Yesterday, there was a gift rep thread out there and I thought, why not give a datasheet for Christmas and to have another one on here to start for 2018. I've lived around this area for a lot of my life, so I know a lot of the ins and outs of Jersey.
A few people have made datasheets on here on Jersey, but I don't think they captured the vibe of the entire state well and really limited it to a few shore towns. These are useful datasheets, but I think Jersey has more to offer as a state for information here. Another thing, all of the previous Jersey datasheets are a few years old. I'm not going to say they're definitely outdated, but a more current one can't hurt.
Full disclosure, I'm a mid-20's guy that's white, over 6 feet tall, and running with beard game.
Broad State Info
Jersey in a weird way can be a very divided state at times and it has more layers than people realize. It's divided because the north and south have different identities. The two main reasons for this are sports and environmental surroundings.
Sports is a factor because the north feels more connected to New York and the south is more connected to Philadelphia. The reasons for both make sense, but it leads to a lot of disagreement because there's different attitudes from both cities and they are normally rivals on the field. The environment is because the north are mostly Tier 2-3 cities and suburbs that obviously get overshadowed by Manhattan while the south tends to center around the Shore Towns. Economically, the south relies on tourism from out of state people and northern Jersey residents and is more blue collar overall while the north is a little more white collar with a lot of people working in Newark, Hoboken/Jersey City, and commuting to Manhattan every day.
Economically, property rates and taxes are among the highest in the country so it is hard to find a truly cheap place to live, but because a lot of people work in the cities, income tends to be better too. However, Jersey is without a doubt more expensive in the north with the exception of beach houses right by the water in the south. In towns like Jackson for example in southern Jersey, you can get a more spacious house and yard for the same price as a smaller one in the northern part of the state.
Despite a recent gas tax that increased rates, gas is still among the cheapest in the country, so it can be cheaper to drive around. Trains and buses getting to the city are reasonably friendly though and for US standards, I consider public transportation above average. However, it's still US prices for Uber and such, so consider that if you want to use it during peak hours or to travel long distance.
Jersey can be considered the armpit state of the mid-Atlantic because it's centered around New York and Philadelphia, but despite the divide in city loyalty, Jersey still tries to have their own identity. The south takes pride in their beach towns and see it as theirs, while the north plays a bit of defense when it comes to state pride.
But, let's get to the pros and cons:
Pros
Location location location. Jersey offers a lot in this department. It is probably the only state with no major city of it's own to have the proximity of two of the 10 biggest cities in the country. Being next door to New York and Philadelphia is an impeccable advantage if stuck in the states. Being on the east coast, it's also in the percentage of states that have easy access to oceans. But it's not just that. There are also mountain towns in the north, as well as some mid-tier colleges not too far from each other, the state only takes a few hours to drive through, and the location leads to more variety of things to do from beaches, going to one of the cities for a day trip, amusement parks, hiking, fishing, plenty of sports, easy to drive to malls and bars, and mountains.
Diversity is another big key. This is more relative in the northern part of the state, but I've traveled through half of the US (mostly in the east) and have noticed you can find girls of almost any race you're looking for here. White girls, black girls, hispanic girls, asian girls, indian girls, even a few Muslim girls, Jersey has a little bit of every type you can think of.
Flexibility. I personally think this is underrated, but I'm someone that likes to roadtrip and take day trips a lot. Jersey is a very friendly state for that. You can basically go in all different directions for this. Lots of major cities within 5-6 hour driving distance as well as destinations. I've taken advantage of this for girls too.
Cons
Density. This might not be a problem for those of you living in populated Asian cities, but density bothers me a little more in Jersey than it does in Asia as someone that's been to both. It is the most densely populated state in the country and it doesn't take long to see that in daily life.
That leads into my next point, the attitude of Jersey residents. Because this state is densely populated, this gets magnetized around here. It might be entitlement from the women, but attitude is not great in men either. Jersey is the type of place where if you go up to someone at the wrong time, guy or girl, you can expect to get a mouthful. People don't really hold back here, whether it's obvious passive aggression or just more likely to get into direct fights in general. I feel like Jersey people have a short fuse, more hot headed, and are more openly trashy than other parts of the country. In a weird way, it almost feels like a battleground at times.
Notable Cities/Towns
Ok, I won't beat around the bush anymore. We will get to the notable towns. Obviously, I can't cover every single small town but you'll get an idea of where to look in this state.
Atlantic City
I'll start with probably the most well known, Mob City. AC is a great place to gamble, party, and chill if you have the right mindset for it. But, don't go in there with no money. It's not a place for the dead broke. I'm on a budget but even then I go in with a few hundred dollars. Here, Borgata is considered to be the best casino hotel.
There are a handful of other casinos such as Caesars, Harrah's, Golden Nugget, Tropicana, etc. I mainly have stayed in Tropicana but hopped around a couple other places.
The main thing I'd say here is be prepared to spend money at the clubs and tables while remembering most people here are on vacation. You can honestly use game at the blackjack table, craps table, or any table really besides poker. Meet an attractive girl and bond over the thrill of gambling while cracking in a few jokes. Best part is you don't have to buy her a drink because it's free if you're there. Side bars are good too because once in a while you get girls from the table, just getting down, or have already pre-gamed.
Dress sharp though. AC might not be what it used to, but this is still a respectable place where you need to dress for the occasion. Most girls do even if they're not in the clubs. I'd say the minimum is a buttoned shirt if you want to game. Personally, I always felt a better ROI was gaming at tables and casino bars versus the clubs with a high cover charge.
You can get a variety of girls from simple vacation slut tourists, cougars that may like to gamble and have had a couple drinks, or girls on a bachelorette party. Keep your logistics tight though with a room available in that casino or one right by it. Also, try not to walk the side streets at night. It's not exactly the safest area. As for day game, I don't go on the beach too much but from everything I've seen, AC is pretty dead during the day, at least compared to night, so I'd focus more on night game.
Other Shore Towns
These have kind of been talked about on the forum so I won't spend too much time with this considering I already did a lot on AC. There's a lot of shore towns in Jersey, but I'll stick with popular and underrated ones.
I'll start with Point Pleasant. I have local contacts here so I've seen more of it. You can try to day game on the beach here, but I wouldn't do it by Jenkinson's Boardwalk. This is the touristy boardwalk part in a small area, where Jersey residents and families on a budget really go for beach day trips or renting summer homes for a cheaper price. Bay Head is a good side beach about 5-10 minutes north that's quieter and you can actually find decent looking girls there every once in a while. Just remember it's Jersey so you may get blown out if you approach the wrong girl, but there's girls to be had.
PP is a small, mostly white town and it's in central Jersey but one of the more northern shore towns. When it comes to bars I've been to, there's surprisingly more of a small town feel to it rather than tourist beach crowd. I've partied here both in summer and winter. It may sound obvious but my failed experiment results in me saying stick to summer here. There's a club on the boardwalk with good live music called Jenks Club. It has a beach view with an outdoor deck, but also has about six different bar tables and a dance floor. Plenty of options. Mostly white girls when I've been here, but they seem to vary in age from early 20's to cougars in mid 30's. The older ones dress to show though to try to keep up. Bars usually close by 2 here, but that's in the whole state besides AC. My tip to guys here is use physical game (in terms of showing off assets) and try to find a balance of dressing better than cargo shorts, t-shirt, and flip flops while not going as far as a suit.
Next is Seaside Heights. This is more of the party town for younger members located in central Jersey. I can't say much for older lads about faring well here. It was made famous nationally by Jersey Shore, but it was always well known by the locals. If anything, they might get some more out-of-state tourists now. It was never my favorite beach area but for shore towns, you will probably find the most amount of clubs in one area.
Wildwood is a childhood spot of mine. It is an interestingly unique shore town located on the very southern tip of NJ. It is one of the bigger ones with the only publicly free beach in NJ on a regular basis, has probably the best boardwalk in the state and one of the best in the world, as well as just enough for adults. Wildwood probably offers the most variety. Families like to vacation here and there are a ton of hotels compared to the other shore towns. But, high school graduates go there to celebrate at the end of their years and early 20's kids still feel a connection to it. On the surface, it looks like a pure family shore town, but look a little deeper and you can find some nightlife for the rest of us.
A couple towns I want to point out that are probably a waste of time for guys like yourself are Ocean City and Cape May. Ocean City is located right next door to AC and it's the complete opposite personality. AC is Mob City for adults who like to party, gamble, drink a lot, and game with girls. Ocean City is purely a family town with mostly kids no older than high school. Very few college kids and young 20's people go here on their own. The reasons for this are obviously AC being right next door and the fact that OC is a dry town. No liquor stores and pretty strict rules about alcohol on the beach. Only beach in the state that checked my cooler for alcohol while I was on the beach! So night life is a no go there. As for Cape May, it's right next door to Wildwood and the last town before Delaware. It's a very quiet beach town that's pretty spread out. Mostly retirees and families go here. There's a little nightlife you can try your luck with and Cape May does have positives to offer being a peaceful old school beach town, but there's better towns for girls.
Personally, I think this last beach town is the one you guys would like the most. It's Monmouth. This is unique because it probably has the most to offer year-round. It's an upper class beach town that's located in northern New Jersey. This can be an expensive place to hang out, but can be a good ROI. Plenty of good looking girls hanging around here, a lot of people renting nice beach houses in the summer with a few hotels near the beach available. It's kind of a preppy boardwalk area with a few bars at night, the main restaurant/bar to take dates being McLoone's.
Monmouth is not like the other beach towns where you can see some obvious trashiness yet it's not extreme in trying to prevent it like Ocean City is. Big bonus here, one of the bigger state colleges are located within 15 minutes from the beach. Some of the older students live right by the water. If you're someone that likes to day game college campuses, Monmouth really has it all for you. You can go flip from exploring the campus to the beach. Make social connections and this can work for you well, along with the frat houses around other parts of the town.
The College Towns
Believe it or not, Jersey does have a couple of college towns. The main college in New Jersey is Rutgers, being the biggest school in the state. Campuses are spread all around, but the main one is located in New Brunswick, which is in central Jersey. For nightlife bars, the main ones in New Brunswick include Olde Queens, Golden Rail, and Scarlet Pub. These are kind of interchangeable to be honest and any will work. Rutgers relies more on social circle game than you might think though, so having connects is definitely an advantage. Definitely plenty of girls around. Asian and Indian girl presence is the biggest in New Jersey so if you like those chicks, this is your spot. Thursdays and the weekend are best here.
Montclair is another one in northern NJ. This is the second biggest state college in New Jersey. Montclair is a nice town and there are a diverse variety of girls available to game. This is a campus you really see the diversity of New Jersey. A big problem gaming girls here is that it's a "dry campus" so be more discrete with alcohol. There's a bar called Alexus walking distance from campus and Pub 46 about five minutes away by car. Tuesdays and weekends are best for Alexus, Thursdays are the prime day for Pub.
I don't know as much about this one, but Princeton is somewhere I would recommend by word of mouth. I have been here a few times and it's a nice neighborhood that looks to have decent bar options. Centrally located in the state with an Ivy League school in town. Other Ivy League schools have a work hard play reputation and I'm pretty confident Princeton is no different in this.
There's obviously more than the four I've spoken about, but these are spread out in four different areas of the state to give you an idea.
Other Cities/Towns
Now we get to the more normal cities in NJ. Most of these would probably be considered Tier 3 areas with maybe a couple of Tier 2's. So you could possibly find a hidden gem.
Morristown is probably the most underrated nightlife spot in Jersey. It's not extremely close to NY and in northern NJ so it goes under the radar compared to Hoboken. However, if you want an upper middle class town that's very safe to walk around and have the most quantity of 7's and 8's in their prime in one area, this is your spot. Park in a strip mall about a block away from the bars to save money on parking. Iron Bar and Grasshopper are the main two spots here. Iron Bar has two different floors, with the bottom being a complete dance and loud music scene. The upper floor looks more like a regular bar with music playing, but it's a bit easier to have a conversation with a chick up there.
Club game is somewhat important here. It's mostly white girls but the girls of other colors that do show up are normally hot. Again, I'd argue you won't find better quality in looks in NJ than Morristown. Being near Fairleigh Dickinson helps and it's more crowded during the school year. I'd say timing is important during peak days. You really have to get it perfectly because otherwise you could end up waiting an hour to get in. Some of you would use this to game girls in line which is an option, but I like to do my work inside and have a drink. Get to this spot by around 10:30. It will start wrapping up at 1:30.
Then there's Newark. Hear me out on this one. It's certainly not the spot people will want to hang out all night, but it can be used to your advantage. Center this around Prudential Center. They have Devils games, Seton Hall college basketball, and concerts there. Find out when one of these are taking place if you don't want to go to the actual event. Pre-game and post-game, there will be girls hanging around for a couple of hours since there are two bars literally right next to the arena and a couple more down the road. People don't stay too late, but for college, this could be opportunistic to build Seton Hall contacts, or maybe try to close a girl by staying at the nice Hilton hotel. There's an upscale bar called Market Street Bar on the ground floor there if you want to take a girl there to change locations. Biggest advantage to Newark is that it's two train stops away from New York City.
Finally, there's Hoboken/Jersey City. Arguably the most expensive spot for young 20's people to live in NJ, but also arguably the most opportunistic for game. This place does not come cheap but it is still reasonable compared to New York with the convenience of being a train stop away with an impeccable view. Hoboken has a wide variety of restaurants, hang out spots, parks to walk around with great views of New York. Rent near Washington Street if you can, this is where the main action is. There's plenty of bars to go searching around, most close between 2-3. Some are even active during the day on weekends. Like college campuses, Hoboken is pretty diverse. It's kind of like New York City's child in New Jersey in a good way. More than enough bar options around here but too many to break down individually with the length of this datasheet already.
Summary
Jersey is kind of what you think it is, but for east coast Americans it can be an interesting experience. It's best for those that can't afford to live in a US Tier 1 city like New York or Philadelphia. There's obviously more to do in the summer but a surprising amount to do in the winter.
If you travel to Asia like I do, Jersey can even help build up an immunity to densely populated cities. I go out to the Midwest and it's hilarious what those Americans consider to be traffic. I swear when I go to Manila or Taipei, traffic and densely populated people doesn't have that big of an effect on me because that's my home environment.

I don't know as much about this one, but Princeton is somewhere I would recommend by word of mouth. I have been here a few times and it's a nice neighborhood that looks to have decent bar options. Centrally located in the state with an Ivy League school in town. Other Ivy League schools have a work hard play reputation and I'm pretty confident Princeton is no different in this.
There's obviously more than the four I've spoken about, but these are spread out in four different areas of the state to give you an idea.
Other Cities/Towns
Now we get to the more normal cities in NJ. Most of these would probably be considered Tier 3 areas with maybe a couple of Tier 2's. So you could possibly find a hidden gem.
Morristown is probably the most underrated nightlife spot in Jersey. It's not extremely close to NY and in northern NJ so it goes under the radar compared to Hoboken. However, if you want an upper middle class town that's very safe to walk around and have the most quantity of 7's and 8's in their prime in one area, this is your spot. Park in a strip mall about a block away from the bars to save money on parking. Iron Bar and Grasshopper are the main two spots here. Iron Bar has two different floors, with the bottom being a complete dance and loud music scene. The upper floor looks more like a regular bar with music playing, but it's a bit easier to have a conversation with a chick up there.
Club game is somewhat important here. It's mostly white girls but the girls of other colors that do show up are normally hot. Again, I'd argue you won't find better quality in looks in NJ than Morristown. Being near Fairleigh Dickinson helps and it's more crowded during the school year. I'd say timing is important during peak days. You really have to get it perfectly because otherwise you could end up waiting an hour to get in. Some of you would use this to game girls in line which is an option, but I like to do my work inside and have a drink. Get to this spot by around 10:30. It will start wrapping up at 1:30.
Then there's Newark. Hear me out on this one. It's certainly not the spot people will want to hang out all night, but it can be used to your advantage. Center this around Prudential Center. They have Devils games, Seton Hall college basketball, and concerts there. Find out when one of these are taking place if you don't want to go to the actual event. Pre-game and post-game, there will be girls hanging around for a couple of hours since there are two bars literally right next to the arena and a couple more down the road. People don't stay too late, but for college, this could be opportunistic to build Seton Hall contacts, or maybe try to close a girl by staying at the nice Hilton hotel. There's an upscale bar called Market Street Bar on the ground floor there if you want to take a girl there to change locations. Biggest advantage to Newark is that it's two train stops away from New York City.
Finally, there's Hoboken/Jersey City. Arguably the most expensive spot for young 20's people to live in NJ, but also arguably the most opportunistic for game. This place does not come cheap but it is still reasonable compared to New York with the convenience of being a train stop away with an impeccable view. Hoboken has a wide variety of restaurants, hang out spots, parks to walk around with great views of New York. Rent near Washington Street if you can, this is where the main action is. There's plenty of bars to go searching around, most close between 2-3. Some are even active during the day on weekends. Like college campuses, Hoboken is pretty diverse. It's kind of like New York City's child in New Jersey in a good way. More than enough bar options around here but too many to break down individually with the length of this datasheet already.
Summary
Jersey is kind of what you think it is, but for east coast Americans it can be an interesting experience. It's best for those that can't afford to live in a US Tier 1 city like New York or Philadelphia. There's obviously more to do in the summer but a surprising amount to do in the winter.
If you travel to Asia like I do, Jersey can even help build up an immunity to densely populated cities. I go out to the Midwest and it's hilarious what those Americans consider to be traffic. I swear when I go to Manila or Taipei, traffic and densely populated people doesn't have that big of an effect on me because that's my home environment.
Anyway, it's Jersey so it's funny that I spent four hours writing this for somewhere that probably won't be that popular on the forum because it's an American state with not the best reputation. While it's not the easiest place in the world, location, diversity, and flexibility may give you a surprising experience here.
