After lurking/exchanging some ideas with the almighty RVF for about a year now, I thought I’d celebrate my departure from Chicago with the fruits of my experience via datasheet. This one’s different in that it focuses only on venues where girls are horny and looking to get banged. Weekend after weekend was spent prying around every corner of the city (having a motorbike helped), not to find the hottest talent, or near tourist spots, or even to find best logistics: my intentions were purely for beginners/intermediates who want action with the least amount of bullshit.
And for those that'd bitch that I’m not name-dropping specific venues in the districts that follow, get out and walk around. These districts are districts for a reason and you can find a spot you like quickly, the ones that are worth going the extra mile for, I write about.

Weather: The datasheet is written with the assumption that you are here in the summer. Members in other topics aren’t lying - the action never holds up with celebration spilling into the streets 4-5 days a week. On top of that, you get the smoking hot suburban girls that otherwise wouldn’t waste their time in the bitter cold making the 20-mile trip down to the city (so before thinking getting a hotel will fix the problem…)
Diversity: Unlike L.A./NYC/Miami, Chicago doesn’t exactly fall into the “melting pot” category that the US embodies. As a result, there’s a general impression that because the women are more local, it’s harder to pull one-nighters. It’s somewhat true - girls may not sleep with you on a random night, but during special events there’s no reason to let this stereotype hold you back.
Friendliness: On the other hand, Chicago has the reputation for strangers being friendlier to you than the other cities. My experience is limited with them, but in other cities ethnicities will segregate themselves in their own irish pubs, latino clubs, etc. and look at you funny if they find you with them. In Chicago people mingle far more easily and borders are erased - not just ethnic borders, but scenes/crowds in general, so use that to your advantage and cold approach!
Music: Chicago has possibly the best music scene in the US. And it’s not all about the jazz and blues - some of the hottest alternative bands, rappers, and DJs come through on a regular basis for dirt cheap. 3-day festivals, on the other hand, congregate from June-September and disperse their attendees to afterparties throughout the city. I’ve seen girls get swooped by 30+ year-old guys after shows so don’t let age be a factor. If you have a solid sense of current music, it’ll be a great asset to your game here.


Districts

River North: - this is the prime spot for traditional game, and seems to be where most members are fixated on. I’ve gone out with RSD, the Chicago Lair, and a couple RVF members strictly in this area, for better or for worse. Standard fare - suburban girls, professional men, classy interiors, and generally positive vibes, this is where people go to feel like they’re on top of the world. Follow suit and suit-up. Smaller venues: will have an older crowd trying to grasp onto their youth, and feature niche themes and music. Larger venues: will be filled with a younger crowd, scricter dress code, and long lines after 11pm (1+ hrs not uncommon) making venue-changes difficult. Pick up a couple hot girls at another spot and bring them straight to the bouncer, he’ll let you all in (infuriating the betas waiting next in line).
Wrigleyville/Boystown: Easily the most densely-packed nightlife of Chicago, Wrigley Field is the most famous baseball stadium by day, but serves as the base for 2 roads (Clark and Sheffield) lined by bars by night. Reputation? Douchbags wearing sports jerseys, and snobby bitches. Your choices? Generate some attitude, or hunt the 5% of girls who are sensible.. for some reason I run into a lot of out-of-towner chicks from Wisconsin and get more numbers from them than locals. Clark Street after 2 a.m. is an absolute riot, so if you’re good at snatching chicks before they hop into that taxi this is the place to do it. It’s also a window to Boystown, a gay district snuggled in a bit southwest of Wrigley. While the chicks here also got attitude, they’re also far less judgemental and are the easiest bangs in the city - there are only 2 clubs that are primarily for gays, the rest are a solid mix.
Wicker Park: On the other side of the highway, you’ll find the “alternative” version of college partying, Wicker Park. These chicks have lower standards, don’t care about their reputation, and work shitty LAS jobs and thus attracted to money. Unfortunately the more sparsely distributed venues make it harder to find the action, though Milwaukee Ave is spotted with top-notch venues to hit up on your way to the center. The most hilarious technique to use here is show you’re “different” by not being a clingy hipster; by portraying relative stability, girls dive in quick. I’ve gotten most of my bangs in Chicago from women in their late 20’s here, though the younger girls are wonderful too. Bring your target to Danny’s as the venue-change.
Lincoln Park: Lincoln Park is a semi-classy, antique neighborhood filled with successful lads in their mid-20’s, scenic bars, and features a university campus that cuts through Lincoln Ave which is where most of the venues are. The girls are least receptive here, for reasons I can only guess at - no one expects to get “picked up” here; overall my approaches are met with confusion, and hooking up seems to only happen between mutual connections and such. However, it’s neutral tone may be appealing with a combination of sporty/classy/dirty venues, and it does have the best food out of all districts making it a great spot for dates. Just prepare to need a lot of rapport before getting any action.


The Big 3

If you’re new to Chicago, start with these to get familiar with the scene due to size:

Castle (Dearborn/Ontario)
Practically in the heart of River North, Castle is probably the best introduction to Chicago nightlife. It’s newly renovated (as of spring 2013), has open space, 3 floors, flashy lights, friendly bouncers and decent DJs. Cover hovers around the $10 range and attire is surprisingly casual. The first floor is free to get into and is supposedly a semi-gay bar, which means a super fun crowd and decent number of hookup opportunities. in all honesty, I’ve had better success here than on the upper floors - so keep it in mind for the “venue change” (upstairs). Upstairs you’ll find the standard fare - private tables lining the walls and balconies, dancefloor in the middle with tons of side space, though music gets turned up by 10:30 so don’t expect deep conversation while lounging with your girl. Open her before then, then drag her over once the DJ kicks in since it's pretty hard to open girls on the floor once it gets going. Girls here are only responsive to the wildest dudes doing their own thing or got some weird get-up; I didn’t pull anything until I brought rave toys though they hand some out sometimes. Biggest obstacle is dudes pandering to bottle rats who will flock to the tables in the middle of your interaction, a lot of them seem pretty new to the scene. Lots of props for your game (aerobics dancers)

V-Live (Milwaukee/Armitage)
I have personally never had the opportunity to check out V-Live in depth, but know it is a huge venue. It panders largely to a Latino crowd (like 50%) and honestly the girls were pretty bitchy (though hot) from what I remember. Don’t let it get to you though - the place has 2 dancefloors and lots of eye candy. Dress nice as staff are dicks. Overall it was fairly similar to Castle, just a seedier area and more minorities trying to be divas. Biggest problem is there’s not much else in the vicinity other than a couple food joints and Congress Theater (which is now shut down).

Joes (North/Sheffield)
Another sweet multi-level venue to start off in, Joe’s panders to a younger.aggressive crowd. Most of the time it’s known for being a sports bar + country music, and Tuesday nights are especially popular with 25-cent beers, but be prepared for a line on weekend nights too. Crowd is mostly hicks + Latinos (there’s a reason Jersey Shore members showed up here), music has a hip-hop edge to it, and the TVs switch to music videos once the night kicks in. Half the place is an absolute mess of kids dancing, other half lounges/smokes outside. ADD levels are through the roof so you’ll need a riveting opener, but there are lots of foreign chicks (I’ve met from Ireland, Canada, Jordan) that more than make up for it. Game is the opposite of Castle - dance first, then pull em outside or to the roofdeck. It’s not the most charming but a great way to interact with tons of young chicks and get a feel for the city. It helps if you’re into sports.


Where to get laid - no bullshit

Now for the meat of the datasheet. I’m not going to go into heavy details of each place, just go in knowing that chances of hooking up are sky high, filled with betas desparate to hook up, and are glossed over by the typical tourist.

Evil Olive: The hazy dancefloor and some brand-new strobe lighting bathes this semi-alternative venue, helping ugly dudes (who can dance) get laid with chicks from all across the spectrum - ex-cheerleaders, hippies, latinos, chicks w/ half their heads shaved.. it’s all worth it for the absolute insanity that goes on here. It’s most famous for its Porn & Chicken nights Mondays, where they literally play vintage porn on the TVs alongside the DJ’s electro music while a guy dressed as a chicken pours liquor into everyones gaping mouths. There are no rules here, other than the odd not being able to take photos. Make sure you’re prepared for a cab ride out as the rest of Wicker Park (1 block north) will be closed by the time it gets poppin here.

Mad River: one of the few joints in Chi that will actually feature all-you-can-drink. Located a bit north of the main area of Lincoln Park (there are about 3-4 spots on the strip), go on a Friday which is when the free flow is happening. The way it works is the kids go in on a separate night, sign up for the lottery list that will supposedly strike free flow, but in reality they pretty much email everyone and whoever brings the most people wins a prize. As such it turns into a massive shitshow and you don’t even necessarily have to pre-open chicks because they will walk home with nearly anybody. Beer destroys the game of newbies here (I’ve noticed that they’d even be too wasted to give a shit about getting laid) giving you an advantage. Make sure to bring your college campus game in here and don’t associate yourself as being a student or whatever.

Big City Tap: 90% of Wrigleyville chicks hop into cabs after 2am, but the rest swarm Big City Tap to keep the night going. The crowd’s got a bit more decency than the above 2 options, the semi-tolerable top 40 music is worth checking out the scene for. Dancefloor is fairly small though there’s no place to escape the loud music other than outside. Lots of betas here trying to pick up. Semi-gay friendly.

Berlin Club: My personal favorite club in Chicago. The music they play here is off the hook (a lot like EU, suitably) and the chicks are down to make out in seconds. Although it was introduced to me as a lesbian bar, only about 1/3 of the bar is LGBT and rest are still easily amused, like showing/taking pics with them. Dance on the elevated section to pull girls in. Even though it doesn’t get going until ~midnight, I like getting here early and getting drunk as fuck to build social proof once the hotties roll in. Get their long island iced teas, they are good luck Although I haven’t tried pulling girls here as a venue-change, I have a feeling it would work wonders.

Smartbar: The most famous venue on this list, attached to the Metro but a lot better for picking up chicks. Although I haven’t had much luck here, my friends have picked up girls outside the club for easy ONS’s and it’s far superior to Spybar for getting some action. Don’t be fooled by the impression that it’s only for aftershows - people line up here even around 10pm. Mostly filled with neighborhood girls that not celebrating anything specific, and DJs are typically low-key too (pick a night when they’re playing house). Extremely friendly staff which is probably a big reason for good vibes from the girls.

Danny’s: Yet another dance joint but this one has plenty of space in the back for traditional game. Music is eclectic and changes every night, I personally struggle with the dancing but the place is filled with so many losers it’s hard to fuck up with the gorgeous girls that do roll through here. I recommend picking up girls from central Wicker Oark (Cast Iron or Crocodile) and bringing them here as chicks never say no to Danny’s; the soft lighting and couches are perfect for kicking back with your target.

Alice’s: The last but possibly my favorite venue for getting laid, this low-key karaoke joint northwest of the city is filled with grungey/punk chicks in a fairly tiny space. It only gets popping on weekends so don’t waste your time otherwise, but it feels like the girls approach you (or maybe it’s because I’m the only decently-dressed guy in there) they are aggressive as fuck, I nearly got pulled into the girl’s bathroom by one after not saying a word to her (I was too pussy to do it) but have gotten makeouts the last 3 times I’ve come here. You don’t necessarily have to sing but it’ll help. Surprisingly it doesn’t get too loud, cons are that people will take notice of you quickly (since it’s fairly small) and not much else in the vicinity. Only the girl’s bathroom has a lock on it, by the way

Bonus: Concert / Festival game

For those that find themselves in Chicago in the fall/winter, get familiar with the following venues:

House of Blues
Park West
Lincoln Hall
The Vic
Subterranean

There are other major venues (The Metro, Aragon Theater) but none of them were that conductive to game. Check each of their websites for a calendar of shows and pick one that you feel would attract the crowd you want. In the 30 minutes before the show starts, eavesdrop on various target’s group, throw in some funny lines (I somehow come up with the craziest shit), build rapport and you’re in. If they’re not receptive, MOVE because someone else will be. Most guys don’t use these venues to pick up chicks so you’re automatically put in the top 1%, but won’t get one-nighters either.

If it’s a popular show, look for girls that are out-of-towners. You’d be surprised how fucking far some groups of girls come to see a famous musician (i.e. anything $50+), so once you catch one get the hotel logistics right and make your place sound like a better option - if she’s only going to be here for 48 hrs she’ll wanna go hard. Worst case scenario is when they’re staying at a “friend’s place”; it’s hard to tell if they are BSing about it
If it’s an indie show, pretend you are the new one in town. Say you haven’t found a girl as cool as her/them that come to similar shows, and that you need to have her number for future events out. It’s a good idea to have a future show in mind to bring up (“well if you saw A, we should see B”) and most likely she’ll invite you to a house party before B even happens. Since most of us are well-traveled it should be easy to describe the place you “moved” from (I choose SF)


Festival formula:

Use chicago.metromix.com to find a list of events for the entire summer. It might be daunting if you don’t live in Chicago, but opening these girls is so easy it’s absurd. Street fests require authentic, genuine game / observations. I’m fortunate enough to have a group of friends to keep my state high as I drift from set to set, but it’s also easy to chat up everyone behind the counters then transfer the conversation to a nearby target, in which she will most likely bring you to her circle of friends and introduce you. Tons of festival items as props for your game, any funny shit they are handing out (best one was free vibrators), not dissimilar to Roosh’s own formula. My game is indirect, but I’ve had wings that brought heavy direct game with these girls, they get numbers like crazy.

Once the festival is over and you’ve collected a solid circle of 5-10 people by the end of the evening (easy with wings), start claiming an “afterparty” nearby and drag them along. It’s okay if half your group is guys, because on your way out, you can grab any other stray random girls / couples on the sidewalk and drag them into the mass group (by this time Chicago chicks have insane buying temperature, and will give in to the slightest nudge). By the time you hit the hotel it won’t matter if there’s really an afterparty there, just play enough Girl Talk/R.Kelly/Gwen Stafani that none of them will give a fuck. Having great wings here is key so I’d coordinate with other RVFers to pull it off if you don't have friends in the city.

I do want to mention that evilOlive's "Porn n Chicken" Monday nights are ridiculous. Truly, truly, truly ridiculous. I think they have a Facebook page with videos -- take those videos and multiply by 50 (after 2am).

Also if you say click on "Castle" and then zoom right in you can clearly seem marked on the map other bars nearby like Vertigo Sky Lounge for example and then click on it and get more info. Useful if you dont have a car and can't deal with how spread out all these venues are.

Alright first post...I'll add a few venues and do this based on neighborhood. First off let me say that Cyclone did a good job of breaking down the different neighborhoods, but I'm going to have to respectfully disagree on a few of his venue choices.

Evil Olive is probably only worth going to on Monday nights for a debauchery-filled time. It has changed ownership recently and is a pretty rough/ghetto crowd. I used to go there so often they stopped carding me, but now I avoid it.

Castle is pretty much a mega-club for people who are from out of town/live in the suburbs. It is predominantly Asian, so if that is your cup of tea then by all means proceed. However they tend to be cliquey and it can be hard to isolate them from their groups.

Joes I find to be a trashy crowd, and my experience at Big City has been sausage festive.

OK then here we go:

Wrigleyville/Lakeview

Kirkwood and Sheffield's: Similar type bars with lots of cute yuppie 20-something girls. Kirkwood is an Indiana University alumni bar, and if you've ever been to Btown the talent level is undeniable. You can open girls by asking them if they went to IU, then BS about how you used to visit your friend there or something. Both of these venues have nice patios.

Deuces and Diamonds: This is probably the most upscale Wrigleyville bar. I've seen a solid level of talent but beware of bitch shields and bros.

Houndstooth Saloon: This place is a gem. Country music nights bring out all the girls. If there's one thing I've learned, white chicks love country music. I had a friend who used to clean up here...I personally can't tolerate country music but if you can this place is worth a visit.

LP

Lincoln Park can be kind of tough to pull from because of the Depaul University presence. I've had some success there but usually just in the form of sloppy drunk game where the girls are just as intoxicated as I am. Here's my two favorite venues:

The Apartment: The Apartment is above the bar Lion's Head and is slightly more clubby. Dance floor game will work here, but I prefer to orbit around the bar area and take shots with girls. Another option is to meet girls in the more chill downstairs area then invite them upstairs to dance.

Kingston Mines: Classic Chicago blues bar. Attracts a lot of out of towners and Depaul girls looking to let loose. They stay open till 4am and 5am on Saturdays so this is a good late night option.

The whole Lincoln avenue strip is packed with bars so you can probably find something to your liking, Halligan/John Barleycorn are also popular.

Wicker Park

Wicker is essentially divided into two strips, the North and Damen intersection and the Division street bars. I'll just split them up and list a couple venues, starting with North and Damen.

Louie's/Estelle's/Big Star/Crocodile/Flat Iron: Louie's is a karaoke bar that if you catch on the right night can be swarming with girls. It's really hit or miss, but the layout fosters mingling. Estelle's is slightly more hipster but can attract very approachable girls and has a late night license (4/5am). Big Star is probably the most famous hotspot in Wicker. Go early on a nice day and the patio will be rocking, the food is also quite good. It's the kind of spot where more posh girls from other neighborhoods go to experience Wicker and get a little weird. I have some personal beef with the management at Crocodile, but I can't deny that on the weekend nights there are lots of girls swarming about. My personal favorite late night bar is the Flat Iron, but be warned this is more of an alternative/rocker/hipster crowd. They do have pool tables and a photobooth...I wouldn't show up here suited down but I have had success here dressing nicely and providing a contrast to the starving artist dudes that mill about.

Fifty/50, Innjoy, Shambles, and The Bedford: The first 3 are right by each other with Shambles being the late night option. Innjoy I think only plays 80s/90s music, so attracts a slightly older (relative to the area) crowd with lots of women looking to get down. The Bedford is a little classier joint, and a cool venue. This is a great date spot if you go early enough. Later in the evening it gets pretty crowded and you can find some talent there.

River North

American Junkie: This is the hot new venue in River North. Lots of top tier talent and a cool upstairs area. Dress to impress.

Moe's Cantina/Barleycorn: These two bars are right next to each other and attract similar crowds...slightly upscale but with a lot of "thirtythousandaires". I've had a lot of success getting phone numbers at these venues but not so much with SNLs.

Siena Tavern This is a sneaky pick, because it is really more of a restaurant. However the bar area gets quite lively and is prime for picking up hot rich cougars. Definitely a place to throw on a blazer for, at the very least it's worth stopping by for a drink to see what's there.

Hope this was helpful, and if there is interest I can do a short post on Old Town which is another smaller strip of bars.

Just got back from Chicago For NYE and honestly the trip was a let down nightgame wise. Bad Weather and the cold kept many people out and of course poor decision making by me.

Arrived Saturday night met up with a fellow gamer He took me to division street, however he focuses more on daygame and from the vibe I got he wasn't all that familiar with the nightime venues



Violet Hour--It's a "Couples" Lounge, great ambiance but not for macking



Vertigo Sky Lounge--They wanted us to pay $20 no thanks Jeff, we get in for free. I had a free shot coupon and what a joke, shit was barely a swallow.

There was just one big group for a birthday party, didn't approach, nothing really intrigued me here

Overall it looked really slow for a Saturday night, ended up calling it a night early

Mistake #1

Sunday

Public House--touristy place in the River North area, the place looks like it has potential

This is sadly the only highlight of my trip nightgame wise, I run into this Colin Ferrell look a like. We talk bitches and Game (He is from Toronto? say word?). He says he can get me into Underground, for those that live in the chi you know the underground is one of the hardest places to get into unless you buying a table or are on the guestlist etc. They even turn bitches down if they ugly (srs)

But we go to Bull&Bear aka Douchebag central--nothing but meatheads here and average chicks. I open a set or two but nothing

Go to Underground security tries to front on Collin, he makes a phone call and we get in. It's mostly a VIPish type club not even a dancefloor

However Legit hands down this was my favorite place. Hot chicks everywhere, great ambiance and it wasn't pretentious even the hotties was "twerkin" or trying too

My new wing gets zoned in on a cute brunette. At first she is not feeling my boy but then he bought her, her friend and I a shot of Patron Cafe and now all of a sudden she is playing nice

It snows Chicago is dead I go to Clark Street to a bar that was recommended to me from a Gamer I met earlier that day. The bar is called John Barleycorn shit is closed, it looks like a graveyard I grab a hot dog and call it a night getting primed for NYE

Tuesday

Same guy who recommended Clark street, We made plans to hit up The Palmer Hotel I do more research and shit looks like couples night. I find out that Castle had a great deal and logistics where perfect (Open till 5 am, a half mile walk to my hotel...cha ching!)

Try to buy tickets for self they sold out FML

I ended up going to Funky Budda Lounge instead $80, all you can drink premium and they got Hip-Hop, I heard the crowd was diverse why not

I get there early cause I was afraid they may sell outta tickets place doesn't get popping till about 11. The crowd is 75% black, which is cool except the finest sisters of course have boyfriends and now you got nothing but ratchets and Hippos

See two chicks, open them up come to find out they are from Germany, my German is poor but I still can carry on a convo pretty good they are impressed. The one chick is just thick as fuck and my ideal type. Phat ass, nice tits cute face but she is not drinking. Looks bored suffice to say the interaction fizzles out. This dude who looks like Barry O Jr. wings for me but he is already sloopy drunk.



I approach this banging milf and her sister well they actually opened me I was about to leave. The sister goes in the bathroom and I'm vibing with the milf but then her daugther walks in WTF who goes out with their daugther to the club? just my luck that her daugther looks like Beyonce and after that the vibe is tarnished. Its like the mom was afraid to be caught or something. I've been cockblocked before but how do you recover from a "Daughter" cockblock?

No cabs talk a very nice intorspetive 1.5 walk home, plotting, scheming....

In conclusion

I just don't think I hit the right venues and also came at a bad time(NYE there was 4 inch mini Snowstrom). I will deiftnely go again in the summer and next time allow myself more time to hit up my ideal venues. Daytime wise I hit some of the tourist sights and I was pleased with that...I know Chicago is better then this so no excuses

Yes. Unlike in New York where people gather in Times square, people in Chicago gather around Grant Park and Millenium Park for the countdown. Businesses and bars are opened all night. I have so much fun in Chicago whenever New Years comes around.

Ive gotten a few PM asking about chicago nye stuff. I cant recommend specific places but just a few things to keep in mind if you are thinking about visiting during NYE

1) Its probably going to be freezing. Just hope there isnt a snow storm.
2) Traffic will be a nightmare in the popular spots (Wicker Park, L.P, Lakeview, Hubbard area)
3) Pick your target area and draw a 3 block radius around it. Once you get to bar/club you'r stuck in the area until 2am. Good luck trying to find a cab/uber
4) All the hotel parties will suck but they will probably have the most number of people.
5) Look for groupons/living social/gilt etc deals for hotels/club nye deals. Ive scene a few of them
6) Go somewhere warm instead and come back during St Pats day weekend.

Any recommendations on what to do for Paddies day in Chicago?

For NYE, yeah, Chya's got it down, although you can certainly be more optimistic about it.. keep in mind that a lot of areas are closed off for "exclusive events" which can piss you off. i usually ended up at a college campus party (i'm always either in Asia or San Francisco for NYE after college).

For St. Paddy's, the hotspot is obviously Wrigleyville, but as usual you've gotta have obnoxious game to really turn heads. i never checked out any of the other districts during this time..

I'll be around here coming Saturday (and Sunday) night 7/8 Feb, any differences from 1.5 years ago in terms of preferable venues or new ones? I prefer electronic dance music clubs since I've heard hiphop all week and getting tired of it. In terms of girls, midrange-classy. I'm Dutch and on a college exchange for a week with a few other students.

This thread is focusing towards the tourist-y parts of Chicago. I wanna meet girls who are looking for fun, want to get laid without the hassle of chasing high-end tail. Where are some chill bars around Chicago to find some hot mamis looking for a hook-up?? I've heard Mambo cafe and other parts of the West/Northwest side are worth looking into?

Most of the chill bars in Chicago aren't great for getting laid. But I've had luck at these locations:

Sound Bar: In River North, lots of Asian Girls
Nacional 27: In River North as well, mostly Latin American girls
The Apartment: Lincoln Park, mostly younger DePaul Crowd.

These places aren't pretentious and you won't see many tourists.

I've been reading through the Chicago threads as I'll be headed there during the Labor Day weekend. Based on my price range and preferences, Wicker Park and Lakeview provide the best logistics, although I am leaning more toward the former. I plan on daygaming as well as going out during the night (more inclined to less and less fratty bar venues) along with some pipelining on Tinder beforehand in order to maximize my chances of the ONS. I'm a younger black guy in his 20's who typically goes after non-black girls although any attractive girl that I come across will have my notice. Any other neighborhoods that I should consider?

I think Lincoln Park and Downtown are slightly better logistically but you can't go wrong with Wicker Park and Lakeview.

Old Town if you want plenty of hot stuck up white girls. Wells St. has tons of bars in a two block stretch. No "clubs" here but if you want that, you go to River North instead. OT is also in the "middle" between River North to the south and Lincoln Park/Lakeview to the north, so it's pretty easy to switch neighborhoods fast. Note that OT has a "fratty" vibe but it's still nevertheless a popular spot on the weekends.

Wicker is pretty much on an island away from the other north side hoods. It has more of a hipster vibe if that's your thing.
