to have a family with kids will realize her market value decline much early on.

Bunches of great stuff but like so many other PUA bloggers he sounds so bitter and conflicted over women. I can't relate to that at all.

Same here. I really enjoyed his writing on philosophical topic, but as soon as he starts talking about women, I can't help myself but dismiss it all as "bitching". Makes me thinking whether he prays to false gods and hates himself for that.

But, after all, it supports my theory that the better you become in the game, the more difficult it will be for you to keep a real fulfilling relationship.

Context is important here too, guys.

As I've noted in other threads, location matters when it comes to gender dynamics. It is true that many PUAs sound quite bitter/angry or have views of women that sound cynical, cold and calculating.

It is also true that most PUAs you know are also concentrated in just a few places. The vast majority of them are American, and they're concentrated in major cities like LA, NYC, Boston and Washington DC, with the occasional Londoner and Torontonian thrown in.

Their attitude is largely a reflection of their environment. You will find it harder to relate to if you come from an environment(i.e. Stockholm, Kiev, Minsk, Paris, Brazil, etc) where the dating market for men is much less dysfunctional and gender relations are healthier and radical, American-style feminism is not pervasive.

There is a reason why so many well known PUAs (Gmac, Roissy/Heartiste, Roosh, Virgle Kent, The Rookie, etc) are concentrated in DC, and not in Chicago, Dallas or St. Louis. It isn't as though you don't need game in those cities (PUAs are there), but its is generally agreed that gender relations in these places are less dysfunctional. Guys there can get further without the cynicism and the cold, calculating approach to women because the environment is healthier, and they have a better chance of getting what they want.

Bottomline: If you'd spent most of your life in a place like NYC or DC, you'd quite likely relate to this more.

^this guy is definitely worth a lot of respect, and probably extremely dangerous player to watch out for/hard to compete with. Thank you Athlone for this comment, which shows that unlike many players out there, you have an idea of what its like for some us who live in "warzones" when it comes to game.

I've been in a warzone myself for the past few years, albeit a much smaller one. It isn't too hard for me to relate.

Know your enemy and know yourself, find naught in fear for 100 battles. Know yourself but not your enemy, find level of loss and victory. Know thy enemy but not yourself, wallow in defeat every time.
