AIRBNB operates in places where they are forbidden. Just google places where they´re not allowed to operate. And afterwards see if they are offering houses there.
Because they are operating under the law in many cases. Like most of this burning cash startups. They need to appease the elite and also keep a low profile. Anything which can bring a spotlight on them is frown upon. They also have the hotel lobby on their back.
Their customer service is shit.
About refunds it´s not BNB who pays them. It´s the hosts. Because they have no entry barriers the supply of hosts allows them to give reason to guests. There are websites dedicated to scam hosts through BNb policy.
Besides pro bono you can hire lawyers quota litis. Basically the lawyer takes care of everything and later instead of receiving legal fees he receives a part of the compensation for damages. You contact the lawyer and say here´s what happened I will give you x% of the compensation but you cover all costs. This might be illegal in some places. So check jurisdiction. You can also do a quota palmaris. Give a bit and rest as compensation. I´ve just hired a lawyer quota litis to collect a debt.
Just guessing and now I´m speculating and have no idea if this is one of the reasons. I would guess BNB is afraid of you using one of their houses to do a meeting.
As a consequence of BNB ban you have been constraint, even though in a minor fashion, on your freedom of movement.

Absolutely disgusting. What's next, banning Roosh from Target? Amtrak? Hospitals? If I can ever book something in your name, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Most tech companies are like that now. I think their long term plan is the "too big to fail". When tech stocks start crashing down to $0 the mainstream public will be begging the government to bail them out or nationalize them. After all I know a ton of people who'ld have a nervous breakdown if Google Map and YouTube and Facebook stopped working all of the sudden.

I booked an Airbnb this week.
When I arrived it was nothing like the pictures or descriptions.
I stayed one night and cancelled, thinking FOR SURE Airbnb will refund.
They won't.
I strongly recommend all RVFers book alternatively accommodation. These guys are taking the piss.
Someone can misrepresent a listing, leave the place stinking of piss, and keep your money.
Airbnb think they've got the market locked down and don't need to provide basic service.
Fuck 'em.

I used airbnb regularly until about 2013 or so. These days you usually can find an equal or even better deal on hotels.com, booking.com, expedia, etc. And like some other members already mentioned: having to deal with sucky/dirty/lying hosts isn't really all it's cracked up to be. If I'm not happy with my hotel room I'm usually able to get my way by complaining to the staff or management. And they are also able to supply me with a new room if necessary. Try that with airbnb when you realize that the owner posted false fotos or the place is filthy as fuck.
So it may be for the better, Roosh. Plus why would anyone want to keep giving their hard earned money to an organization that publicly pushes a globalist/feminist agenda?

If we're talking about the appeal/value airbnb has, I think it has one thing going for it that really has not been challenged by anyone else yet. The medium term rental market. People describe things in short versus long term for rentals, but I don't think many people realize there is a medium demand that is being heavily met by this company.
I'm a big hotels.com fan myself. It is my priority site with airbnb really as a back-up if I find better value on there. What I like about both when booking accommodation is the flexibility of options while also saving money and collecting rewards in hotel's case. However, where airbnb really loses its advantage to me is when 1-2 people want to book a place for a week or less. The consensus I find in every destination is that I don't stay long enough to really crack the deals. Where airbnb is good for short term stays is with big groups of 6-8 people that want to stay in one place for a week or less. Hotels don't have many budget option rooms to accommodate that many people. Most times those people would have to split up into a few rooms and probably not save money doing it.
But, with the rise of nomads, backpackers, remote workers, longer term travelers, and more information and flights to international destinations, people want the option to stay longer somewhere. Almost all hotels do not offer significant discounts for month or longer stays. I have tried in certain places with no luck. Airbnb really gets back ahead here with offering a discount for people who stay a month or longer. There seems to be a sweet spot of 1-3 months that airbnb nails.
Guys on the ground in other countries tell me that after three months somewhere and you know your way around, the advantage starts to disappear again with locals more willing to rent out to people for six months to a year. With the service fees on airbnb and more global exposure to keep prices more friendly to landlords, I'd imagine it gets tough to compete there.
I'm not sure where I stand on the privacy and convenience factor with airbnb. The same complaints above could easily happen renting on the ground. In the US, some landlords ask for credit checks and background checks before renting. Also on the ground, there could definitely be issues you don't know about the place before booking, deposits are sometimes difficult to get back, and there's an increased chance of added fees/bills. But with hotels and local landlords, there's not a big corporate monopoly factor. Even with some chains dominating the hotel market, there are at least other competitors. Airbnb really has no one else keeping them in check besides local cities that might not want them there. Another problem is if you get rejected, the consequences are definitely greater on airbnb shutting you out of more places. With that said though, the latter can happen in certain hotel chains and local renting environments.
As far back as I could remember, I always wanted to be a player.

File a complaint against Airbnb in the DC Human Rights Commission for denying a public accommodation based on any or all of the listed factors in the DC Human Rights Act. They are very broad, and the complaint process is easy.

Maybe your account was deactivated for security reasons? Like not logging for a while? Terms of Service changed many times in the last 2 years. Last year I had to upload a "selfie". Maybe you have to fill a form with a bunch of personal information, take a selfie and god knows what else. It says the account was deactivated, not deleted/banned.
Maybe it's a false positive. But knowing how Silicon Valley works...
If they're banning you, I wonder what is gonna be their excuse. Your beard might be too masculine for them.

I should note that I’ve stopped using them after noticing that I started running into a preponderance or lefty nut jobs as hosts. I had one with an obviously trans “daughter” who wrote me a flame after I only gave em 4 stars on one category.

Airbnb and regular hotel prices have now converged. It was good at the beginning, though.

I was banned from AirBnB as well for leaving a "racist" review on an apartment.
Story: First time in Johannesburg, found a studio with only 5 star reviews for a low price. I book it. When I drive to the apartment I end up in probably the shadiest neighbourhood I've ever seen with my own eyes (I read later that it's Johannesburg's most dangerous neighborhood, called Hillbrow). I leave a review saying: "Nice apartment but be very careful as the area is very sketchy. There is no parking so you may have to walk. If you're not black it'll be even worse as you will stick out like a sore thumb".
My review was deleted and later on my account.
By the way, if you don't want to use AirBnB then you can try VRBO. Also booking.com has a lot of the same properties as AirBnB does. Just filter your search to "apartments" only. It's easier too as you get a booking confirmation right away.
