Yeah, but about the "why hate" complaint, that is exactly my point. I don't hate at football players, Olympic runners, famous singers, actors, even politicians and etc., because all of these professions require work, dedication and creativity. Sure, I will call it superficial when girls flock to guys like that simply on the basis on their fame, but I respect the fact that these guys had to work hard to achieve that fame.
Whereas DJs had to... download some free software and face-smash a soundboard in a random club. Using other people's music.
Therefore, my main objection to DJs is not fame, but becoming famous by doing nothing at all. Just like I would not complain about a Harvard grad making lots of money, but I would be pretty mad if that Harvard grad cheated on all the exams.

You have to realize, that's like the electronic music hall of fame right there. You take the top grossing artists of the past two decades of an entire popular genre of music and yeah, there's gonna be some ballers. Being surprised at that is like being surprised that rock stars have lots of money and get laid easy. The guys on that list are mega rock stars, just not of rock.
You also have to realize for every one of them there's thousands of guys hustling and not getting much attention, just like every other artistic endeavor. Especially now that the barrier to entry has never been lower.
I really like electronica and I like to mess around with producing it, I just can't get my head around the performance part of it. I know there's shit you can do to mix it up and keep it fresh on stage, but at the end of the day that music lives and dies on a computer and will never truly be something that can be "performed" in a traditional sense. So I'm more drawn to instruments, but who knows. Maybe at some point I'll just say fuck it and give it a shot.
And there's a conspicuous lack of DJ Roosh weighing in on this thread from his time on the circuit.

Myself, I'm not interested in hating on anyone... Obviously actually producing music and doing creative live mixing require some skill and talent, though whether it's really comparable to say writing a novel or playing concert violin I'm not sure. (Christian Marclay is a different story, he's a bona fide artist and a very good one.)
The point is that even no-talent small-time djs, doing the kind of stuff any one of us could go out and replicate tomorrow evening, can get the kind of female attention most men would kill for. Saying that it requires no skill isn't 'hating', it's just an honest assessment of the situation.

I've been around some of these DJs. They're douche bags to the core. I was at a part with Afrojack for example. He burned his finger picking up a candle and complained and iced his finger like a little spoiled bitch the whole party. When I met him he got upset that I didn't know who he was. Give me a fucking break. I've seen all the hot names in Vegas including Mr. Tiesto and it's ALLL THE SAME. Mike CF just because you like that music and think there are big differences in style or whatever, doesn't mean these guys are "talented" and just because we recognize it isn't anything more than the musical version of a rhinestoned affliction shirt doesn't mean we're "hating".

Remember, a lot of these guys started out in the days of vinyl, which progressed to CDs, and now it's digital playlists. The younger guys coming up behind them probably started in CDs, and the guys behind them are strictly digitals. So don't hate too hard on the older cats...
Whether a guy is actually alpha in personality or not, he's in the alpha position when he's behind the tables/laptop. He's at the front of the room, physically elevated above all others. He controls the whole mood of the room, and by what he plays can determine whether or not you have a good time to an extent. The culture has elevated these guys to celebrity status, and they've been able to build followings. In this culture people become celebs for doing a lot less. Even if you don't consider it a TALENT, they do provide an in-demand service.

These DJs, on average, are probably more intelligent, hardworking, and deserving than your average pop star, who makes way way way more money than any of them.
Using ableton live, for example, takes time, EVEN if you're just mixing other people's stuff together.
Hating on these guys is lame. Especially when pickup guys hate on dudes with status who are getting laid, that's just pathetic.
Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but guess what. Lots of dudes with high status, got their position based on things other than just ability, such as connections, or just pure luck that they were in the right spot at the right time.
What, you think all CEOs get their job because they were the most qualified?
But when people see DJs, they criticize them and say "someone else could do it". That's true of damn near anything.

I don't doubt that those numbers are exaggerated but a little anecdote for you;
This past new years Avicii (who is arguably the biggest DJ in the game right now) played 2 shows. He started in Niagara Falls and played a huge convention center with tickets starting at $100+. Shortly after the countdown he flew to NYC and played another big show for a couple of hours.
These guys perform like crazy and the top guys sell out massive arenas and festivals comparable to top rock stars.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure these dudes are all quite well compensated. I'm just saying that the numbers you see may still not necessarily be accurate, and don't have a lot of substantial verification. Many on that website seem just kind of thrown up there, though some are substantiated.
Like I said, a grain of salt (or two...or three thousand) can be useful here.
