If I knew the top DJs were making this kind of scratch I'd have spinning records starting in elementary school.

There's only 30 here, but number 300 is pulling 8s, 9s and some 10s for sure.

Example.

My best friend in high school is the personal trainer for a DJ in LA, who was bigger in the 90's and last decade. He DJ'd, had a radio show, produced, remixed for some really big name artists like Madonna, Britney Spears etc., etc. Shit music, but it made him rich.

When his personal assistant had to miss some trips to other parts of the country (He somehow never missed overseas shows) my friend would go on the trips as his assistant.

So, one such trip/long weekend, they came to St. Louis when I was living there. I also joined them in Indianapolis (Sat. night) and Columbus (Sun. night).

I -- simply a hanger on, who toted a few boxes of merch and set up some tables where they were to be sold and basically just hung out got laid all three nights.

It was insane the crazy shit we could get hot, hot 18-21 year olds to do for a shirt or a CD -- and the small chance to go to the DJs after party. Because, apparently, every DJ has an after party.

In St. Louis, about 20 girls came back to his hotel suite. I banged a solid 8 on the bathroom sink. Little brunnette about 18 or 19. I figured that would be the highlight of the weekend.

In Indy the next night. My friend and I ran the merchandise area when the DJ played. I started off slow, because I felt a little guilty giving this dude's shit away. Things like wiggle your ass, shake your tits back and forth. By later in the evening, after I said, "fuck it, when will this happen for me again." I was saying, "Let me put my hand down your shorts and see if your wet enough to deserve a CD." Or "Oh, you want a shirt. OK, let me finger your pussy behind the table." Boom. They didn't hesitate.

Back in the suite, it was incredible watching about a dozen 9s all trying to compete and outdo each other. They all wanted to screw the DJ, but they had no idea he was in another suite on the phone with his wife and soon fast asleep. Two were in skirts. I said, "I bet you won't take your panties off and leave them for the DJ." It was like they raced to slide them off. Later, one was sitting on the bed and I was on a chair halfway across the room. I motioned for her to spread her legs a little. She did. I gave her a thumbs up.

By this time I was as bold as ever. I motioned the hottest girl on to the balcony, asked if she wanted to meet the DJ. Of course, she is almost giddy with delight over the prospect. I simply said, "He likes me to see what's up with a girl before he meets her. She took my hand, we went into the kitchenette area and she blew me with gusto. Then she let me do pretty much anything I wanted. I pulled some things out of the porn playbook that I never tried on "regualr hookups."

My friend was having a three-some, while five or six other girls watched. It was surreal.

All for the chance to meet a fucking DJ.

The next night in Columbus, same stuff. It was incredible having that much power (none of earned either) over seriously desirable chicks.

It was a little tricky when we had to kick them out and they never got to meet or do the DJ. Lots of, "Sorry, he has an early flight. He was about to come over too. I guess his set really tired him out."

It was one of my best weekends. Oh yeah, and the DJ gave me $2,000 for helping out in Indy and Columbus. I gave away at least 50 CDS's and shirts, but I didn't give any of the money back. I felt bad for a moment, but he made over $100K for the weekend. I doubt he missed it.

Yeah I don't get the whole DJ thing. It's not like it's a musical instrument or anything. It takes years and years of practice and dedication to play guitar well. These guys are just good at making playlists of popular songs. I'd hardly call that musicianship. Seems to draw huge crowds though. [Image: dodgy.gif]

Honestly I find the rankings surprising.

As a dude who doesn't listen to any electronic music, the only artists on here that I regularly see promoted or talked about are Guetta and Skrillex.

Guess it's one of those niche things you don't understand unless you're into it.

A lot of these DJs also do production work as well. Either producing their own tracks or working on tracks for artists. They produce a lot of remixes too. So it's not entire just playing music at clubs. I'm just surprised at what some of these guys have amassed. The top 10 have networths of A-list actors.

Now most Dj's are clowns with the Itunes play lists. But back ion teh day you put in solid hours getting your craft right and was rewarded for it. My homies has put in 10 + years but now has women falling at his feet. He just dials one up or picks one up after a gig.. easy as pie. He put in his work though. Those weekends he stayed in to practice and not go out he is banking off off now.

Djing is so polluted now but its easy DHV if you have a skill for it.

Great story. Wish I knew who this DJ was. What kind of music was it? I'm sure you can tell at least that. If I could live any type of lifestyle tomorrow, I'd be an international house DJ. I couldn't imagine any better lifestyle.

This is a powerful lesson for the blue pill, beta, "Nice Guys" out there, and a good way to force Red Pill acceptance.

For each of these hot, kinky cumsluts going out of their way to impress the DJ, there are probably 3, 4, maybe 5 or more guys out there in Columbus (or Indianapolis, or St. Louis) who were subsequently holding her up on a pedestal and wholeheartedly convinced that their individual girl was "not like that". Their conviction isn't hard to understand-according to the descriptions given, these girls probably weren't hardened hookers/strippers or pornstars, but rather young, pretty looking co-eds from middle America-not necessarily the kind of girl you would expect to engage in such kink/debauchery upon first glance. That, and they probably weren't raised to understand the real deal.

To the, these girls are princesses, future girlfriends and wives. To HeyPete, the DJ, and the rest of his entourage, they're cum dumpsters and easy sextoys. The other gameless men continue to pedestalize them, unaware of their real exploits and ignorant of the fact that these young women (like most of their peers in this society) don't really want to be on that pedestal in the first place. They'd rather party, travel, have fun with their friends, and hook up with hot (hopefully famous) guys. They'd rather be the hoe, not the housewife that so many of the young, naive, idealistic young dudes have been raised to want to turn her into.

To the young "nice guys" out there (I was one of you 2/3 years ago, I know exactly where you're coming from): which position would you rather be in? Do you want to be the "hot/interesting" guy banging these girls on the bathroom counters on a whim? Or would you prefer to be the "nice guy" that said girl keeps in the dark while she fucks that "hot/interesting" dude on the bathroom counter?

The choice is yours...

Know your enemy and know yourself, find naught in fear for 100 battles. Know yourself but not your enemy, find level of loss and victory. Know thy enemy but not yourself, wallow in defeat every time.

If it's just playing iTunes, why not become DJs?

Have two good friends who DJ. I know it's more, but saying, "It's just iTunes" is actually a troll on message boards where people discuss the scene.

I could say, "Roosh just has a blog. He just strings words that he didn't even invent into paragraphs using a rules of grammar and usage that he didn't even create. OMG LMFAO What a looooooser!"

That'd be a really silly thing to say. But, really, isn't that all he has going for him? He just types a few words on a screen?

I'd never say such silliness because it's not true and because it'd be hating.

Many DJs are more talented, making more money, and getting way more pussy than probably anyone on this board. There's no need to hate on them for doing what you can't.

Agaig, though, if it's just iTunes...What's stopping you from doing it?

Let's be clear. DJing is a craft, not an art. playing tracks in a particular order, which is essentially what most DJs do, can have a powerful immediate effect, but it is not on the same level as someone like Charlie Parker, Bach, Django Reinhardt, or many other great musicians.

Anything that involves mixing shit together makes a DJ a Producer.

That takes them out of the realm of just "DJ." That list is kind of stupid. If Bill Gates makes a playlist on his winamp, than he is a DJ that is worth more than all of those guys combined.

They may have other musical endeavors beyond spinning tracks, but the later is what they are actually famous for. As in someone who can draw the largest crowds spinning on New Years Eve at the top clubs in Vegas or London.

Unless that list is a calculation of what they made Djing, specifically, the money could be coming from all sorts of endeavors.

The Chemical Brothers were a pop act / producer team in the late-90s, and I believe that is where most of their money came from.

All that stuff sounds the same to me.

A lot of those guys money probably comes from a lot of things other than DJing.

The guy Steve Aoki has restaurants, other stuff. There's a basketball video game you can make him your player. But what I know for a fact pays him is clothes and shoes. I bet a lot of those guys have as many shirt and shoe deals as NBA players.

When Paul Oakenfold was in Hawaii I actually went to it. There were a ton of people at a big outdoor concert type place. The tickets were between 30 and 50 dollars, but the VIP was insanely expensive. I went with some people that got a private tent where all the DJ's did a little meet and greet but it DID NOT include any drinks. I think the guy paid 5k for the tent. Of course there were tons of girls, but no different than you'd see at a regular club on a weekend.

And how come DJ Pauly D is not on that list?

Aloha!

i love this story!

couple of years ago i was in a strip club in montreal. i told this russian stripper that i was into house music and she said she and a another girl in the strip club both hooked up with Tiesto when he was touring montreal

it's so f*cked up to think that a lot of us (including me) spend most their time in some corporate cubicle behind a computer when this is really the kind of stuff i wanna be doing

I'm sure that #3000 is doing pretty well too. Nothing to match HeyPete's story, but I know a few small time semi pro DJs – they're basically washed up guys in their 40s and 50s with no looks, no money, no achievements, no game, not even any social skills really. Even so, they constantly have attractive girls from teens up clustering around them when they put on their (not very fashionable) nights. And like Athlone suggests, it's not just party sluts – I'm amazed that normal, levelheaded girls will go gaga over someone just because he's a DJ. If these guys weren't spinning records, they'd be shit-tested into oblivion.

And these guys are betas at heart – they hardly take advantage of the situation, and are in LTRs most of the time. Still, at their ages they've probably racked up triple figures and are relatively swimming in pussy. I'm sure a younger man, playing more fashionable music, getting a slightly higher profile, and most importantly having some tight game, could absolutely clean up. I've been listening to a lot more dance music lately and thinking about how I might start doing this on the side.
